@PlywoodStick Skyrim, Mario + Rabbids, FIFA, Rocket League & Sonic are the main 3rd parties Nintendo were pushing, other than that 3rd parties were pushing the Switch themselves - even the Microsoft E3 presser showed the Switch. Only Sony didn't have anything for Nintendo.
They would need to do a special Switch only CoD to allow it to become a sleeper hit. Companies that do yearly iterations are going to struggle to sell them well on the Switch, as very quickly the new one is the old one and out of date. Seeing as all of CoD story modes are utter garbage (and some of their games multiplayer are also rubbish), they should make a full online multiplayer CoD for the Switch, and support it over 5 years.
@danielman9 Even then many will decide to hold off (especially ARMS which is quite different to all other fighting games and therefore less instantly appealing) and wait for a possible Smash next year.
@danielman9 ARMS sounds and looks weird but as soon as people play it most quickly find it fun. Its yet another case of Nintendo giving us what we didn't realise we always wanted.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE Meh, South Park is over a decade past its prime and none of its games have been that good. The best bit from the last game was the censored Australian version where they made a funny screen explaining the buts that were removed. South Park seems to want to follow Family Guy in getting rid of anything clever. And Assassin's Creed was stale after the first 2 games, which is why the series sold poorly on Wii U as it was already way past its prime. Time to have new things that are fresh instead.
@RazorThin Actually what that will bring is professionals who make professional quality material that will be cheap DLC. Instead of the best ones being worked on a few hours a day, people can work full time on it. Only these top mods will end up costing money, and people will ignore mods that cost more than they should, resulting in them quickly coming down in price.
While the single player of 1 was short, it was awesome. And really, it wasn't that short when you consider how many modern shooters have not many more levels, but with bland game play ad no epic bosses. The final boss in Splatoon alone makes the entire frst game worth buying.
@Menchi187 Yeah, it's the same rumour I heard of no silly gimmicks or wasted time and resources to do things everyone already has 20 of, and just great games on a great game system. Would you rather games and game system be of less import?
@CTMike I only lost twice as Mechanica, I randomly picked her and was having too much fun to bother trying anyone else. I also only played in handheld mode, using the triggers to punch.
I was so tempted to vote Mr Resetti with his anger and pickaxe, but I just couldn't go past Tails, one of the greatest video game characters of all time that isn't yet in Smash.
@MarcelRguez For me it's Byte & Bark > Helix > Min Min There are a lot of good and diverse designs, and I can't wait to try all of them and all the modes.
@ThanosReXXX For some it's elitism and for others they just genuinely aren't sure. On reveal I thought it looked rubbish, but when Nintendo Minute were playing it I was hooked. And jabbed. This is one that people will need to play to understand.
I have a pair of Sennheiser DJ headphones that I picked up cheap on clearance. They have a very long cable and sound amazing, making it handy to use with the Switch. You can also pick up a cable that has a stereo jack one end and dual RCA the other to allow you to connect a Switch to any stereo or audio system that can have its own nice speakers, closer headphone jack or even Bluetooth.
@PantherB That's why they arent finishing the review until multiplayer is released, because it could be rubbish or always empty. But I have to get this later if I do pick it up, kids want Minecraft first.
@mattmayatt Myself and my son got one at launch and my daughter wants one for Christmas and if all keep getting hectic use my other son will also want his own.
@MrGawain Great insight, showing that the Switch can bring the best of both worlds - more households wanting to buy a home console and more people per household wanting their own personal console they can take with them.
@rushiosan The DLC comes in three parts, the initial pack on release, this pack and the main pack later in the year, which seemed to be 10 times bigger than this.
@RatKing64 It's sad that so many people have giant egos and think they are the arbiter of good taste. For me, Mario Kart 8 is a better game than OOT and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is better than OOT3D. But I hate that style of 3D platforming and fetch quest that doesn't feel natural (which is why Breath of the Wild blew me away and isone of the greatest games I have played) but that doesn't mean Ocarina of Time isn't the best game ever made.
@Tsusasi The Amiibo initially was a Wii U accessory. A huge amount of people who never owned a Wii U were buying Amiibo. Amiibo, NES Minis and Pokemon Go all had 100s or 1000s times more demand than anyone's most optimistic estimation, and they couldn't magically increase their stock enough to satisfy demand. And now Nintendo wisely need to focus on making enough Switches because obviously that's their most important pillar.
Why are certain people upset that Nintendo aren't producing enough Switches while also not producing enough NES Minis? Nintendo has limited resources and manufacturing isn't magic. I thought Amiibo manufacturing showed that.
@Dr_Corndog Did you play the ones that have already come out? Just because a platform has tonnes of shovel ware doesn't mean everything on it is automatically terrible.
@TheLobster Imagine if I reviewed something and deducted points for the most bizarre reasons and things that don't actually exist. I would cop flak for it.
Reviews aren't meant to just be what you like, but rather what you think is well made desire your own tastes. And docking points because not everyone has good enough WiFi hotspot on their phone is daft.
Imagine if they gave Zelda an 8 because they had issues with their controller, or deducted more points because their console crashed.

