Re: Nintendo Switch Sports Version 1.2.0 Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

LUIGITORNADO

What’s crazy with these updates is the constant communication necessary. There is so much noise out there, and Nintendo is assuming that people and owners of the game are always engaged and plugged in. How many people bought this and haven’t touched it for weeks? How would they know there was an update. If they been binging Stranger Things or have moved onto something else?

These post release updates seem to be far too many. Maybe Nintendo has the data that proves otherwise, but THE AUDIENCE HAS MOVED ON.

Re: Soapbox: 20 Years Later, Super Mario Sunshine Is Still The Best 3D Mario

LUIGITORNADO

Damn…I was 13?

I remember when it releases. I walked to the bank. Withdrew the money. Walked to GameStop…and bought it.

My parents were pissed at me. I faked a stomach ache to get out of going to my aunt’s pool party that afternoon, with thee plan of purchasing Sunshine.

As an adult I just realized I’m still a sneaky SOB and will fake being sick to get out of going places so I can play video games.

Re: Mario Strikers: Battle League Update Adds Daisy, Shy Guy, And More

LUIGITORNADO

I’ll just wait until all the updates are done and I’ll buy the game at a discount.

I understand the thinking behind engaging the audience and doing “free” updates, but who’s really going to spend that much time with a Mario sports title?

Children with no spending power.

As an adult I’ll buy a finished game instead.

Re: Poll: Do You Think We'll Get A Nintendo Direct Next Week?

LUIGITORNADO

Nintendo will do what they want, but the directs are a marketing tool THEY'VE pushed. It's something that generates interest, and spotlight, and news to advertise their games.

If they don't see the value in it anymore, then whatever I suppose.

As I get older I'm becoming less interested in this whole secrecy thing that video game industry is built around.

I don't understand it anymore. Maybe it's because I lack patience for the dog and pony shows.

Re: Reggie Talks About Nintendo's Slow Adoption Of Online Play

LUIGITORNADO

I was super excited when Mario Kart DS opened up online play. As a kid it was such a wild idea that I would be able to race against other people that were not my family members.

I had to get the WiFi USB adapter thingy. Then I figured out how to connect to my school’s WiFi. I remember it as being kind of spotty connection, but it was my first online game and it was so simple fun.

I’ve had this Luigitornado tag for years. I designed my own racing decal in MKDS of a green tornado with the Luigi L.

I was so proud of racing using it among the marijuana decals and hairy butts.
