Maybe they will give some time for people to play Skyward Sword and understand why going to the clouds and the castle rising up is SUCH A FREAKING BIG DEAL in the lore. Then the title will make a lot of sense.
@rushiosan True. Well it's not a fixed 60 fps, but it never dropped to 40 fps. Didn't pay much attention to texture scaling tough, but it seems to run fine
My "wildest hope" is something from Bayonetta 3! No BotW 2, no Metroid Prime 4, no Donkey Kong. I am not expecting much, just because I want to keep my hype low on purpose and be genuinely surprised if something comes out.
Ah oh boy if we do get an announcement from Monolith, that will be huge!!!
Love this game, and consider it one of the best, if not THE BEST, title to introduce kids to Zelda franchise. You've got everything the series is known about: two "universes", puzzles, items, side-quests, exploration, very nice soundtrack, cool characters... Man I wish I had my 3DS here to play it again!
The amiibo itself is really nice! I really like this design for Zelda, and how her relationship with Link is portrayed is one of the best.
@TheFullAndy completely agree with you. Such feature should not be behind a paywall. When it's something like extra random items, or a simple skin, I don't mind. But that's a whole QoL that they could make available.
Music in the trailer reminded me of Two Steps From Hell, and I do enjoy a tactical RPG! Less characters may also mean a not so long story... Interested!
@CorvoRevo You mean having the effects of real positioning (behind, beside etc) and height?
"[...] but Nintendo Life can confirm that it has heard the same rumour from an independent (and very trusted) source [...]"
I understand there is an interest in protecting the source, as such info may originate from someone who did not respect a NDA. But it feels just like "the uncle of my cousin's neighboor has this friend who heard in a pub by a guy who works in game development that a new game is coming out"
Of course that if a new DK game is indeed announced, that will be great news! But at this point, it's nothing more than a rumour
I loved Metroid Samus Returns and really enjoyed the first Lords of Shadow (did not have the opportunity to play the other entries)! So I think they are able to release a good game, be it a new IP or not
@Andy_Witmyer "Even when it would rain 2 or 3 times in a day (which was surprisingly / laughably often)" well, I present you the weather in Normandy, France xD
I really enjoyed Rune Factory 1 and 2 on the DS, but the "farm simulator" game I played the most was Harvest Moon Friends of Mineral Town in GBA. Different times back then, still a kid/teen in school, could spend the whole day chilling on the hammock with my portable system... Oh the memories! xD
I don't know if the now adult me will have the time available to enjoy this entry, but I'll keep an eye on it.
While I see this as a game that for me works better in digital, it is a stupid decision not to release a physical version in Europe. We should all get the chance to experience the game the way it suits ourselves better.
Physical and digital are DIFFERENT, but I don't see that one is superior over the other.
@Pikka Use it as a motivation for your kids to learn English. It was through games that I developed a lot my knowledge of this foreign language, and it is a really useful skill for life. Not only English itself, but training how to learn new languages.
I wasn't aware / had forgotten that Pokémon Legends Arceus is early 2022. I'll keep an eye on it.
For this year, I'm getting Great Attoney Chronicles and maybe Game Builder Garage. I'm not worried as I still haven't started Bravely Default II and MH Rise still offers tons and tons of hours
If I had children, I would definitely buy it for them! I might grab it for myself to play around a little bit, as I quite enjoy programming. I'll check how open the possibilities will be
In the electronics industry there is what we call "accelerated aging stress tests". Basically you get a sample of your product, but it in an environment with high temperature and humidity, to simulate in days the degradation of years. After that, you perform an enormous amount of write-read cycles and speed tests. JEDEC standards are used to regulate tests and results. If your client accepts the specifications of your product, well you sell it! If this problem is recurring in Nintendo cartridges, they might have to take a better look into their supplier.
The whole Physics of semiconductors is quite new compared to previous technologies, so indeed there is much advance to be done.
@SpaceboyScreams "even just a third" oh boy oh boy we are in for some big disapointments... Of course that if that list turns out to be real, I will be freaking happy
Considering RPG in the way we nowadays define a VIDEOGAME GENRE, I would say it is not. It may have elements that define a RPG, but at its core it is an Adventure game.
For another example, I consider Monster Hunter an Action game, while many others say it is a RPG.
@shaneoh I am genuinely curious as to why you think so! Could you clarify?
I had a great time playing Oracles games, but Minish Cap had more of the "Zelda magic" for me. Well but finishing the link game and beating the true boss is indeed incredible hahahahaha
The thing that got the most surprise out of me was Smash DLC. I recognized the clip was Xenoblade related the moment the clouds appeared, than I thought "no way Xenoblade 3?" than all the silly story about Pyra missing wasn't making any sense and I moved to "okay, a second Xenoblade 2 DLC?" and finally it blew my mind hahahahaha
Edit: I mean, I wasn't expecting Splatoon 3 AT ALL, but the presentation for Pyra in Smash played way more with my expectations
Two new games I'm looking forward to are Project Triangle Strategy aka Octopath Tactics and Splatoon 3. And I'm really glad that both come out only by 2022, truly! Starting next month, Monster Hunter Rise will occupy my free time a lot
I quite enjoyed the soundtrack of this trailer, and the "painting" effect after specials. Not sure if I'll be up to another musou, still haven't finished Age of Calamity, but I'll keep an eye
@HeadPirate Yeah you're right! I wonder how it will actually change, and if Pearl and Marina will be the actual "hosts" or if there will be a new duo. Also, makes me imagine how things would be if Order had won!
I'm really happy for it, but I'm not boarding the hype train.
New clips for Bravely Default II and Monters Hunter Rise. Maybe some update on No More Heroes 3.
This coming Sunday my favorite series, The Legend of Zelda, turns 35. I would love a collection of sorts and for sure some update on BotW sequel. But I'm guessing we will have some new content for Age of Calamity

