@MrSeitaro i think they look fine. It’s the frame rate and resolution dragging it down. Superficially in he prologue. I feel like I’m using a flip book to render them.

Bayonetta 2 and Astral Chain are the tops for me.

I agree. The flamboyant designs don’t do anything for me.

As soon as a dev makes a FE game with a dark fantasy look, I’m out of this franchise.

I still like the gameplay loop of battles. It’s the only reason why I still buy FE games.

And lol @ that other Pete user talking about “females” and liking the character “breasts.” Some people just fit the stereotype I guess.

Looks like a standard anime character design. The squished facial features look silly.

Maybe they should hire a better artist next game.

AND TBH I hate that they got Hale. You can tell it's Hale. It's Hale trying to sound like Taylor's Bayonetta.

Taylor put the work in, she did the two other games (anime movie too?). The voice she created has informed the character work since then.

I'm so annoyed by this and for Taylor.

I liked 3 better than the other 2. Combat felt the best here.

It’s just…too much. It’s too high. It’s obnoxious and for movie it wouldn’t work.

He wouldn’t be good in a long speaking role as Mario. Honestly. I wouldn’t bay an eye if they replaced him as Mario in the games entirely.

His high pitched voice work for Mario is awful and outdated, and I’m tired of hearing it.

What’s the odds limited run publishes them?

I thought NMH3 was on equal level of the first 2. The series has always been niche and middilimf. Performance has always been poor

Still mildly annoyed they recasted Bayonetta. Nothing against Hale, but she got one of those voices where I just hear it everywhere. It sounds like she’s doing an accent.

The equivalent would be casting Nolan North as Kratos.

Fantasy is oversaturated in video games. A LotR RPG has little to nothing to say compared to all its Tolkien fantasy clones that have been popping up in popular media the last four decades.

It’s fine. I’m nitpicking. I just don’t see what so pretty about it. It’s just too clean for my tastes.

I replayed it a few years ago. I loved it as a kid, but I don’t think it has aged well. Combat is just really simple lol. Like half baked.

Very charming though. Lot of cool world building.

I think PoR and RD being on a straight console didn’t help.

Just not digging Engage. It looks too colorful. Too clean. It reminds me of that lame gatcha weeb game that people are playing.

I would kill for a FE game that had the art design of a western fantasy with a more mature story / political intrigue. Something that doesn’t tip toe around sex and relationships with tea parties and fully explore it. No more or less that BioWare does.

That game wouldn’t be made by IS. So I shouldn’t bother. Just not really overall excited for this.

That's a shame. I'd buy a game inspired by the older aesthetic 100x over. Especially if it had a more mature story, and less tea parties.

Stopped playing HK because of that.

Still haven’t beat that 3D World level. I get to the speed tile area with the keys and I always miss the warp box after getting the keys. Too much going on.

Only EA properties I care about still is Dragon Age and Mass Effect. Both have been tiptoeing.

If Amazon can pump some resources into EA then I’m fine with this. Do a Dragon Age Origins remake.

If they use EA’s and developers resources to pump out more live service garbage, then RIP EA.

I had Super Metroid as a 5-year-old. Couldn’t beat it.

Didn’t try the franchise again until I was 15. I played melee. Thought Samus was cool, so I played Zero Mission, Prime and Fusion…and then the rest lol

It dropped pretty hard.

Maybe that’ll mean retailers will try to flush out their physical copies with sales like they did with SMT
