Video: Fire Emblem Echoes' Alm And Celica amiibo Get Liberated From Their Packaging

So these are the FE amiibos that unlock the dungeons?

These human-looking figurines (not just amiibos but other ones too) always have that uncanny valley factor for me. I'm still having the occassional nightmare of that Agnes figurine that came with Bravely Default's Collector's Edition.

But for Amiibos, at the very least these newer lines look way better than those from the early SSB4 waves.

Anyway, I've already preordered the Limited Edition of Echoes that comes with the amiibos.

I'm going to try to get these at my local best buy. Forgot to preorder them.

A year ago, if you told me Nintendo was going to make an Alm amiibo I would have thought you were crazy. And yet here we are with global recognition of FE2.

I want these because intelligent systems amiibo have gotten good use (smash, codename steam, fire emblem Fates), but what would really seal that decision for me would be a codename steam 2...

I know it's not happening...

MUST. BUY. AMIIBO. (Probably won't be able to get the special edition of the game at a decent price though...)

I love the armor details, but I think that they did a better job with Roy's amiibo, specially in the face.

This is cool but, can we please get some Ocarina Link, Windwaker Link, Ganondorf and Guardian amiibos? They're the ones that would sell like crazy, and are. Can't find Oc Link anywhere and the others go out as soon as they're in.

The first time I played Fire-Emblem was that mobile game for free, just to get points. I ended up liking it, so I MIGHT get this, with the amiibo because I love amiibo.

@BezBot You will, probably, love it. The franchise is amazing.

The amiibos looks a little off, the armor is awesome but Alm's face is weird! Celica is a bit better, but already bought it, love fire emblem so much to skip stuff!

@Proust You've reminded me that just this week I was thinking that my first world problem is that I spend so much on video games, special editions, and accessories, including the Echoes SE and amiibo like Alm and Celica, and monthly manga hauls, that I can't afford the special editions of the anime I buy and have to limit myself to the regular releases. You might call it the firstest of first world problems.

@BezBot If you want to get into the main series, I would reccomend starting with Awakening. There's a demo too.

About like the Marth and Lucina amiibo it seems.

It's the mouths they have issues with. But some end up looking ok. I had one Marth that looked alien and another that looked pretty decent. Just the slightest of difference in how thin the mouth is and how dark it is... it can make all the difference

@LiberatedAnimal I completely agree. I am playing the best game in recent memory (Zelda Breath of the Wild) and yet my experience is soured by the fact I cannot find a single Amiibo in the Zelda series except Ganon, which I own already.

Nintendo stock shortages are completely stupid. I'm actually really pissed at Nintendo right now. And it is all because of their corporate greed and lack of support of the fans that I feel that way. The problem is because they are my (and many others) favourite gaming company in terms of creativity, they can treat us like crap and we still come back.

@Roam85 If Codename STEAM had been made and marketed as an Advance Wars spin-off, it would've been better received.

@FierceRagnar Codename STEAM failed because it was a niche, untested property that had anti-hype from its very announcement because it wasn't a 3DS Metroid game and people hated the artstyle.
Marketing may have helped, but it wouldn't have alleviated any of the other issues. Plenty of people were determined not to like it and it had a very limited scope and audience.

EDIT: Though looking through your comment history it seems like you possess an irrational hatred of Splatoon. Glad to see you're still as pathetic as you were on SF.

@Kienda I can't even find a Ganondorf. I did stumble upon an archer and rider Link though. Got rider for the special saddle. I really want an Oc Link or the second WW Link though. Seem to be out of stock country wide.

@LiberatedAnimal I'm checking local stores regularly and online daily, still nothing. I even contacted Nintendo and they apparently have no information on if more stock will come in. It is a shame.
