Honestly, I think this Smash should be his last. The longer he makes Smash games, the longer he's confined to only making Smash games for the rest of his life. I'm sure there are at least a small handful of people he's worked with that can fill his shoes.
My only letdown is that we only have 4 new stages (excluding the new versions of Battlefield and Final Destination). I'm not asking for the game to have over 100 stages and have 50+ be new, but I would have liked at least a dozen or so new stages. Now with new echoes confirmed and K Rool (and Simon) I'm not feeling too disappointed anymore with not as many new fighters.
I got a 128 GB PNY microSD card last fall, and haven't had to use much of it yet because I buy games physically. It will get more use once I get more DLC and digital games. I think anything more than 256 GB is really excessive unless you are getting at least one full retail game digitally almost every month.
I'd like this. I got the game for Christmas, and I'm still only about halfway through it with around 50 hours played. It's a long game, so if I could make it go a little faster that might be good.
I want it quite a bit, but yeah the full price tag is pretty steep. It's full price on Steam as well, but it's on sale multiple times of the year. Either I'll be patient and hope for a sale/price drop on Switch, or I'll be impatient and get it during the Steam Summer Sale.
I've been enjoying Zelda and Mario Kart. Hyped for Super Mario Odyssey and will probably pick up Pokken Tournament DX and Skyrim at some point. The Switch has many flaws, but it's had some high points so far for sure.
The PlayStation had its final North American game in 2004, and final European game in 2005. I guess the fact that the Wii U didn't do well and the Switch isn't backwards compatible is keeping the Wii alive.
@The_Dude_Abides Exactly. All the Wii U can support in physical media is Wii/Wii U games, and SD Cards. Nonphysical media isn't much better, as really only Hulu and Netflix are supported. Where is the DVD, Blu-ray and CD support? That's right, nowhere.
Considering the decline the series has been on for nearly a decade, I have very little hopes for this. Still, the new idea could be great or suck. If it is even a new idea, it could just as well be the darn group car again.
Thanks for nothing Nintendo. Make games like this if there is a market for it, but don't use the Paper Mario series for this type of gameplay. People thought Super Paper Mario was weak (it was excellent to me), but it's a dang masterpiece compared to Sticker Star.
There is no way this is real. Even if it is, we are still most likely getting two versions in North America. I guess we are just going to have to swallow our pride and pay $80.
I really wish there were local tourneys. I loved the brackets in Melee and Brawl, 'twas a blast to play them. I also wish the 1v1 matches were best of three. I waited nearly 30 minutes for a tourney and got defeated in one round. Sure I could get better at the game, but still.
@sWiTcHeRoO I pretty much feel the same. Really the only matches you can post to YouTube are ones you manipulate to be under 3 minutes. Most great Smash matches are over three minutes. To me, the YouTube feature should have a 10 minute limit, and a highlight reel option. Why is the YouTube feature more basic in Smash than in Mario Kart?
A Chrom costume? Oh Sakurai you master troll! I am really mixed on the costume. Part of me wants to get it because I adore Fire Emblem: Awakening. On the other hand, I do not know. K. Rool as a Mii Fighter costume worries me a little, but it is not a guarantee that he won't get in.
Not again Nintendo. If this is true, the NX will be Nintendo's third underpowered home console in a row. The N64 and GameCube may have lacked in storage space, but they were pretty much the top of the line for console graphics in their day (Xbox was slightly better than the GCN).
Nintendo's practices and mindset are enraging me so much. Emulations of old titles require focus away from new ones? How about using some of your tens of billions of dollars to create a large VC department? Oh, "please understand".
I am torn on this. I only have one amiibo (Luigi - Super Smash Bros), and I think Nintendo's over reliance and hyping of them is disgusting. On the other hand, I am not really against options.
Iwata said the 3DS would have a successful launch that would avoid drought problems of the past. It didn't. It was one of the worst launches ever for a big console manufacturer. Iwata said that Nintendo learned a bitter lesson from the launch of the 3DS and the Wii U would have a much better startup. Well, the Wii U had a better game selection at launch, but failed tremendously after Holiday 2012.
Now Iwata says the NX will avoid the problems the 3DS and Wii U had during their launch period.
Are you all sensing a pattern here? This man overpromises and lies like crazy. Most of his words mean nothing to me at this point. He might as well be speaking Ancient Sumatran.
Wow this is great news! I think we will get 3-5 more characters and they will all be out by the end of next year at the absolute latest. My wishlist: King K. Rool, Chibi Robo, Paper Mario, Inkling, Wolf
Federation Force may indeed be a good game. However, it is a massive slap in the face to Metroid fans. Reggie seems to good for nothing but memes and poorly worded apologies. It is time for Reggie and Iwata to go, in addition to others. Miyamoto needs to be demoted or put in a different position because what he is doing is not working.
I must be the only person who preferred this over the last several E3 conferences. Star Fox, Fire Emblem, Zelda, Super Mario Maker all have me excited. The Direct was not very good, but it is better than last year, maybe better than 2013, and better than 2012.
I will be skipping this. I have the DS card so this is useless to me, especially with the lack of multiplayer. If they worked hard enough, they could have implemented multiplayer somehow.
On another note, this means that the only Mario Kart games not playable on Wii U are Mario Kart: Double Dash!! (not excusable, add GCN games already) and Mario Kart 7 (extremely understandable).
I disagree with the review score. I honestly find this the second easiest Animal Crossing game to come back to (don't have much of a motive to play Wild World anymore and my City Folk disc does not work) because of a lot of its unique features and charm. New Leaf is my favorite and most-played Animal Crossing game but I still love this one a lot.
Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U definitely helped sales, but the Wii U is probably going to be another GameCube (sales-wise). The Wii U will probably sell 5 million worldwide in 2015 and have a lifetime sales figure of 20-25 million units.
Nintendo handhelds have always been quite special to me. After my family got a Gamecube for Christmas 2003, I got a Game Boy Advance a few days later. It may have run on batteries and had a dim screen, but I loved it. For Christmas 2008, I got a used Game Boy Advance SP and fell in love with that little guy too. I got a DSi for Christmas 2009 and quickly made use of it. No longer would I have to borrow my younger brother's DS Lite. Then in 2011, I got the 3DS the day it launched. I have put well over a thousand hours into the system (I think it is around 1700 hours). Unfortunately, I wasn't smart with the protective case I bought, so the system has scuffs that will likely be there forever. I love my 3DS, and will keep it as long as it is in one piece.
I just got this adapter today and it seems to be working perfectly. I have not noticed any input lag. By the way, the Kelux logo is not on the adapter.
I just ordered this. Hopefully it's not garbage. I agree that $34.99 is pretty steep for something that only works on one game. Still, I could not help myself.
I'm not that hyped for any of these games, to be honest. Yoshi's Wooly World looks really cool and Mario Party 10 should be fun. However, these are not Mario Kart or Super Smash Bros. Maybe I will give Splatoon a chance, but at the moment, it does not catch my interest.
My wishlist Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn - This game is so expensive on eBay, it is ridiculous. I never have played this one, but I want to. WarioWare: Smooth Moves - I would love to play this game. Mario Party 9 - I never owned this game but it is fun and I would snag it up in a heartbeat for $10. Super Smash Bros. Brawl - I would like to be able to play it on the Wii U using the Gamepad.

