@Notyu1459 I'm completely unaware of the market availability of HDMI cables and controllers. If Nintendo could get as much units of the 1.4 version and in the time frame they needed for the Switch OLED launch, then for sure there is a reason they opted for the 2.0 version. Also, I have no idea for how long manufacturers plan to keep offering HDMI 1.4.
I agree that this is quite possible future proofing, already working on the validation of such components for their hardware. I think they will offer 4K resolution in their next console, whenever it comes out. But as of now and until we get actual info, we can't really tell. Let's wait and see!

If they are patenting it, it feels like they intend to use their own method instead of NVIDIA's DLSS. So they won't be bound to NVIDIA chips. Nice to see Nintendo is another company working with machine learning, this has an ridiculous broad application range!

@ISoleilI That actually makes sense! With all the time travelling stuff, they might add alternative timelines and what not, so the Cereza we'll be playing in Bayo 3 won't be the actual same one as Bayo 1 and 2. Maybe the very first trailer showed her death!
