It was a terrible presentation. I will never understand Nintendo fans. Some people will just praise the company no matter what they do. There were no major launch games aside from Zelda, no western third party support, and just a plain lack of games all together. It's the same exact thing they did with the Wii U launch.

Specs are the single most important aspect of a console these days.

A Nintendo console should always be priced less than the competition. They lack games, power, and features of rival systems so they should be priced accordingly. If Nintendo wants to fail a price tag of $250 will guarantee it.

I'm not hyped at all. Given that it's a live Japanese broadcast we can expect no third party announcements (and no, Japanese games do not count) and we already know the hardware is pitifully weak. What's there to be excited about?

Since when can Nintendo stop people from selling things on ebay? If they legally purchased the product then they have every legal right to resell it.

Definitely no third party announcements then. Anything announced would be Japan centric. Japanese gamers don't really care about western games.

@KirbyTheVampire It's understandable though. He is just the American PR guy yet people keep asking him about these things despite Japan making it very clear that these games are only coming to the systems they specified. He's fed up with people asking the same question even though the answer hasn't changed.

I really don't know who thought that Persona could come to the Switch. It's the same thing with Kingdom Hearts and virtually all other Japanese games. Japanese games are on PlayStation. That's just how things are. You're not going to see Metal Gear, Kingdom Hearts, Persona, or any of those games on a Nintendo home console.

BG&E 2 is 2-3 years away at minimum. That pretty much disproves the rumor. The game only started pre production a few months ago. I wish people would stop with these incessant rumors and I wish NL would stop breathlessly reporting them. We saw this with the Wii U and it only ended up disappointing fans when those rumors turned out to be false. These stories needlessly get people's hopes up.

Absolutely no more 2D Platformers must be a priority of the company. It is 2017 and 2D platformers are no longer acceptable. Some Nintendo series like Kirby and Yoshi have yet to even see a 3D entry and others like Donkey Kong have been relegated to 2D for over a decade. Nintendo also needs to keep up with a steady flow of games. They need at least 10-15 major games a year.

I'm tired of these ridiculous rumors. Nintendo never confirmed that they are actually going to release a VR headset. Besides, these third party games aren't coming and people need to accept that. People are setting themselves up for disappointment.

@UmbreonsPapa Nintendo was in the wrong. Their response was pitiful and was insulting to fans. They're not protecting their IP. If they were truly protecting their IP then they would go after all fan hacks and all that garbage on the app store. They only went after Prism because it was popular. It wasn't harming anyone but because it was popular, Nintendo decided that was it.

Man the responses on here are terrible and rude. Nintendo made the wrong decision. When Christian Whitehead ported Sonic to mobile, SEGA didn't slap him with a C&D, they offered him a job. I can not understand these people who insist on defending everything Nintendo does.

@Mega_Yarn_Poochy Well of course IS is shifting resources to the Switch. They only make Nintendo games so they have no choice.

Companies renew trademarks all the time. People are grasping at straws here. Nintendo simply doesn't want the trademark to lapse. It's really that simple guys.

@DESS-M-8 The PS4 has outsold the PS2 at this same point in its lifespan. Nintendo has no chance at catching up to those sales.

This should not be an exclusive. Indie games are supposed to be independent. Making them exclusive contradicts that. Anyways this game looks and sounds dumb. Nintendo should not be wasting money purchasing the exclusivity of games like this.

Playtonic had no real choice. Nintendo dropped meaningful support for the system during development of this game and then discontinued it. It's a no win situation but Playtonic can't be blamed. What little sales they could get wouldn't recoup the costs of development. It's a tough decision but people shouldn't be angry at Playtonic. They tried. It's not their fault Nintendo made little effort to support the system.

As far I'm concerned the Virtual Console should be restricted to only pre 3D games. Anything 3D should be remastered and I will accept nothing less. Yes that means spending the money to redo all the assets for N64 games like Sony and Activision are doing for the Crash Bandicoot trilogy.

Not at all important. I want remasters. Anything from GameCube onwards should be remasters. Refusing to do remasters is lazy and unacceptable. The virtual console should be limited to pre 3D or early 3D games.

$19.99 for Other M is absolutely outrageous. Gamestop is selling it for $9.99 and its trade in value for cash is $2.40. It's worthless.

Why do people believe this nonsense? The developers have made it clear that there is no audience for their games on Nintendo consoles. They've been asked about this before and that's what they've said. When asked if II could come to the Wii U, the producer laughed. These rumors are people just making things up.

They've been hiring for a long time. These positions have gone unfilled for quite some time. People should not be expecting something big or wonderful from Retro. They simply do not have the staff necessary to make very much.

@Mogster Nintendo owns only 1/3 of Pokemon. Creatures Inc owns 1/3 and Game Freak owns slightly more.

The mini NES is dirt cheap for Nintendo to make. They're already charging an exorbitant price for it. They'd still be making plenty of money if they'd just spend a little bit on the cables.

@PlanetaryNebulae That's normal. I believe it pushes the old 3DS into extended memory mode.

Bayonetta 2 is next. People insisted that this game could not be ported to other systems but it is. SEGA's Wii U games were all timed exclusives just like Ubisoft with Zombi U. Sonic Boom is certainly a timed exclusive as well but there's no money to be made by porting it.

@Nintendoer run well? These games struggle on the old 3DS. Any time there's a double battle the frame rate drops. Z moves cause the frame rate to drop as well.

I think it deserved to fail. It's underpowered, overpriced (both the console and the games), and has few good games. It is by far Nintendo's worst effort and they ought to be ashamed of themselves. They sent it out to die. It had no major titles at launch. No Zelda, no 3D Mario, nothing. Where were the heavy hitters Nintendo?

I have never bought a Wii U and would not consider it unless Nintendo drastically reduced the price. The specs are too outdated and there aren't enough games to justify that price. The system should have been below $150 at this point.

Game Freak has made it abundantly clear that they don't do third versions anymore. They also do not release games across multiple systems in one generation. They didn't so with BW2. Come on people stop believing this garbage.

They won't port it. Porting a Fighting game to a Nintendo console is suicide. They can't compete with Smash.

FE Fates will get demolished because it's in the same category as Civ VI and XCOM 2.

No other company has such issues with translating games. Nintendo has such difficulty with it yet Western developers manage to release games in multiple languages and have them all on one disc. Maybe it's time for Nintendo to make their games in English?

Why are people talking about SFV? What part of exclusive is so difficult to understand? Capcom has made it clear that it is not coming to any other systems.

I always liked the art style of this game. It's got a neat look to it. GX was the better game but this had a really unique art style.

It would also be nice if N64 games were available in HD and widescreen like rare replay.

Have no interest in any 3DS games after this year. The system is far too old and far too outdated.

I need exact specs and screen resolution.

Remember the Wii U had an impressive launch list. Wait 6-12 months to see if there's full third party support.

@-DEMISE- The lost is too long to write out but you can look up how often she's been wrong. She makes basic non descript guesses so that she can be right. She didn't know there would be a Paper Mario on Wii U. She made a guess like the rest of us.

It's not going to be an exclusive. We know that for a fact. Ubisoft does not make exclusives. They are a multi-platform company. They have tried supporting Nintendo in the past and it didn't work out. People need to accept reality and acknowledge that third parties simply are not coming back.

@GrayMoon Genius Sonoroty made those games but they laid off the majority of their staff after PBR flopped. They can't make big games anymore.