That's awesome!
Vamo lá gurizada, dá-lhe!!
"a language spoken by the vast majority of people living in the country"
Well, I would say only indigenous people living far off from cities do not speak it. It is our only official spoken language.

Re: Nintendo's E3 Direct To Air 15th June
@anoyonmus Yes, my point exactly.
Re: Nintendo's E3 Direct To Air 15th June
Nice, at 18h in France! I have a conference on June 15th, but at that time I'll probably be already available!
And let's see if there is another announcement concerning a new hardware or not... I am not couting on it, but who knows?
@mariomaster96 I would love to get some BotW 2 info as well, but I think they won't show anything as Skyward Sword HD launch is approaching.
Re: Handy E3 2021 Infographic Shows All Confirmed Exhibitors And Sponsors
Nintendo as a "Pinnacle Sponsor" is indeed interesting. Let's see what they have for us!
Re: Switch Pro Rumours Intensify As New Retailer Listing Appears Online
@rjejr Yeah I also thought it was another retailer, and not Amazon Mexico again! The title of the article is misleading

Re: Dragon Quest X Is Being Transformed Into A "Cute" Offline Game
Has anyone here played DQ X? I know it's a Japan only game, but who knows, maybe some of you do live over there, or a VPN system can be used...
I was wondering if it's a good MMO, interested to check how it plays
Re: Square Enix Is Releasing A Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake For Home Consoles
I'm getting it, if it comes to the Switch. Had a blast with Octopath Traveler, still haven't played a Dragon Quest game (yes DQXIS is on my list!).
The song that played during the trailer, is it from DQIII OST?

Re: Splatoon 3: First Gameplay Mechanics, Weapons, And 'Splatlands' Lore Details Revealed
"Splatsville’s development has accelerated rapidly since the Final Splatfest a year and a half ago"
So yeah we would have a different region/city if Order had won, it seems!
Plus, I haven't been able to truly recognize what is the mainstream culture over Splatsville. More punk?

Looking forward to it!

Re: Nintendo Reveals Splatoon 3, Coming To Switch In 2022
@HeadPirate bro Splatoon soundtrack always had sick basslines! For real
Enough from pulling your leg, it was "stronger" in the trailer indeed. And City of Chaos because Chaos won the last Splatfest!

Reading the review, a 10/10 score seems incorrect. But definetly a must-buy for those who never played when the game originally released to Wii U.
Re: Haven Gets Gorgeous (And Raunchy) Launch Trailer
