When Nintendo UK opened up pre-orders for Metroid: Samus Returns a while back, they sold out almost instantly.
The pack comes with a retro steelbook case, 40-page Artbook, soundtrack, gold S-Mark pin, Morph Ball 3D keyring and a download code for Metroid II: Return of Samus.
If you didn't get one last time, then you'll be pleased to learn that they're open again - but you might want to be quick.
The game can be pre-ordered for £59.99 and is limited to a single copy per customer. It launches on 15th September.

I would love to get this, but I think its way too expensive for what it is. Rather use the money to buy another game honestly.
Bayonetta Amiibo has come back up on there too for those whom want it
It's lovely but man that price is inflated. If it was £50 I'd have bought it and I don't even own a 3DS, that's how nice it is.
@chiptoon
I agree. These kind of items are nice to have, but I feel like they should be bonus items/giveaways to promote the product and to encourage people to adopt this game early or something. Paying a little extra would still be ok, but I also feel like this is too much.
I'm just glad that they did re-open them, my brother who'd been desperate to get this was elated when he secured the pre-order he missed last month.
Is it physical or digital? It's so confusing. It says it has a code, but it also comes with a box and a steelbook?
physical
Finally!
@ImagineerNik
The 3ds game is physical. There is also a download code in there for the original gameboy game which has a slightly different name
Just the game for me, though I like that keyring!
Had the web pages open for this in the background for ages hoping they would get more stock thank god!! 😁
@Paperboy Ohhhhhhhhhhh of course! Damn. It's been right in front of me the whole time.......... Good thing I pre-ordered it then.
Now out of stock, hopefully you were lucky enough to preorder
Oh c'mon, out of stock again, it was 45 minutes!
Oops, I was out food shopping.
The only Metroid I have Played was the first game of Metroid Trilogy for Wii U. Should I buy this new 2DS XL version?
@setezerocinco Absolutely.
Thankfully got it during the initial preorder opening, which was a surprise seeing as I was standing next to a runway at a massive USAF base watching over 100 aircraft flying in after a 5AM wake up.
@Victeeny Lol, I've been keeping a few tabs open for the SNES Mini! I'm glad you got a Samus Returns!
Wow, that really didn't take long for them to run out of stock again.
I'm just thankful there was another chance, I can stop hunting for this for my brother's sake now.
I ordered it. €70 though, that's crazy. And I can't even play it.
Arghhh, missed it again
I wonder if the steelbook has those cartridge indentations or whether it's just printed on...
What about the amiibo?
@jswhitfield8 typical Irish
@jswhitfield8 No it'll joined the ranks of my immense collection. Although I've not fully decided. I've said elsewhere that I might sell it on at face value to someone who wants it.
@sandman89 "typical Irish"
What a stupid response. And that could be classed as racist.
@jswhitfield8 @sandman89 @SLIGEACH_EIRE
Come on guys, this is a collectors edition. The fun you are talking about is also available trough the standard version. All the other items are usable without a 3ds. I really don't thinks Slig is wrong on this one.
Wow who cares what @SLIGEACH_EIRE will do with his order. Does it really matter if he'll just look at it, sell it again or throw it in the garbage bin as soon as he has his copy? I mean it's his choice right? If you just want to play the game you can easily get it digitally.
I have never in all my life been more jealous of something that another region was receiving exclusively.
@jswhitfield8 It's a Collector's Edition. And it's my business what I do with it. All Nintendo care is that they've got their €70.
@jswhitfield8 He'll be able to use the bonus content as much as anyone else. If he doesn't play the games thats the exception, but anyone can get the standard edition if they want to play it. The actual games the same either way.
Lets not act like the other buyers aren't going to stick the bonus items on their shelves for display also.
Come on, Amazon Germany!
How many times is it likely to go back up in stock again?
@Paperboy Absolutely!
And once again I missed it... I know it's meant to be limited but for the love of Christ...
@ennan
What gets me is that was completely unannounced. I only found out by chance because I'd been keeping tabs on stock availability, and got a routine "Is this what you're looking for?" email from Nintendo UK Store.
sigh im feling like il not be able to get this CE.. -__-
God dammit missed it again! If any lucky sod who has managed to preorder a copy would like to straight swap for a my snes mini I have on preorder give me a shout.
Nintendo y u no bring to North America, y, I need this
@sandman89 'typical Irish'?! Watch yourself, no need for that. @SLIGEACH_EIRE has got lucky, good for him, at least he's not a scalper.
@RupeeClock I'm starting to grow tired of this constant disappointment. I just hope my SNES mini preorder comes through...
Missed it again I've got a feeling this is an LE that I'm not going to get my hands on. I'm still waiting for it to come up on Amazon.
Err out of stock
@ennan My brother's been in the same deal, he has trouble getting these pre-orders at all because they're at odd hours for very short times.
@arken3uk Yup, pre-orders were only open for the good part of an hour around 9/10am.
I am getting mighty sick of this happening every darn time. They never start pre-orders at the same time, and it is always during work hours so am I never aware when the damn thing is available.
Well that's fine. It is a special edition; Nintendo are entitled to make as many as they want...
However, I am entitled to refuse to buy the game outright because I can't get the edition I want. Extreme perhaps, but I've had enough of Nintendo pulling this sort of rubbish.
I am aware that I sound awfully bitter when I post this, so I will preemptively say that I will probably be fine later about this, after all, I am thrilled that Nintendo are making Metroid games again, but for now... nope.
It's the same old Nintendo marketing bull crap!
@BulkSlash was buzzing haha
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand out of stock.
It sucks that this edition is sold out everywhere. Nintendo needs to learn more about supply and demand. They are leaving huge amounts of customers without the legacy edition. But then they make tons of versions of Animal Crossing Wii U special edition boxes or the Wind Waker Wii U special edition that nobody bought.
Really wished this released to North America too. I will settle for the soundtrack version. It's crazy that it's been been thirteen years since fusion.
For a second there, I thought it said 'removed' rather than reopened XD
