@SH007ME That's an amazing idea. Have a SNES cartridge vinyl sticker on the back of the Switch and put it in the dock which looks like a SNES, with the back of the Switch facing forwards so the cartridge sticker faces the front.
@uoi100 Online for Wii was very good, very smooth even when my net ran slow in Mario Kart Wii online. With far better Internet with Nintendo's own Wii U online services, I struggled to play MK8 online, and often had issues with Splatoon 2. Without proper third party hosted servers, it's horrible, and the fee is because they are paying DeNA a lot of money to run the online system.
@Fooligan There's more exclusive content for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on Switch compared to BotW, and that didn't stop almost everybody getting the Switch version.
@Simbabbad "This is approaching spiritual talk, but we had the sense that he was watching over our work. That became a source of motivation, a drive for us to improve and be better."
@retro_player_22 Their name is taken from Mario Kart, the karts they hire out are beset on Mario Kart and when you add the fact that they are also charging customers to hire out Nintendo costumes (unlicensed) there is no defense.
Why can't people make money from. their own ideas instead of leeching off Nintendo? Or if it's a great licensing idea then actually license it from Nintendo.
@ULTRA-64 Over playing mediocre news as bad news is lazy clickbait. Does anyone really care that the Switch doesn't join their very long list of Internet browsing and entertainment app devices?
No browser or entertainment apps and single dead pixel - are you kidding me? Utterly ridiculous. 99.99% of people would rather use he phone I'm their pocket to look up online something about a game than switching their console away from their game and to the browser. I have over a dozen Netfix devices already, and dont need yet another one. Also Nintendo are right to say that a single dead pixel that can't be noticed by the naked eye is not a defect.
@KageMaru Could be that people are saying that by using a magnifying glass they can see a dead pixel and Nintendo are responding by saying they'll only fix it if there's enough that it's a problem to the naked eye.
@Yasume unless you want the game on a portable machine that looks better than the Wii u version and even better when docked. And then the ability to switch to Fast RMX, Snipperclips, Bomberman, Metal Slug 3, 1 2 Switch etc for multiplayer fun.
@OptometristLime It's got far less multilayer content than their budget titles. I was expecting 4 times the content for 4 times the cost. We got 1/4 in the end, very little choice, very little options.
@NintySnesMan If you are reading Kotaku click bait articles about the Switch they have made hilariously wrong claims. For starters, everybody with a brain buys a screen protector for a device with a screen. A small handful of people had joy con issues before launch, and zero after day 1 Switch update. While the kickstand isn't made of carbon fibre, it can't break because it is designed to detach under pressure so it can't break. A PS4 and Xbox One are also not powerful enough compared to PC, buy the Switch does what nothing else can - deliver home console games on the go. Also I don't recall PS4 or Xbox One having a AAA third party title on launch either, and a max 5 or 6 games in all, not the dozen+ with the Switch.
@Yasume I felt it's not as fun as old Bomberman. Multiplayer is very bare bones with few options and basically no custom game options. I'll stick with the vastly more fun Wii version that was a fraction of the price. And the "story" mode just has a bunch of random levels that unlock cutscenes with weird voice acting. The game is so lite on features compared to every other release that it's not even worth 1/4 of the price, especially when the Wii game can be played on Wii U and I think the 360 Bomberman Live games are BC with Xbox One.
@Fandabidozi Maybe 2 hours ahead of Perth, but I think 2 hours behind the eastern seaboard of Melbourne and Sydney due to DST (Brisbane doesn't believe in modern things like daylight savings) In Central Australia DST I only have now 1 hour left!!! In the (modern) eastern states only half an hour.
@Yasume What are Nintendo supposed to do? They have adverts to sell the Switch, which are far more effective than a list of specs, which only 0.000001% will buy or not based on.
@Yasume Basically the only systems that do have 10 or more good exclusives. Personally I think it won't be long before the Switch is in the same boat, with Snipperclips and Super Bomberman R on launch alone. If you haven't played Skyrim I'd recommend that on Switch and Xenoblade 2 if you like a good RPG. Some like I Am Setsuna, which I don't think is on Vita (but I could be wrong - Sony doesn't even know what is on Vita). As you said, it's best to wait, especially for a good sale later on.
I've had a preorder for a very long time, at least a year ago when my local EB had an entry for the 'NX'. My 7 year old son also has a preorder, he has been immensely excited since the October teaser.
@Megas Can you get someone to pick it up for you? That way yu can still get it straight away and also be nice and rested and relaxed when you plug it in and start playing.
@HeroponRiki From what he wrote, dying is game over, no respawn at all, you just load up your last save and continue from there with whatever health you had when you saved.
@Yorumi It's going to be a struggle for me to be able to afford all the launch titles let alone any other release by the end of the year... There are so many games and a huge amount of them I want to buy. I am going to seriously have to pick and choose.
@Yasume I assume you have difficulties counting to 14,as that's how many launch titles the Switch has in the West (much more in Japan) and that's about the PS4 and Xbox One combined. And all pre-orders are almost all sold out around the world. And less teething problems than the Xbox One or Xbox 360. Yeah, doomed.

Re: You Can Now Download The Splatoon 2 Global Testfire On Your Switch, But There's A Catch
@Yorumi Do you want free online or do you want good online? Nintendo are a business that charges for products and services, not a charity.

@Fooligan There's more exclusive content for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on Switch compared to BotW, and that didn't stop almost everybody getting the Switch version.
Re: Nintendo Has Reportedly Sold 1.5 Million Switch Consoles Worldwide
@ThatNyteDaez 80,000 in Australia was announced for the opening weekend from memory - double that from the Wii U
Re: Here's Why Nintendo Switch Games Cost More Than Those For Other Consoles
@Yasume Or you'd have to want the option of portability, which many do. It's very hard to lug my PS4 around.
Re: Here's Why Nintendo Switch Games Cost More Than Those For Other Consoles
Super Bomberman R is AU $65 on the eShop but $75 to $90 physically (the same price as Zelda)
Re: Super Bomberman R's Japanese Sales Are The Best The Series Has Seen Since 1998
If only it wasnt a cut down lite version of the Wii and 360 games with a weak tacked on "story" mode.
Re: Review: New Frontier Days: Founding Pioneers (Switch eShop)
Am I the only one who thinks this looks so ugly?
Re: Breath of the Wild's Art Director on Why Link's Classic Hat is Missing
I think Link looks far better without it but it's good that those who love it can still get it.

A benefit of region free is that low selling regions can have their stock shifted to high selling regions, like what they did regarding Amiibo.

13? I am so not worthy.
Re: There's an Option in FAST RMX that Makes the Whole Game Sharper
I can't afford it yet so I don't know but it's great that they made them options rather than forced everybody to have each one a certain way.
Re: Nintendo Switch With Dead Pixels? It's Not A Defect, Claims Nintendo
@Lizuka everybody could have one or two and just not be able to see them, hence not a defect.

And people say the Switch launch line up is thin.
