@Jokerwolf bold of you to assume I haven't played Am2r, along with other fan hacks of Super and the original Metroid. In any case, my point still stands. Defend it as much as you can, Still doesn't make it official or canon.

I will never understand how "fans" of the series will side with an unofficial game over the official ones, like AM2R. It's not official, it is not canon, and it's never going to be acknowledged by Nintendo. Why defend it when it doesn't officially exist?

@nessisonett you do know Capcom is directly responsible for the Switch having 4 gb ram and that the original plan was for RE 7 to be ported to the Switch at launch? Capcom just decided to be lazy and give the world RE7 cloud edition and because that back fired, hey games don't sell on the Switch. Someone on YouTube even tried using the specs of the Switch with RE7 on pc just to see if it worked and it did surprisingly well. And after Doom and Witcher 3 working fine on Switch, I doubt anyone when they claim the Switch can't handle PS4 ports

The Switch is more powerful than the Xbox 360, which itself got remasters of the previous entries in the series... Yet the Switch can't handle them? Yeah pure BS from Nomura.
Laziness is the real answer as to why we won't get them.
Just like Capcom and not porting any of their remakes of RE

@Shade_Koopa but what about couch co-op? We don't even get that from the original and we are forced to splurge for 4 copies of the game when all you needed in the original was 1 copy and 4 gbas. Here they could have let us have 1 copy and 3 mobiles/consoles.

@Daniel36 I wasnt aware that we could still play with others with friend codes. That kind of makes it ok I guess, but being region locked despite being on the same couch is bizarre and weird. And the original game was ALL about being next to each other on the couch thanks to having GBAs as controllers. So yeah, I won't be supporting this game for the time being either.

Were it not for the region locking, I'm sure this would be a million seller. But it's Square-Enix, and they have to do SOMETHING to screw with their games' chances...

@SwitchVogel Ironically it's also the one everyone seems to complain about, with it being so short. I, on the other hand, love it to bits and cannot fathom how it managed to stay on the top 20 list till now. I mean we've had Mario Galaxy and Odyssey in that time frame!

Wow I remember playing Street Fighter and Street Fighter 2 (Original build) in the arcades as a child, and loving the limited Characters we had.
Never played 3, Alpha, or its variants but I did try 4 and 5 and seeing the evolution of the series was joyful.
Sadly, everything must come to an end someday and his parting with Capcom comes after 30 long years! So good luck to Mr Ono on whatever he does next, and I'd like to see where Street Fighter goes next without him helming the series

@AJDarkstar it's been awhile since I've played them, but weren't 3-4 online only? Seems like they'd have to charge us a whole load more for remasters of online only games.

I always wanted the split pad Pro but was indecisive thanks to the color scheme. This variant looks sweet as hell tho and I can't wait until its launched.

All I know is, I've been spoiled too much by the uniqueness & enjoyment I've had with the Switch that anything other than this gaming hybrid from Nintendo won't get as much love as this one gets.

Bloodstained series is as official a Castlevania game as it gets, without the official Branding. I mean it's Iga.
This game looks ok-ish but still better than all the other knock off "Metroidvanias"

It's obvious they are making a sequel and are trying to keep it under wraps. That end scene with Tails obviously set up the movie for a sequel and Robotnik looking like Eggman was also a teaser.

Digital content goes down, the hackers come up with a way for us to redownload all the titles that went the way of the dodo. Technically, once the system support is dead you are free to do what you want with the hardware, so hack it to your heart's content and put all of your paid games back using roms.

Because every other game on the Switch needs to be a friggin roguelike

Is it just me, or is the way this article is worded that makes it seem like having the ability to start or stop a game is revolutionary?

People have used specs similar to the Switch (emulating the specs on pc) and have found by lowering the graphics a bit, Re7 and Re2 remake were more than playable, so it's not a matter of Capcom not being able to port them, it's just them being lazy.

It's literally the fastest way to Switch Sales in the millions to port RE7, Re2Make and Re3Make

Now if they could port the XIII Trilogy over to the Switch...

@Zeldafan79 Bro, I didn't even own a WiiU but Iown this game on disc (as a collector for some reason I can't Explain) and never once knew that there were different control options.
I only knew from what the internet complained about.
Still, would it kill Sakurai to release the game on the Switch?
