Kirby Air Riders Pokèmon Legends ZA Sonic X Shadow Generations (PC) I might play some Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered (PC) followed by Sonic Racing Crossworlds. Oh and if I'm in the mood and have time I'll play some more Roboquest VR too (PCVR)
I was just about to play some online again and as luck would have it there's maintenance going on so I guess I'll play when I get home from work now this evening.
@Emacster Everyone on my friend list has abandoned Mario Kart World for this game or Kirby Air Riders. Just be honest Mario Kart World compared to 8 Deluxe is just a half baked failure regardless. If it has Mario on the box ofc it's going to sell, same with any big IP regardless of quality really.
Hope it brings the series back to its roots because Shadow of the Tomb Raider even though it wasn't a bad game by any stretch of the imagination compared to the 2 games that came before it I feel it was definitely lacking in that Idk that oomph I suppose.
I recently bought the Switch 2 version and it's superb. To me the empty boring Open World and straight line intermission races have completely ruined Mario Kart World for me. Crossworlds is basically everything I want from a game of this genre. My only nitpick though is the game has too many lock on weapons.
Why can't they just give them via an in game event or Mystery Gift? I lost interest in Competitive Pokèmon years ago and I don't like the way I feel forced to play Ranked to get the stones when I'm just not interested in it. Epic failure in my book.
I'm happy playing the Oblivion Remaster tbh. Skyrim was great when it came out but because it's been re-released so many times I'm just tired of seeing it now.
Ubisoft Support are an embarassment. They should just say "sorry we haven't got a clue" instead of gaslighting people. I myself one time had an issue with a Ubisoft game crashing on PS5 and they said the exact same thing "it's an issue with the Console" the game in question was Assassin's Creed Valhalla which has since been patched and the game runs fine now but still. Idk why these people are employed because they're not helpful, at all.
Still a straight line overall with some minor obstacles thrown in but it's better than nothing I suppose. Regardless I'm glued to Kirby Air Riders right now. I will go back to Mario Kart World, just not yet. If only they would add an option for 3 lap though sigh
Metroid Prime 4 which is fantastic btw sone Kirby Air Riders Ranked online Sonic X Shadow Generations (PC) Pokèmon Legends ZA and finally Ninja Gaiden 4. I'll try and continue on with my Digimon Story Time Stranger Playthrough too if I can find the time.
@Truegamer79 Dude everything you just said there isn't true at all. I'm not happy about this either, I don't think anybody is but there's no need to be talking nonsense.
I played online all night last night after playing some Metroid Prime 4. Kirby Air Riders is easily my favourite racer out of the 3 (Mario Kart World Sonic Racing Crossworlds and ofc Kirby Air Riders)
@Mana_Knight There was for the DS yes. It's surprisingly pretty good too. The tables are designed around certain environments from Metroid Prime and it's surprising just how enjoyable playing Pinball can be when you have the OST and sound effects from Metroid Prime playing in the background.
@Monik3r I thought Hunters looked superb on the DS at the time and I still think it holds up rather well today given the underpowered hardware it's running on.
I don't take Metacritic seriously most of the time. This being said Federation Force was one of the worst 3DS games I have ever played. It was just a boring FPS using the Metroid Prime name and nothing else so it definitely deserves to be at the bottom.
@Scapetti Are you even playing the same game as everybody else? not well made? it's one of the best racers in years. In Mario Kart World you're just driving in a straight line most of the time it's so boring. I'm sorry but your analogy is just utterly bizarre to put it mildly.
@KayFiOS It's a 2025 Samsung. I only bought it at the beginning of this year. It was fairly expensive (almost 2K) but it was worth it. Before I was using a Samsung QLED which was fine but the colours just lacked that Idk that oomph I suppose.
Was tempted to give this a shot but the extra expense of the HDMI cable just puts me right off. I'll just stick to my 65" 4K OLED 120hz TV. Regardless thanks for the Review.
This still doesn't feel real to me, I just can't believe 8 years have just passed us by. At one point I was convinced we were never going to get Prime 4 and I'm so glad that wasn't the case. I'll be playing as soon as I get off work which is just a little over an hour from now.
This is definitely an oversight. In previous games you could always just load your save before the final boss to pick up anything you might have missed. Hopefully this will be fixed ASAP.
Interesting. After a quick Google any game that is dual release does indeed work on Switch 1 and 2 whether it's digital or physical. I guess I learnt something today. I still find it a bit odd though but convenient.
@squiddu-real Yeah I'm very unlucky for sure. I just want to play the more fun 3 lap races whenever I want to and Nintendo won't let me. It's really frustrating.
So still no option to play 3 lap races? then I'm still not interested. They claim the frequency of 3 lap races appearing online was increased yet every single time I played which was quite a lot I kept getting intermission. I'm sorry but intermission races are just coma inducing to me.
Just add an option to play 3 lap races online and everything is golden.
@GamingFan4Lyf Mine too. It's sort of annoying the way you get so much positivity surrounding a game then you get the usual critics put a damper on things. A shame the individual responding to me in a rather rude and ignorant manner failed to understand what I was saying.
Don't give a carrot what these boring critics say. I'll play the game and decide for myself. Bear in mind this is coming from a guy that actually enjoyed Metroid Other M which had lots of open areas. Open World areas never bothered me so I see criticism like that as completely irrelevant to my own personal tastes. Sometimes I do have to wonder how some of these critics got jobs at all, especially those at Eurogamer and Gamespot.
@WaveBoy I'm playing the PCVR version on Steam atm using my Valve Index. I'm satisfied with it but performance could do with a bit of fine tuning though. I'm actually planning on buying the PSVR2 version in the week and the Quest 3 version too when it comes out to compare the 3 versions and because I really do enjoy Roboquest as well.
@SoIDecidedTo Metroid Dread I really struggled with when it came out but I did manage to beat it in the end. Still though I'm glad they added an easier difficulty to it should I feel like playing it again. As a man in his late 40s finding the time to play can be difficult.
I remember tackling hard mode in the first Metroid Prime and I really struggled with the Omega Pirate boss along with Meta Ridley. The amount of punishment they could both take compared to normal mode was really substantial, or at least that's how I remember it. Looking forward to tackling hard mode here too.
Nah not interested. I do enjoy Super Mario Galaxy though and I did buy the official guide for it but this is likely something that would sit on my shelf for a long time and do nothing.
Played this online again last night and apart from me sucking at the game so far and spending most races crashing into walls like a ping pong ball the experience overall was very smooth.
Thanks for this. I've been trying to experiment myself by playing through the game to see if I would unlock anything and so far nothing. Sakurai always did make the unlock criteria in his games a bit mysterious, I found unlocking stuff with Super Smash Bros Melee back in the day in particular an enormous chore. Fortunately unlocking stuff isn't too bad now compared to before.
