Having just positions and percentages really makes this tough to read, especially since Generations Pack is separated. That makes the 4% on S2 very misleading. But how big is the gap between 1 and 3. That's the question nobody (here) has the answer to.

Does Eternal Life of Goldman qualify? Probably not, but I really want a release date for that one.

Well.. I can't seem to catch a break to actually use the Switch 2, as my son is absolutely loving RE: Requiem, so I'm going to finish up Neversong which is a creepy little platformer. Some say metroidvania, but it's not. I finished Mable and the Wood last weekend, but there are multiple endings, none of which on Youtube, so I'm debating.

Also playing Root Film which is a real solid VN. And on PS5 (because library didn't have the Switch version) I'm playing Hercule Poirot: The London Case. Really enjoying these games overall.

I'm going to pick up my physical RE: Generations pack in about an hr.

Fallout 4 probably later in a sale.

The New 3DS is amazing. It just feels... perfect.

This trailer looks 10X better than it did in the partner direct. Very interested.

So last weekend I did end up playing Darwin's Paradox demo and it was... disappointing? Maybe it's better on the TV but I found in handheld I was just having issues figuring out what to do. It looks great, though.

What am I playing? Well - my wife decided she's using the Switch 2 to play Luigi's Mansion 2, so I'm downgrading to our original Switch. Decided to continue Mable and the Wood which I'd played a whole 16 minutes of prior. It's a metroidvania with a strange shapeshifting mechanic. It has some major issues, so I wouldn't recommend, but I'm gonna keep going.

If I can get the Switch 2 back, I'll also continue my read of Root Film which I'm really enjoying. And a far superior metroidvania in Hollow Knight - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. It just astounds me how good the game is, after I decided to FINALLY give it a shot.

Got RE: Generations Pack on preorder, but I don't know if I'll get to play it. The son wants to get a shot, so I may get booted from the S2 next weekend again.

@Yalloo Enjoy Alter Bridge!!! They're on my list of bands I really want to see. Should've seen them last tour with Mammoth. Oh well.

I'm seeing Nothing More on Tuesday. Can't wait, I think it's my 6th time seeing them.

Last week I finally started playing Hollow Knight - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. I had it in the backlog. I've played for a couple hours, and it really is fun.

Also started Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. Never played the original, but i did play Final Fantasy Tactics Advance back in the day and fell in love. It's a really pretty game, but I wish some stuff was explained better. It really makes me miss manuals.

Finally - went back to my playthrough of Root Film. It's a Visual Novel about murders happening. It's fun, and a good way to take a break from the other 2 games.

Also - going to try out the demo for Darwin's Paradox. The trailer has me intrigued, i love unique 2D platformers.

@Cakefish From the review: Reanimal is fully playable in single-player, which pairs you with an AI companion, but it supports local and online co-op with GameShare, too.

@Cakefish I don't know if you need a friend pass, since you can use Gameshare.

I started the demo for Back to the Dawn last night. It's a really fun management sim type game. Not usually my genre, but had no idea what to expect when I dled the demo.

I'm wrapping up Bramble: The Mountain King, should finish it tonight. I didn't know what to play next, and then Hollow Knight Switch 2 edition dropped in the direct, free update - so time to pull that out of the backlog. I think it's the first time ever I'm playing something that a lot of other people are playing.

I also finished The Touryst Deluxe this week. it was fun, but it's really short. The vibe is great, the adventuring is fine, but when you need to platform - ugh.

Pragmata demo was also fun and can't wait for the game to drop!

Wow, that demo was fun. I wasn't sure how well the game would play with the two protagonists, but it becomes pretty intuitive. If you're on the fence give the demo a try.

I finished Hercule Poirot The First Cases this morning, and absolutely loved the story. Gameplay is mostly connecting dots to make deductions and progress the story, but the story is enthralling.

I then started Bramble. I got 5 minutes in.

