Re: Poll: How Much Do Early Access and Free Downloads Affect Your Purchasing Choices?

LordPieFace

I'm a bit ehhhh on Blast Ball. It's a good idea, and the fps controls are excellent, but it's got its problems:

-Major server problems, at least for me

>It's too hard to guage the impact you're making on the ball's direction

>The health of theplayers is too high so it's hard to kill them.

-When the ball speeds past you and closer to your goal it's really hard to catch up with the ball to turn the tide. Part of the problem is that opponents can shoot the ball into the goal and don't have to be anywhere near the thing. At least in regular football you the only thing propelling the ball into the net is a single person at a time.

Re: Two More Discounts Arrive on My Nintendo in Europe

LordPieFace

Thinking of Hana Samurai. Meant to be a pretty good game.

Otherwise, My Nintendo is a load of crap. You have to plough in money to get piffling discounts of games that you could have spent less on just straight-up buying instead of getting gold coins. The final days of Club Nintendo were better, which I never thought I would say.

Re: Review: 7th Dragon III Code: VFD (3DS)

LordPieFace

@CharlieSmile If you can stand to play games on other consoles in 2D, then why not this game? I will admit, I'm getting the Vita version over the 3DS version of ZTD because the 3DS version doesn't have 3D, but in this case it's the only version you can get. I find it hard to understand the mentality of boycotting a game over incremental things like whether or not the voices or dubbed, 3D, that kind of thing.

Re: Random: Miyamoto "Flattered" By Super Mario Tribute In Mickey Mouse Cartoon

LordPieFace

@locky-mavo In the case of the references you mentioned there, they don't use any assets from Nintendo games. You can't patent things like level design or a bunch of words like "It's-a-me, Mario". Because if that were the case Nintendo would be trying to get money from he Fulbright Company simply for using the name "Nintendo". Hence why Nintendo never sued the makers of Giana sisters. Nintendo does get at YouTubers that aren't partnered with them; they claim ad revenue on their videos as opposed tho a DMCA. In the case of the Mickey Mouse cartoon, they have taken sound clips from SMB, but Nintendo is treating them differently because they don't want to have one of the largest media companies on their butts.

Re: Feature: The Big Nintendo E3 2016 Summary

LordPieFace

Very pleased with Nintendo's E3. Makes you glad that they announced that their E3 would be smaller, eh? And it's great that we got some surprises out of it too! Not their best E3 but a step waaaaaay up over their 2015 one!
