Re: Nintendo Switch Hardware Sales Reach Another Level in Japan

Kolzig

It's insane that 145 200 Switches have been sold in Japan in the past week. I have been here five weeks and I have not seen even one on any store shelves in Tokyo! Just some electronic stores have paper ads where they say they have five consoles to sell and those will be raffled off, not just sold to the fastest buyers.

Only used games shops have used consoles on shelf, like Splatoon and Mario special edition consoles for 50000 yen and the regular version I've seen in used game shops going for over 40000 yen which is insanity when the normal price should be 30000 yen.

I was going to buy one during this trip, but not for those rip off prices.

Re: Blaster Master Zero Version 1.5 Goes Live on 23rd November

Kolzig

Nice, I wonder did they bother to update the 3DS and Switch European versions, since they completely disregarded the European fans of Azure Striker Gunvolt and left us without 1.3 and 1.4. updates that change the game a lot.

Blaster Master Zero's demo was nice, but I will not support anymore such devs that leave out a continent of their fans. Still disappointed that I actually went and bought ASG 1 and 2 back in the day. Inti-Creates really made a mess of themselves.

Re: Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Is Available Now

Kolzig

It's downlodable for me on my Finnish account while I'm in Japan. Strangest is though that why in the world did I not get any notification from Google Play store, I had preregistered for the availability of the app.

Re: Review: Metroid: Samus Returns (3DS)

Kolzig

Whoa, surprising and cool to see the review embargo dropped and pretty much all reviews giving praise for the game.

Shame the limited edition was handled in such an extra super limited sense that it was sold out before it really was in the shops.

Re: Don't Pay Over The Odds For A SNES Classic Mini, Urges Reggie Fils-Aime

Kolzig

@Nico87

Because like with NES Classic they can say that buy Switch instead.

There have been countless good reports on this that Nintendo doesn't really want to sell millions of Classic devices for cheap. They got incredible amounts of publicity last year because of NES everywhere. Then it started turning negative because they didn't want to supply more than part of the incoming orders.

They only time in more than ten years that I have heard completely random people at places for example at workplaces people who never have talked about games before mention Nintendo was last Chrismas. First everyone was hopeful that they could revisit their childhood and show their own kids how the games were back then and play together, but then it turned sour because Nintendo didn't produce people what they wanted. Only after that the negative press started and Nintendo completely missed the big profits NES Classic.

In the end the only ones who did profit was the scalpers like with every limited edition these days that Big N produces. Another example is Metroid 2 limited edition.

Re: Jools Watsham Highlights Low Chicken Wiggle Sales, Confirms Upcoming Discount

Kolzig

In my opinion indie audience hasn't left 3DS, maybe marketing in American eShop was bad, but I noticed the game easily in Europe.

In my opinion this Chicken Wiggle just doesn't look as interesting as Mutant Mudds and Xeodrifter. The name is also in my honest opinion a bit terrible.

If this were instead Treasurenauts then I would've bought it. Also the price is way too high for a game like this that nobody except hardcore platform audience knows, especially since general public might recognize Renegade Kid but surely doesn't recognize Atooi as a name.

Not belonging to Jools anymore, but damn I am still heavily disappointed that Renegade Kid promised to release Moon Chronicles in Europe, but never did.

Re: Azure Striker Gunvolt Has Passed 250k Sales on 3DS

Kolzig

Since the sales have been so good, it makes me wonder even more why do they hate their European fans so much that 1.3. and 1.4. version updates for ASG1 have never come in Europe to 3DS eShop.

I probably don't even need to mention the Striker Pack since we never got that either.

I really would like to hear an explanation either straight from the devs or through journalistic investigation from NLife's excellent writers like @SwitchVogel why Inti Creates never updated the European version.

That behaviour and combined lousy work they did on Mighty No 9 just killed all my interest in their company's work.

I wouldn't mind if the 1.3 and 1.4. were just some stability fixes, but 1.3. changes the whole game with the so called Steam update and Japanese language etc.

Re: Nintendo Download: 31st August (Europe)

Kolzig

@readyletsgo

I would say that would be impossible that Nintendo says no to an update when the devs updated the North American version without problems a year ago already. NoE is always really open to dev talks compared to the NoA operations.

Europeans however never got the so called Steam version update with the Japanese language and uncut dialogue etc.

Devs also have promised to release it in Europe but haven't done that during all this time. This from their own blog.

It's not business of making money if you make your paying fans hate you. I at least will never buy any of their games because of this behaviour towards customers. ASG and the missing Striker Pack (which also released in North America a year ago) and their shoddy developing of Mighty No 9 sealed that boycott deal.