Re: Rumour: YouTube Could Be Arriving As Soon As Next Week On Nintendo Switch
Pass the salt.
But I hope it's true. Watching YouTube on the Wii U GamePad and on TV with the Wii U was pretty cool.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 20th)
Dark Souls Remastered. It's already kicking my butt.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 6th)
Super Mario Party and some more Stardew Valley. Finishing up the Spring of Year 3.
Re: Masahiro Sakurai Will Continue To Make Smash Bros. Games "If The Demand Is There"

Just played Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Stardew Valley today. Might play some more Stardew Valley tomorrow.
Re: No Joke, South Park: The Stick Of Truth Is Heading To The Switch eShop This Year
It better be $20 or under. I'm probably not going to get it because I already bought and played it on Windows in 2015.

Re: A Cheaper, Customisable 'Nintendo Switch 2nd Set' Has Launched In Japan Without A Dock
I would've expected more of a discount. A fair price for a dockless Switch would be $200-$225.
Re: Shuntaro Furukawa Is Nintendo's New President
I wish him luck. He could be a better president than Mr. Iwata or Mr. Kimishima for all we know. The fact that he grew up on the Famicom is promising.

Re: Poll: What Did You Think of Nintendo's E3 2016?
Zelda and Mario Party are the only things that interested me. This E3 was better than last year's I think, but that doesn't make it good.
Re: Fans Petition Nintendo To Name Zelda NPC After Deceased Singer Christina Grimmie
It did not work with Robin Williams, but considering Christina was actually going to be at the Nintendo event the situation is a little different.
Re: Paper Mario: Color Splash Dated for 7th October
Hope the coverage makes the game look good. Nintendo could surprise us and reveal some great things about the game, but I doubt it.

I actually agreed with most of what Pachter said. However, turning the company's IPs into a bunch of merchandise may not be the best idea.
Re: Nintendo President Satoru Iwata Passes Away Aged 55
Iwata had a hand in so many great games. It's truly sad to see a good man pass away so soon.
