While I don't love that I can't keep them either, a good bonus is when it comes to family or friends you can play anything online since they have access to the same games.
Edit: It's also easier to recommend or get them to play something. Just download the app and you got access to everything. Convenience wise it's pretty awesome.
@mlt I found Tropical Freeze much easier than DKCR. DKCR's easy mode by default is harder than Tropical Freeze's easy mode alone based on the fact that Kong letters don't get saved on collecting them.
@PinderSchloss Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town remake is like the core HM experience. Then there's Wonderful Life remake which I enjoyed too which is in 3D. Both games I think let you date anyone regardless of who you play as if I recall.
@Joeynator3000 No? I used to play it and I never heard anyone say it was bad. Just people bitching about gatcha stuff and the like.
What people did complain about were the characters being unbalanced or broken when they launched a new character.
Man I really like Galarian Rapidash, and it's almost tempting me to go back in but I don't wanna play anymore games where I need to log in daily to collect stuff.
@Lizuka Same, I replayed the original on NSO thinking I beat it long ago when I borrowed it (I guess I never did because there's a lot I don't remember) and there's a lot of problems I had with the game that I kept putting it down and picking it up weeks/months later. I also found the overworld switching annoying
I also like Worms 3D. I don't prefer it over the 2D games but still good. There's just some things that you can't do in 3D like the tunneling and stuff.
Man the controls really suck in this. Especially with the level editor. Couldn't even put touch controls and no retry in the missions mode is aggravating. I should have just stuck with WMD.
It's still Worms so it's still fun, just hate having to get used to the controls again. Idk why they keep changing the button mapping each time with no option to change it.
@Bonggon5 Not always. Took me a second time to get into Hollow Knight. Mario Odyssey and Kirby's Forgotten Land I didn't appreciate/have more fun with till I played it a replayed it a second time.
@Truegamer79 Super Sentai has long been a thing before Voltron. Zyuranger (which is what Power Rangers was based on) was at the time the 16th entry in the series. The combiner robot was a thing before it too, I think Getter Robo was the first to do it in animation if you don't count that one centipede robot in Astroboy.
The Megazord from Mighty Morphin/Zyuranger was inspired by Voltron though.
It fascinates me to no end how people go out of their way to get upset over anything. Sucks for you though I guess. Sorry you can’t let people just enjoy something without it causing you some odd feelings that you feel are important enough that you need to let others know.
@LikelySatan I haven't read Swamp Thing myself but I've heard some good things. I've been burned out on Super Heroes for a while though. Haven't seen any of the Marvel movies past the first Iron Man.
@LikelySatan I think you missed the point of what I said. I wasn't talking about power levels or who's stronger. I said the good Superman stories aren't about that. Superman vs The Elite is a good story about the public thinking he's cliched and outdated.
@LikelySatan There are a lot of bad Superman stories and its really easy to write him badly. Most of the good stories don't really focus on his strength but his character. I will say most people who hate Superman assume they know what he is (or are an Edgelord and can't handle the idea of a fictional character trying to be a decent person), or that he's boring because he's so OP. Though even in his universe there's still plenty of characters stronger than Superman. I wouldn't call anything about Superman characters lazy, especially in today's world.
@Dragonite89 Yeah but you're also missing out on a lot of other details that get lost when you're playing on something that's not a CRT. A lot of effects were done intending that you were playing on a CRT. That and there's always going to be a difference in responsiveness.
@Chunkboi79
The irony of how that word is used now...
Edit: It's kinda like how in the Mario movie, Donkey Kong was trying to embarrass Mario by pointing out how embarrassing he was but that just made DK look like he was trying too hard to look cool and made him the embarrassing one.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I think the wraiths might have something to do with humans. Always found it weird how the Water Wraith has some Flintstones looking wheels.
I think something is causing the crashes because they happen way to often and it doesn't seem like they happen anywhere else. It would make Olimar look incompetent.
Also I never trusted Louie. I don't think he's ever done anything that wasn't selfish.

I had to find Hinox guts for my armor. I fought like 10 Hinox and only got like 1 guts... and I said... man this isn't fun anymore... there's plenty to do in the game. But grinding for rare parts that are needed in large quantities ain't it for me.
@Ogbert I don't wanna be that guy but most games are rushed out with "cut content". We had chunks of stuff missing or not implemented in older games. The difference now is that they can still put that stuff post game launch via patches or DLC. Yeah I know there's companies that purposely remove content to resell it later or add it after (not defending this practice) but... This delusion that games were always "complete" is a bit silly. We didn't really have access to information back then as we do now. Stuff was cut all the time, we just never realized it. Or those few examples where you'd see stuff in Nintendo Power not make it until the final build. There's a ton of stuff missing/not implemented/glitches/moves that outright don't work in the original Pokemon games.
I'm just glad I'm not the only one to see it multiple times lol. And I've never done this before with any movie. But can't say I'm not biased since it's my favorite video game franchise.
@Thief I thought they were calling you names but your name really is Thief lol.
Anyhow about piracy, I don't care if people do it but don't say it's not stealing (inb4 semantics) just because it's not available anywhere atm even though the remake is right here but.. I guess that goes against the morals you set up for yourself so you don't feel bad for playing games you didn't pay for. That argument never held any water anyways. Then there's the games being put on the NSO. It's not currently on the service but Link's Awakening Remake didn't stop the original from being put on NSO. You can download the roms but legally you were never suppose to have access to them in the first place. And I doubt many people actually made a backup by actually dumping the rom from the cartridge.
"Why pay $60 when I can essentially get the same game for free?"
Read that very slowly as many times as it takes for that to sink in.
This isn't a argument either, especially since I sometimes post once in a blue moon on here and disappear for a good while.
None, I wish they used the blue pig Ganon more. I always liked the art from I think... it might have been from A Link to the Past where you can see how much bigger he is thank Link and hiding behind a pillar.

