Earlier this year Inti Creates revealed that Azure Striker Gunvolt and Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 would hitting Japanese retail in a single pack, and shortly afterwards it was confirmed that this same bundle would be launching in North America too - with Yacht Club Games handling publishing duties. However, the possibility of a European release has been up in the air - until now.
A PEGI rating has just gone live for the double pack which would suggest that an official announcement regarding the release shouldn't be far away. Yacht Club Games is listed as the publisher.
Will you be picking up this physical release or are you taking the download route with both Azure Striker Gunvolt and its sequel? Let us know with a comment.

Truck Yeah, i'm so excited for this!
I would love to add this to my retail 3DS Collection.
If the price is right ill get it. Been interested in playing the first one but never quite got to it.
Glad I haven't downloaded yet
WOOOHOOO!!!! !
I really wanted this one for the 3DS. Now I get to play it
I doubt any of these packs will be easily available in our retail stores anyway. It's generous enough that I see titles like Bravely Default, FE Fates and Xenoblade in stock. So I'll likely just download it when the planets, my priorities and my wallet condition are properly aligned.
Can't help but wonder if this was done deliberately so as not to hurt first day downloads.
I'll definitely be buying it but may buy the digital version of the second game as well. I still need to properly finish the first but may use an FAQ as I'm repeating stages so often or performing leaps of faith I'm now getting a bit bored.
Whether I get the second on sale depends on how I feel at the time.
I should have waited 18months before I decided to buy a virtual version of the 1st game.
Sold
I downloaded the first game, but damn, I'll double-dip for this, nothing beats physical, especially when you're a multi-(3)DS household.
Great, I'll buy this and refrain from getting the digital version now. Hopefully we don't have to wait for long. If there's a Direct incoming anytime soon, that would be a good place to announce this.
nice for EU player who haven't play the first two games
I already have the first game through eShop so no combo set for me.
What happened to the promise that the 3DS version would get the huge update that the PC version got earlier. The Japanese audio etc?
I didnt download these but will absolutely buy a physical copy.
I'm definitely getting this. Good thing I held back from buying the first game digitally; as amazing as I heard it was.
Here's hoping it doesn't have a large release gap like many recent 3DS have had....* Cough * Fire Emblem Fates, Yo-Kai Watch and
Dragon Ball Fusions * Cough *
@Kolzig
Don't know. They haven't really talked about it since a year when they made the announcement in August 2015. This combo pack however, I think, has the original game with Japanese audio. Gotta watch the trailer of physical announcement to re-check.
I don't want get the PC version just to get all the addons, although I am now considering going physical dual pack. Not buying the 2nd digital till I find out the fate of the update to the original game.
Loved the first though, just need to get S+ in all now. Although however I decide to get Japanese audio option, I'll have to go through the game again, which I really don't mind since I remember most of the levels by heart anyway.
I downloaded Gunvolt 2 yesterday, but will pick up the retail at one point in the future.
Would prefer too snap up the physical version.
@LasermasterA @Kolzig
As of 8th September

"Also, in regards to the Japanese Voice Mode for Azure Striker Gunvolt 1 on the 3DS, we are sorry that it is taking as long as it has to give you any concrete information. At this point, we can tell you that the Japanese Voice Mode will definitely be included in the Striker Pack for sure. Just like the Steam version, it will have all of the voices back in place and the new translation to go along with said voices. As for any sort of patch/update to the digital version of GV1, as soon as we have something for you, we will not hesitate to announce it."
@Greenalink
Oh thanks for that. I had searched a week ago and found nothing, so I guess I must have skipped over it xD
So yea as I said, it's in the Striker Pack, but they hadn't made any announcements for the patch for a year (which is a shame, since that's what they promised). And as the post says they don't have anything for it yet >.<
So does the Striker Pack GV1 have the extra modes that the PC version has? Speedrun Mode and one more iirc.
I mean I am disappointed that they don't have anything for the download version, but I love the game enough to get the double pack. Soon.
YES!! Been waiting for this news for what feels like ages!
I already have the 1st game but I'll gladly pay for the 2nd game which I don't have yet.
Been holding off because I was hoping this would come to EU. It's happening! I'll definitely hold off.
Got interedted in this game when I heard about the sequel. So Im right on time. Definitely gonna get this.
How long do we have to wait?
Any word about whether or not Mighty Gunvolt will be included?
Day 1! Love me some Inticreates 2D action platforming.
Hooray! I was waiting for this news.
@Greenalink Well that sucks if only the physical version would have the update in it. That is actually really bs, like in the line of Intl Creates work with Mighty No 9.
Also shame as I already have both games as digital versions and will never by those for a second time as physical. Unless they give one copy for free which they will not do. How hard is it to just release a free update in the 3DS eShop damn it? Clearly if they are doing it for the physical version, the digital version is just laziness then.
I am buying a 3Ds simply to play these games.
I was literally just about to download Azure Striker Gunvolt 2! So glad i decided to peek in here before starting up my 3DS
@Kolzig
Yea it's a shame, and I am also disappointed that they can't deliver the update to the digital version.
Don't know about laziness but it might be something to do with delivering big updates to the 3DS game? Cause essentially the Japanese voice was not added organically to the game but a separate mode itself was created in the Steam version which had the voice acting, revised script, deleted skits and mid stage conversations whereas the base mode kept the original "localization" and no voice acting. And it being added in the striker pack it is technically a "different' game.
Although they should have given us the update since their majority sales were definitely on the 3DS.
I couldn't wait I wanted to pick up the physical copy but I downloaded two as I have the first game downloaded as well and I can say two is awesome better than the first one which is saying alot cause I love the first game ., fans of the series you will not be disappointed they did an amazing job on the sequel.
Yes. Love the first game but I was only going to download the second if we weren't getting the physical release. I'll wait a bit longer now
Great idea!
News from September, now it's March and there is no Striker Pack for Europe and no version 1.3 update for the first game
@Kolzig This is exactly why they're never getting my money again after they screwed us European fans over by not releasing the update or the striker pack here.
@Elpizo Interesting, but in yesterday's announcements they said the Azure Striker Pack is coming to Europe for Switch, I hope they are meaning also 3DS because that would be a crappy decision to leave 3DS out, since the 1.3 update is still missing also. They are over six months late with the European 3DS release now.
Just noticed there's actually 1.4. version update for North America existing, but Europe is forever stuck in 1.2. because of non-communicative developers. Inti Creates really doesn't want people to buy their games apparently, especially in Europe.