Re: Video: Warm Up for ARMS With This Nintendo Hands On Showcase
@SLIGEACH_EIRE This duo was surprisingly good for not being Treehouse.
Re: Video: Warm Up for ARMS With This Nintendo Hands On Showcase
It needs Inspector Gadget DLC.

Re: Sledgehammer Boss Pours Cold Water Over Call Of Duty: WWII For Switch Rumours
@locky-mavo Splatoon 2 is the best online shooter since Splatoon 1. And Splatoon 1 is the best since TF2.

Re: Random: Xbox Wishes Nintendo Well for E3 2017, "Hope you all SMASH it"
@ericflapjack Yeah. I think Playstation was the only console E3 presser to not show the Switch in some form.
Re: Ubisoft Confirms New IP, Starlink: Battle for Atlas, on Nintendo Switch
@Roam85 40K would kill the toys to life market once and for all, costing people $1000 just to build just one army.

Re: Nintendo Reveals Some Stats for the ARMS Global Testpunch
@CTMike Mechanica is very slow though, and ARMS is a game where you can lose from being outmaneuvered.
Re: Nintendo Reveals More Details About its Paid Online Service
A quick search says that's AU $26.91 a year. We already have 3 Switches in my house, and by X-mas will have 4. We can afford that.
Re: Nintendo Reveals More Details About its Paid Online Service
@Cartune look at your WiFi set up.

Re: E3 is Coming, Which Means Anonymous Super Smash Bros. Switch 'Screenshots'
A real leak would be similar to the real leak of the Mario Rabbits game.

Re: Retrospective: The Awkward Birth of the DS, Nintendo's Most Successful System
@RadoGoji the touch screen is no more a gimmick than super fancy graphics, VR, 4k or anything that isn't great games.

Re: Feature: The Big ARMS Direct Summary and the Key Question - Did It Win You Over?
@chiptoon It has a main single player mode, the Grand Prix which should be pretty good.

Re: Tantalus Spent "Several Months" Convincing Nintendo It Could Handle Zelda: Twilight Princess HD
@G-Boy Most popular US versions of anime aim it at 10 year olds so obviously changes are needed for this new vision.
Re: Rumour: The Pokémon Company is Planning a 'New Card-Game' App
could just be a new update or new version of the CCG app.

Disappointed to see it lacking AI. I had plenty of fun with NBA Jam and NBA Street series, it will be better to wait for another one of those.

Launching in March I think will be the new plan for everyone, so a console has a big launch month and a big first holiday month.
Re: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Takes Top Spot to Give Nintendo a First UK Number 1 Since 2011
Switch version of Wii U games will provide Nintendo funds to make new games and make more Switch consoles.

@G-Boy If you have material aimed at 16 year old and turn it into a product for 10 year olds, some changes need to be made.

@Dr_Corndog Did you play the ones that have already come out? Just because a platform has tonnes of shovel ware doesn't mean everything on it is automatically terrible.
Re: Nintendo To Publish "Two To Three" Smartphone Titles Per Year
Super Mario Run will be an evergreen money spinner, going strong in 6 years while Fire Emblem Heroes will be making little in 6 months.
Re: Nintendo Veteran Genyo Takeda Is Retiring As A Company Director
Reading the statement he clearly is only leaving his role and not leaving the company or retiring.
Re: Tantalus Spent "Several Months" Convincing Nintendo It Could Handle Zelda: Twilight Princess HD
@G-Boy Because everyone who has a different taste to you must be a "soccer mom"...
It's called mainstream for a reason.

@8itmap_k1d Which means all you need is a phone with its own Internet. We will play this tomorrow on a long drive.with a WiFi hotspot.
