Super Mario 64 and Sunshine are my least favourite Mario games now. When they came out I was glued to them but going back to them now I find them quite a chore to play.
I've been playing Mario games since the very first one and I never would have believed he would have lasted as long as he did yet here we are. I have no doubt he'll be here 38 years from now.
I played the previous 2 games to death and by the time I was finished with them I was just burnt out. It's for this reason I won't be buying this game right away as I'm simply not in the mood for another one just yet.
@Dang_69 It was amusing for sure but I just wish they changed it up more. Perhaps if they added some spikes to its body to make it look more menacing rather than goofy looking I would have taken it more seriously.
Too bad the U.K blocks the iPlayer here in Ireland. I know I can use a VPN, in fact I already use one but I just find it petty the way they block us from using that yet we let the U.K use the RTE Player when that's payed for via a stupid licence fee as well.
While I think the hate was being blown out of proportion I still think a lot of the new Megas were just disappointing I'll just say. With Mega Starmie it's almost as if someone opened Microsoft Paint and said hey lads how about we just stretch it out at the bottom so it has legs?
Apart from this I am enjoying the new Battle system. I hope they build on this for gen 10 or whatever the next games are going to be.
Given the amount of noise surrounding the game I'm not in the least bit surprised. I admittedly got dragged along by the hate train but having played a considerable amount of the game since then I do think people are blowing everything out of proportion. Constructive criticism is always welcome but when you start insulting people for enjoying something that's never alright.
I'm surprised you put X and Y higher than Sun and Moon. The biggest complaint with those games is that they were so easy. I know during my Playthroughs of them I barely got to hear the Gym Leader theme because I always had them defeated within seconds, literally.
Ninja Gaiden 4 Slime Rancher 2 Kirby and the Forgotten Land Star Crossed World Kirby Air Rider on Gamecube while I wait For Riders on Switch 2. I'll also be continuing on with Digimon Story Time Stranger and I think I'm beginning to change how I feel towards Legends ZA, after playing more of it last night I'm beginning to think a lot of the criticism is coming from people who have yet to play it or have no intention of playing it. Now I certainly don't think it's GOTY and it certainly could be better in some aspects but as far as the new Battle system is concerned I'm actually really liking it. I'll continue playing that too when I have the time.
It goes to show just how contagious internet hate band wagons really are. I never hate on anything yet the discourse for Legends ZA was/is so extreme that it was even starting to rub off on me.
I've been busy with work and knew nothing of this. What a crazy timeline we live in. I never would have believed Halo would ever make its way to PlayStation and as a person who grew up with it since the beginning this really pleases me as newer generations will be able to experience these iconic games for themselves.
While I do prefer Legends Arceus by a mile I do intend to play this game until the end. I think if they added some greenery like Forest and Fields outside the city to explore my gripe with this game would be considerably less. As a person in his late 40s who's been playing Pokèmon since day one I'm just not used to being stuck in the same environments for the entirety of the game. I always look forward to exploring new areas in a Pokèmon game and that seems to be really lacking here.
I always remember Eevee being a pain in the neck to catch early game in Legends Arceus. If it spotted you you really had to act fast and if you fluffed it getting them to spawn in again was also a pain. Finding Alpha Eevee was even harder.
I played these games on Steam Deck and Rog Ally X and they were simply fantastic games to play on the go. I'm delighted Switch 2 owners can now experience these games on the go as well.
I think I must be in the minority when I say I'm not really that excited for this. I loved the first one, played it to death. Finished the second one even though the performance wasn't always top notch. Truth be told I don't think I'm ready for another one just yet.
I'm ok with this but if I recall wasn't the same said for one of the Smash Bros games? I can't remember which one but it was either Smash on the Wii U or Smash Ultimate for Switch.
Yeah not surprised. While I'm not very pleased with the game myself I knew it was going to sell. I mean it's Pokémon it's one of if not the biggest franchise in the World.
Looking at this discussion the discourse is as clear as day. I think people should just accept that regardless of opinion on the game we can at least agree that it's one of the most divisive games in years.

Re: PSA: You Might Need To Free Up Some Space For Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment
I have plenty of space for this game whenever I decide to buy it. I'm more interested in Kirby than I am in this tbh.

I'm still hoping for Yo Kai Watch 4 though I know that's unlikely at this point.

Re: EA Staff Are Reportedly Less Than Happy With Their Much-Hyped AI "Helpers"
@SillyG Not in the slightest. They don't care about Consumers so why would they care about their work force?
Re: EA Staff Are Reportedly Less Than Happy With Their Much-Hyped AI "Helpers"
I'll always prefer something to be made by real people rather than a soulless automaton.
Re: Team Zombie Gobbles Up A Win In Splatoon 3's Splatoween Splatfest
@Yobreeze I don't see the relevance of that here.
Re: Team Zombie Gobbles Up A Win In Splatoon 3's Splatoween Splatfest
HA for once I was on the winning side. No doubt luck won't be on my side next time though.
Re: UK Charts: Pokémon Legends: Z-A Is The Smallest Retail Launch Since 'Let's Go!' In Europe
@Dylansuxx Mhmm fair point. Just godda learn to ignore all of that and decide for yourself rather than let others decide for you.

Yeah I'll just stick to the original I think. The Steam Reviews speak for themselves.

@ShadLink The original Kirby Air Ride for Gamecube had me glued. This game looks far better.

I have this game purchased/pre-ordered from Smyths Toys.

@AverageGamer It's alright.
Re: Pokémon Legends: Z-A Sold 5.8 Million Copies Globally In Its First Week
@PixelSwitch I certainly have seen plenty of arguing going on but I can't say that I've come across adults swearing at one another.
Re: Pokémon Legends: Z-A Sold 5.8 Million Copies Globally In Its First Week
@AverageGamer Joe Merrick is the man that runs and owns Serebii. I'm surprised you don't know him as he's literally an online Pokémon encyclopedia.
Re: Ball X Pit Will Breakout On Switch 2 Next Week, Free Upgrade For Switch 1 Owners
I saw this game on Steam and was interested immediately but seeing as there's a Switch 2 version coming I think I'll get it for that.