If I would've known how they operate I would've never bought the first ASG from the eShop.

Re: Nintendo Download: 31st August (Europe)

Kolzig

This week finally shows it will Inti Creates hate European fans or not.

Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack arrives, but seems to be only for Switch. So 3DS users are again forgotten and let me guess the Switch version comes with the latest updates while the 3DS version is never going to be updated?

I so hope Nintendolife would just ask Inti Creates directly that why do they do this? Why do they hate the European 3DS fans so much?

Re: Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack Is Getting a Physical Release

Kolzig

I wonder will this publisher take up the duties and actually release the Striker Pack for 3DS as well in Europe since that never happened?

Still waiting for the missing updates for the 3DS version, hopefully those come before this Switch version arrives, or then the developer truly does hate their European fans.

Re: Blaster Master Zero Passes 100,000 Downloads for Switch & 3DS

Kolzig

I would get it if the developers deserved it, but they don't because of how they treated their fans and customers in Europe regarding Azure Striker Gunvolt.

It's incredible that Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack is coming to Switch 31.8.2017 and the 1.3. version is still not in Europe for 3DS, and also the physical Striker Pack is nowhere to be seen in Europe for 3DS.

There's apparently even a damn 1.4. version available for North America while Europe is still stuck in 1.2.!
NA got 1.3. in October 2016 and 1.4. in December 2016.

Re: Gallery: King Of Games Celebrates 15 Years Of Awesome Video Game Clothing

Kolzig

I love King of Games's shirts. Got a Starfox shirt from them last year and Splatoon t-shirt earlier.

The shirts are crazy expensive though. Like 50-60€ per shirt. And with very limited quantities in the typical Japanese way.

The price is a bit explained that these shirts are not some cheap crap from China or Bangladesh etc, but instead all made in Kyoto.

Re: '90s Super GP Will Be Power Sliding On To Switch Soon

Kolzig

The worst handled Kickstarter ever. Still happy that the Greek dev Pelikan actually refunded my pledge back after months of discussions.

Nicalis aka Tyrone Rodriguez and Pelikan really messed this up in a major way. Nicalis always messes up their projects and this one was doomed from the moment when Nicalis bought the rights.

Not going to touch this one ever, when it finally gets released in 2020.

Re: Nintendo Download: 1st June (Europe)

Kolzig

@readyletsgo

Blaster Master Zero could possibly be worth the price, but I will never support the devs again, because of how they treated European fans regarding Azure Striker Gunvolt.

Re: Azure Striker Gunvolt Double Pack Confirmed For Euro Release

Kolzig

@Elpizo Interesting, but in yesterday's announcements they said the Azure Striker Pack is coming to Europe for Switch, I hope they are meaning also 3DS because that would be a crappy decision to leave 3DS out, since the 1.3 update is still missing also. They are over six months late with the European 3DS release now.

Re: Inti Creates Announces Blaster Master Zero Version 1.2

Kolzig

I just wish Inti Creates would stop hating their European fans and release the Azure Striker Gunvolt 1.3 update in Europe that North Americans already got last year for 3DS.

Could Nintendo Life and @SwitchVogel ask from Inti Creates that will the 1.3. version update ever appear in Europe for Azure Striker Gunvolt? Also could you please update and clarify this Blaster Master Zero news as well and ask from Inti Creates is this 1.2. version update only coming to North American 3DS eshop?

Re: The Famicom Classic Edition Has Now Also Been Discontinued

Kolzig

Difference between the Japanese announcement and the other regions is that in Japan the say it's only temporarily discontinued.

But damn this NES/Famicom Mini was unbelievably badly handled by Nintendo. They lost sales that would've reached millions during Christmas.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Needs to Learn Lessons From Its NES Mini Mistakes

Kolzig

One thing the idiots at Nintendo need to learn is that they need to actually get the product to shelves. The demand for Nintendo Mini was incredible, bigger than I've ever seen for ANY console around here. So many people for example at my workplace talked about wanting to get it and none of them ever play games these days are talked about games. They all wanted Nintendo Mini to get back to the good old days in their childhood and show their kids also.

None of them could buy Nintendo Mini since it was never sold in Finland at all, I never saw it in any shop and online stores always had "temporarily sold out" messages, never in stock. So it never was actually sold here.

Re: NES Mini Also Discontinued in Australia

Kolzig

I never even saw it sold anywhere in Finland. Did they ever even have it for sale? Was it all just a joke?

It seems incredible that NES Mini was the first gaming device that even old ladies at my workplace talked about wanting to buy, but none could because it was never sold anywhere.

Doesn't Nintendo understand how stupid they are when they left millions of customers unsatisfied and disappointed?