I think this weird crush Bowser has works better without explaining too much about it. Especially an unhealthy one such as this one. That's what makes everything so awkward and weird with them. They kinda already hinted at what their history was with how she would reject him but that made him like her even more.
@AstroTheGamosian Did you write this somewhere else? I feel like I read this exact post before. Or maybe I just read it yesterday... and didn't realize...
Anyhow yeah that would have been cool to give everyone more moments (I just want more in general) but at the same time I like leaving stuff to the imagination. I know someone said they talked about Mario having issues with his dad and they didn't really show much on screen of their relationship but I mean I got enough of what was implied. Like ok I get it that Mario history with is dad. I don't really need to know any specifics beyond that.
I've been listening/reading to a lot of mythology and short stories and sometimes you don't really need much for the person to start forming and connecting things in their head.
Maybe it's just a me and my perspective but I still imagine stuff that's not actually on screen. You can tell an entertaining story telling a couple details and have the person fill in the gaps.
As for Bowser... he was in love with her... on top of being unstable mentality. Even the Koopas were kinda confused and surprised with his goal for stealing the star.
@nocdaes I still love Monopoly. One of my favorite basic board games. Edit: I also can't think of many other games that played like Monopoly though that had properties and stuff. Yeah there a lot of games where you race around the board but can't think of many that actually play like Monopoly. Then there's like the negotiation aspect with it and forming partnerships with people to take on the common enemy only for that guy to stab you in the back...
Just beat it... love this game. If you liked World or the V-Pets this is fun. Idk if it's because I played on the easiest difficulty but I didn't need to grind much and I did about maybe 5-6 generations of Digimon (death and rebirth). Didn't really feel like a chore since there a lot of things that certain low level Digimon can do. If I wasn't strong enough I'd go recruit, when I was in a high strong level I would do missions to push the story forward. There's never really a point where you aren't making any progress.
@LeJuiceCup It just feels a bit unfair sometimes... I know a review is just someone's opinion, no game is for everyone but I feel like some games just have a certain audience that doesn't really appeal to a majority of the people but to the people it does appeal to it might do what it does very well.
An example with the actual Digimon LCD V-Pets. They still make/sell them. The niche that enjoys that really enjoys it, myself included. I know it's not something that appeals to a lot of people anymore but... is that enough reason to say it's bad? I guess that's why there's multiple reviews/reviewers but I feel like there's a small hive mentality that certain people have we're they'll just make up their mind from one review/article and that's that. A lot of people may have missed something they would have really enjoyed.
@MajorTom "The reviews of this site seem to be more and more clickbait. Nintendo Life often seems to have the lowest scores if it is a bit niche and not published by Nintendo and often the highest if it is."
Hell I felt this like about a couple years ago when they bad mouth'd this specific indie 3DS game that I won't mention and it seemed they bad mouth'd every game by the developer for some reason. Half the review was just tasteless jokes at the developer's expense. Which is why I stopped coming as often as I did.
I understand that V-Pet simulators aren't everyone's thing but this review lacks some things that I feel like they didn't really get that far into the game or look far into it beyond the surface level since I see no mention of (redacted to see if the reviewer actually played the game) because it really is a big part of the game and is not once mentioned in the review.
@ChakraStomps Is she known for that or something? Honestly I haven't been here as often as I have like 8 years ago. I just come in for specific reviews or if there's nothing going on I check out the news.

@ATaco I liked the Friends of Mineral Town remake more than Harvest Moon. Well finally someone said it but I agree that the graphics in Stardew are kinda ugly. The cows look so skinny.
I keep forgetting the combat/mines stuff is in Stardew but honestly that's the most boring part of the game for it. The combat isn't fun. I guess that's why I never bothered to play the Rune Factory series apart from the character designs.
It's the characters in Stardew that I really do not care for at all. Half the drive for me in these Harvest Moon games is to do things for the characters. So if I don't care about the characters, half my motivation is gone.
I can't tell you specifically what's wrong with them though. I just find get bored very easily with that game. Doesn't help that I hate the fishing though.
