The emulation quality must improve first. So far Nintendo has yet to design an emulator as good as the ones available on the internet. N64 emulation should include widescreen, hd resolutions, anti aliasong, and texture filtering. GameCube games should be remastered. We already have Dolphin for GC and Wii games. Nothing Nintendo would make could rival Dolphin.

People should be keeping their expectations low. Nintendo always has the worst E3 out of the big three. People get themselves overhyped and are naturally disappointed. Don't expect much because Nintendo never delivers.

It's years away so don't expect anything at E3.

People need to stop hyping up this company. They have put out six games that have received either mediocre or poor reviews. They're not some wonderful developer.

LKD is a fraud and was thoroughly debunked after the Switch event in January. Super Metal Dave, Emily Rogers, and LKD are all fakes.

It's not Beyond Good & Evil 2. The game just barely started development. It doesn't have any platforms because it's years away from even being formally revealed.

I don't think anybody really cares about this game.

Nintendo always has the most embarrassing E3's. Every year fans set their expectations high and every year Nintendo disappoints.

Porting Wii U games is not going to sell systems. These games didn't interest people enough to buy a Wii U so why would anyone buy a Switch for them?

@DragonEleven People also claimed that Retro was working on Eternal Darkness 2 and that turned out to be 2D Donkey Kong. The truth is we don't know what Retro is working. We don't know if this is still the same project they started a few years back.

@Danpal65 Making money off emulators is 100% legal. Look at Rare Replay. Microsoft could legally make money selling a Nintendo 64 emulator.

People should not take this as a sign that Retro is making a Metroid game. Remember the last time Retro was making a new game? People were absolutely certain that it was going to be Eternal Darkness 2 but it ended up being 2D Donkey Kong. Besides, Retro is not the same company that made Metroid Prime. The company has changed and a lot of those key people don't work there anymore.

This series still exists? Are people still dumb enough to keep buying these annual sports games?

This is the wrong decision. Nintendo needs to devote their development resources to the Switch.

I can't think of many games that even take advantage of the better hardware. Game Freak never bothered patching X/Y and didn't even include support for the New 3DS in ORAS. With such a low resolution screen though the extra power kinda goes to waste.

We already know it's not coming.

I wish they had swapped out some of the textures with higher resolution ones. Most of them look pretty good considering they were designed for 720p but there are few here and there that don't look great.

Nintendo really should have made higher resolution textures and bumped up the lighting and shadow quality.

This is nothing new for the company. They've been doing things like this for years.

People need to keep their expectations in check. People are only setting themselves up for disappointment with all this rampant speculation.

People really need to keep their expectations in check. There's no reason to be mad about this when we all knew this was going to be the announcement. SEGA had hinted at this so where's the surprise?

@ballistic90 The FFVII Remake is a PS4 exclusive. So far it's been nearly two years since it was announced and no other platform has been announced. As for KH3, in all likelihood the Xbox One version has been or will be scrapped. Kingdom Hearts is a PlayStation centric series. The games have never come to a Nintendo home console. The HD remasters didn't come to Wii U or Switch.

Why are people still begging for Kingdom Hearts? If you want to play the games then buy a PS4. It's really that simple. Kingdom Hearts has always been on PlayStation. It's not an exclusive but all the main games have only been on PlayStation. I'm glad that people have at least finally realized that the FFVII Remake is a PS4 exclusive and so have stopped begging for it.

They make other games besides Pokémon. There's no guarantee this is Pokémon related. Why do people always make assumptions?

Lair was the last game they put out and it was a flaming pile of garbage. This isn't even the same company anymore either. The Factor 5 that put out classics has been dead for a long time.

Pretending like the issue doesn't exist just makes things worse.

For once Nintendo is in the right. Now that the company is expanding into theme park attractions, this represents a problem for them. It gives people the impression that this is licensed by Nintendo and could hurt the company if they're planning on having any Mario Kart attractions at Universal.

There is a serious lack of games. That is an indisputable fact. The Switch has only one AAA title available right now and that should not be acceptable.

This is just pathetic. There's no justification for why they couldn't take advantage of the much more powerful hardware on the Switch. No one cares whether Wii U owners would have gotten a gimped version because the tiny userbase makes the system less important. All that extra power in the Switch dock just isn't being put to use.

We already know that the Switch is extremely weak. The Switch is not getting third party games. Nintendo had their chance to reach out to third parties but they chose not too. UE4 support is meaningless when the system can't run any games.

@Morph Platinum is not working on a Bayonetta 3. Games are not made overnight. Platinum had their hands full working on two AAA titles. Scalebound was just canceled last month ago. Bayonetta 3 doesn't exist.

Also, please Nintendo Life actually check the facts first. This is the same exact space Nintendo had last year. It's nothing new.

These specs are horrendous. The Switch is what we all feared it would be, substantially weaker than the PS4.

There is no Pikmin game coming out on Switch. The only Pikmin game coming out is the one on 3DS.

I don't expect much from Nintendo. The VC has been just terrible since its introduction. They really need to improve it.

Why is Nintendo being so secretive? The console launches next month. Their refusal to reveal more information is baffling.

Making any further 3DS games is unacceptable. The Switch needs 100% support from all Nintendo studios.

Giving more leadership positions to younger developers is crucial. Nintendo's leadership is aging and it's harming the company.

The launch is disappointing. Stop defending Nintendo. They can't improve unless fans stop defending everything they do. An acceptable launch would be with at least five AAA first party titles in addition to a range of AAA third party titles. The launch lineup is disgraceful. The rest of the year's lineup is just as bad. The only other AAA title coming out this year is Mario. Nintendo needs a steady flow of AAA first party titles each year. 10-15 would be acceptable.

That is completely outrageous and I amazed at how any Nintendo an can can defend this. If people want easy real change at Nintendo then stop blindly supporting everything they do. This online service offers pittence in comparison to the competition.

This is absolutely pathetic and embarrassing. There is no excuse for making more 3DS games. You can't expect the Switch to sell if you insist on supporting your old system instead.

I don't expect much from this. The series has been on a decline for a while now.

I am hoping they will finally announce Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn remasters.
