Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct?

LuigiTheGreenFire

My only letdown is that we only have 4 new stages (excluding the new versions of Battlefield and Final Destination). I'm not asking for the game to have over 100 stages and have 50+ be new, but I would have liked at least a dozen or so new stages. Now with new echoes confirmed and K Rool (and Simon) I'm not feeling too disappointed anymore with not as many new fighters.

Re: Guide: The Best Nintendo Switch Micro SD Cards

LuigiTheGreenFire

I got a 128 GB PNY microSD card last fall, and haven't had to use much of it yet because I buy games physically. It will get more use once I get more DLC and digital games. I think anything more than 256 GB is really excessive unless you are getting at least one full retail game digitally almost every month.

Re: Paper Mario Colour Splash Coming to Wii U

LuigiTheGreenFire

Thanks for nothing Nintendo. Make games like this if there is a market for it, but don't use the Paper Mario series for this type of gameplay. People thought Super Paper Mario was weak (it was excellent to me), but it's a dang masterpiece compared to Sticker Star.

Re: Super Smash Bros. Version 1.1.0 Update is Now Live

LuigiTheGreenFire

@sWiTcHeRoO I pretty much feel the same. Really the only matches you can post to YouTube are ones you manipulate to be under 3 minutes. Most great Smash matches are over three minutes. To me, the YouTube feature should have a 10 minute limit, and a highlight reel option. Why is the YouTube feature more basic in Smash than in Mario Kart?

Re: Nintendo NX Will Avoid The Launch Issues Which Plagued 3DS And Wii U, Claims Iwata

LuigiTheGreenFire

Iwata said the 3DS would have a successful launch that would avoid drought problems of the past. It didn't. It was one of the worst launches ever for a big console manufacturer. Iwata said that Nintendo learned a bitter lesson from the launch of the 3DS and the Wii U would have a much better startup. Well, the Wii U had a better game selection at launch, but failed tremendously after Holiday 2012.
Now Iwata says the NX will avoid the problems the 3DS and Wii U had during their launch period.
Are you all sensing a pattern here? This man overpromises and lies like crazy. Most of his words mean nothing to me at this point. He might as well be speaking Ancient Sumatran.

Re: Video: Mario Kart DS Skids Onto Wii U Virtual Console

LuigiTheGreenFire

I will be skipping this. I have the DS card so this is useless to me, especially with the lack of multiplayer. If they worked hard enough, they could have implemented multiplayer somehow.

On another note, this means that the only Mario Kart games not playable on Wii U are Mario Kart: Double Dash!! (not excusable, add GCN games already) and Mario Kart 7 (extremely understandable).

Re: Review: Animal Crossing (GameCube)

LuigiTheGreenFire

I disagree with the review score. I honestly find this the second easiest Animal Crossing game to come back to (don't have much of a motive to play Wild World anymore and my City Folk disc does not work) because of a lot of its unique features and charm. New Leaf is my favorite and most-played Animal Crossing game but I still love this one a lot.

Re: Soapbox: Portable Gaming Forges a Special Relationship With the Player, and Nintendo is the Master in the Field

LuigiTheGreenFire

Nintendo handhelds have always been quite special to me.
After my family got a Gamecube for Christmas 2003, I got a Game Boy Advance a few days later. It may have run on batteries and had a dim screen, but I loved it. For Christmas 2008, I got a used Game Boy Advance SP and fell in love with that little guy too.
I got a DSi for Christmas 2009 and quickly made use of it. No longer would I have to borrow my younger brother's DS Lite.
Then in 2011, I got the 3DS the day it launched. I have put well over a thousand hours into the system (I think it is around 1700 hours). Unfortunately, I wasn't smart with the protective case I bought, so the system has scuffs that will likely be there forever. I love my 3DS, and will keep it as long as it is in one piece.

Re: Feature: 20 Wii Games We'd Love To Download From The Wii U eShop - Part One

LuigiTheGreenFire

My wishlist
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn - This game is so expensive on eBay, it is ridiculous. I never have played this one, but I want to.
WarioWare: Smooth Moves - I would love to play this game.
Mario Party 9 - I never owned this game but it is fun and I would snag it up in a heartbeat for $10.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl - I would like to be able to play it on the Wii U using the Gamepad.
