I always intended to get it on a portable platform (Vita or 3ds or wherever it may end up at the time) so when the Switch version was announced I was so excited. Post launch and the game is the black sheep of the family, and almost feels like an after thought. Had they focused on straight porting it after the other console releases it may have ended up being way better, but who knows. 505 games doesn't seem to care about the Switch version at all
@Jeronan hori, 8bitdo and steel series are all made in China, never heard one complaint in Durability from all of the people I know who've used their products (myself included). Yeah Microsoft do make amazing controllers, especially the Elite, but in this instance it seems like MS is releasing a niche device
@StableInvadeel yeah but companies like steelseries, 8bitdo, phone joy, and even Hori, among others, have made products natively compatible with both mobile OSes and some even have headphone jacks and speakers too, so its nothing really new. Unless they have a feature we don't know of, it looks like a pointless expense on Microsoft's side.
Every other Chinese mobile controller mostly does what this thing is supposed to do, and guaranteed for way less... So what makes this anything special?
To all the people saying I'm just lucky or that I don't play enough games, I actually own over 50 titles on the Switch and have played Smash for over 100 hours... So it's not that I don't play a lot of games, maybe some of the first batch of Joycons never had low quality graphite? Or perhaps it's because I use analog caps on my Joycons since day one? (I dunno maybe the caps reduce the distance the sticks can go or something?)
Hori have been making consistently awesome products since the DS for Nintendo handhelds so I'm not surprised. I love the dpad joycon they made for the Switch and am excited for the pro joycons they will launch soon, and can't wait to see what weird products they launch for the lite!
What I don't understand is why Capcom don't just hire Panic Button to port Re2 and Re7 is beyond my understanding... The Switch is more than capable of handling a lower res, lower poly version of both, and Panic Button are the only devs that can do the porting justice...
About damn time I've been waiting for this since i messaged their team about the Switch and they told me keep my eyes peeled for a release date... That was a year ago!
@retro_player_22 how about also a doom trilogy (or doom BFG edition) along with a quake pack and the original Wolfentstein since we only started with the Second one
He expects comments about his game being trash then he should also be open to the idea that platform holders wouldn't want said trash. Also, that game looks like burnt trash.
The back buttons are programmable buttons, the turbo rapid fire function is for any of the buttons after you tap the turbo button. It's standard on most Hori controllers these days
Wow that's actually way too high than I was willing to shell out for this game. Even Square Enix, the master of over priced ports, just launched an HD remaster of the Last Remnant for only 20 bucks.
I'll wait for a sale for this one.
Note: Edited because of some moron who can't chill out on recommendations.
I really wish this was a physical copy game but I'm stoked we are getting this at all. Definitely buying it day one!
I hope the AI partner isn't a doofus tho
@TheAwesomeBowser oh I dunno... Maybe the upcoming Wolfentstein game and some of Square Enix's "physical" copies might lead us to believe that not all games get actual cards in the case?
For 20 bucks I was expecting a little more variety - 90% shooters isn't exactly exciting. There were so many other classic arcade games from Konami's past that deserved to be on this list (TMNT arcade, Pooyan - tho technically also a shooter, Penguin Adventure, etc.) The inclusion of Haunted Castle is kind of baffling - why not put this one in the Castlevania collection? Maybe this was the only way to get attention for non bullet hell fans?
I still think the switch lite will be smaller (5 inch display instead of 6) and will probably have non detachable joy cons but still retain dockable mode. What I am sure of though is that they won't remove touch functionality like this guy did, and they'll probably remove the kick stand just to shave a few centimeters off the overall size of the device. Maybe they'll bring back transparent designs of the 2ds too?
The fact that they can implement a change without a patch leads me to believe they had this system in place all just for the greediness factor. This isn't a mobile game, we are paying full price for a console title... You already got our hard earned cash
In household like mine, where we have multiple gamers, I wouldn't mind picking up a cheaper Switch that is mostly handheld for when we need to be out and about while the family plays on the dock. Then again this could be similar to the 2ds and geared towards kids so a plus point would be joycons that don't come off and are less likely to break
@Ludovsky wow that's a whole load of info I wasnt expecting when I wrote my comment lol But I like where you are going with yours, Dragon Quest characters would be a welcome addition, as it's a series that doesn't get its due respect in the west and I'm sure that would cause a heightened interest in the series.
Also we need something completely random like Stanley the Bugman from Donkey Kong 3 just to give us some variety
@BenAV yeah I guess it's new but there's like 20 similar android clones that look just like this one though. Hopefully this one isn't plagued with iaps
Isn't this a free to play mobile game? Or a clone of one as I'm sure I've seen something similar on Android... But at least they are asking for 2 bucks as opposed to the insane devs asking for 20 for a mobile port

Launch Switch, extra pair of launch joy cons... None have the issue. Is it that I just take care of my electronics or did I get lucky?
