Sports Story

Back in 2019, Sidebar Games revealed Sports Story, an upcoming sequel to the excellent Golf Story that's planned to launch as a Nintendo Switch exclusive. The announcement was made during a Nintendo Indie World Showcase, not only being one of the highlight games of the event, but also causing a great deal of excitement among fans who had played the original.

It's right up there with the most anticipated indie games headed to Nintendo's platform, but its original "mid-2020" launch window came and went without a release. Sidebar Games confirmed that the game was being delayed last August, and we haven't heard a peep about its development progress since.

Until now, that is. In a rare update posted to Twitter this morning, the studio has said:

"Everything is coming together now. Please look forward to more updates going forward, we have much to share!"

In a later post, the team also shared a new screenshot. "Everybody wants to know the first step to turning pro. Wall Bounders is that first step."
