Re: Random: Forget Dread, It's All About Metroid: Other M On Twitter Right Now

LUIGITORNADO

In the context of the manga other M’s characterzation of Samus makes sense. It makes sense to have a monotone, detached Samus with PTSD if NONE of the other games exsisted.

The writing still blows. The dialogue. “The baby.” “Remember me?” The deleter side plot. The Madeline Bergman identity thing. It’s all a bunch of nonesense.

Gameplay was too easy. Pixel hunts were stupid. Third to first person mode was clunky. And forcing to play with a single Wii Remote was a misstep. Just because you can do it Sakamoto doesn’t mean you should.

Other M was always mediocre. Anyone who scored the game above a 5 was wrong.

Re: Metroid Dread Studio Hit With Allegations Of Poor Organisation And Management

Is there an anti-work movement in europe or Spain right now?

I’m in a stressful work environment myself, so I feel for these ex-employees at MS. It’s odd though. If I went on Twitter and started complaining about the stuff at my job (if I quit) there would be no platform. My boss was an incompetent manager who made everyone else’s job harder…disorganized…didn’t plan anything. No media site would care about it. But since this is a prolific game that’s hot right now…we’re acting like MS employed child labor or killed puppies or something. The accusations seem all over the place.

I don’t doubt it’s true.

Stressful work environments suck. Airing this dirty laundry in public might make Nintendo look into it, but it might not.

Idk…lol…just because it’s a game and we like it, doesn’t mean these work problems are actually atrocities…all it means is that MS has a management problem and will continue to have one if they don’t address these issues. It will culminate into high turn over rates, low morale, and crappy products in the future other wise.

Re: Uh-Oh, Nintendo's Switch Online 'Expansion Pack - Overview Trailer' Is Generating A Lot Of Dislikes

I mean good. I know a lot of users here will chalk it up as “complainers” or “whiners,” but Nintendo’s Online service has always been awful. They need to know that they have customers who want a better service.

So that’s my level headed thought about the whole thing.

Personally. I don’t want freaking animal crossing dlc. I’d gladly pay $10 more for N64 games. Tacking on ACDLC is a waste of my time. I’ve been done with that game for over a year. No interest in going back. Those idiots are so freaking short sighted.

I’m tired of this Japanese business philosophy of “we offer you a catered service because we know best. You must be polite and accept it.”

It’s 2021. It’s a world market. Everything has options. Can’t even deselect exp share in Pokémon lol.

I hope this “expansion” underperforms. Maybe then they’ll realize that they’ve been serverly outclassed for the past decade when it comes to their online service.

I can’t wait for the ++ expansion offering handheld titles from the past, but with it comes a $30 add on for that cardboard game they did.

I know AC has a high attach rate, but what about the people who don’t have AC? Waste of god damn money.

Yikes. How boring. At one point Nintendo will need to start developing games for their next platform. Can’t imagine Swirch has more juice in it after another 2 years. COVID may have killed development sooner than expected.

I don’t really expect much from them beyond, Pokémon, breath of the wild 2 and Metroid. I wouldn’t be surprised if the new Prime was pushed to a dual release. Bayonetta 3 whenever I guess. Sounds like Platinum is waiting for Nintendo to make a move within release date more than anything.

I would give them a pass because of the pandemic, but this behavior of paltry releases happens all the time.

Oh hai Mario Golf and a new Smash fighter. I should be all set for 3-4 months 🙄 Sometimes I wonder if they’re leaning into indie too much, as a way to pad content for the system. Too bad majority of its garbage.