And The Touryst Deluxe. The vibe of this game is just fun. I'm about an hour in and really enjoying it.

Demo is great. Crossover implies to me that Silent Hill f for S2 is soon to follow.

Ok, it's not for me, but this is great news for the Switch, as it means 2K25 sold well enough to greenlight the 2k26 version.

@larryisaman I think the difference is Nintendo sees Sony as more of a challenge in its space. I think they likely have dev kits now, but didn't want to give them pre-launch.

Microsoft they were less concerned with because Microsoft has clearly given up on the hardware side.

Gotta be Nintendo didn't want to give Sony dev kits. A shame, really.

What happened that FC 26 fell so hard? That seems weird.

This past week finished up Agatha Christie the ABC Murders on switch (really enjoyable mystery game) and Blossom Tales (exactly the Zelda like I was looking for).

Now I've started on Hercule Poirot The First Cases and it plays entirely differently, but think i still like it. Then I have Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania for when someone else wants the switch 2 and Rune Factory 4 on 3ds.

I'll wait for a sale on the upgrade path then pick it up. I don't buy Amiibo, but if I did... Captain Toad.

Damn... May give me an excuse to drop by and see if the sale is still on.

@CANOEberry My only point with the Mall stores is just that they are clearly centralizing to a handful of locations they consider their best.

@IceEarthGuard How much was Metroid?? I didn't see that sale. When was this?

@Maple While that may be true, the locations left in the GTA are a handful of mall stores. I work retail too, and I've seen similar things happen with lots of stores closing.

@rvcolem1 When you have a family of 6, and somebody else is using the TV to watch endless brainrot Youtube videos, Gameshare is a lovely little feature to allow local play.

Same happened in Canada. Drove by my local EB this past week only to find it had closed. I just got a bunch of great deals on boxing day, so doesn't look like they did any closing deals, which is a shame.

@Toshiro_Baloney I played Split Fiction and the Reanimal demo via gameshare (locally) and had a blast with both.

I was super disappointed New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe didn't get Gameshare support when they updated it.

After finishing Piczle Colors (meh - Piczle Lines is way better) and Another Sight (really let down by this one) I continue my way through Blossom Tales (this is REALLY fun) and I want to pick back up with The ABC Murders on Switch.

Also - played the Reanimal demo this week. Now looking forward to the game.

I'll have to check when I get home, but I got this for my 12 yr old, no nostalgia there, he just wanted it.

Started Melon Journey: Bittersweet Memories last night and it's a cute adventure game.

Also working through Enslaved: Odyssey to the West on PS Plus through PS3 streaming and am REALLY enjoying it.

Finally - started Tractile on DSiWare. Not sure how I feel about that one yet.

And forgot Syphon Filter. The original. That is... taking some getting used to.

@nhSnork I did this crazy thing called - not complain about a free game, tried it out, and then gave an opinion which was fair. Shocking stuff on the internet.

@Kiz3000 Very impressed with the call on length. My playtime was 1:04.

So... I just ran through Jamjam and.... it's... a platformer. And can be fun for about 30 minutes. But, it's clearly unfinished. It gets to level 22 and then just... stops. Tells you to try other modes that don't exist. Bleh.

@obijuankanoobie I bought Wii games on the Wiishop and haven't lost them. Can I play them on the Switch? No, but that's a hardware thing. Same way I can't play PS3 downloaded games on my PS5. But I can play them on my PS3 (and re-download them).

If steam games are incompatible with current hardware they won't work either. It's pretty simple stuff.

I can't believe so many of these games won't be on Switch 2. Is this just due to Nintendo not getting dev kits out on time? Or publishers and devs not pushing the hardware?

I can now leave my sealed copy sealed and play the game.

@Suketoudara Rocket: Robot on Wheels is fantastic. It's made by Sucker Punch (if I recall correctly), so I don't know if there are any licensing issues.

Can it be a free upgrade from the physical? Or is it only an upgrade for anniversary edition?

didn't say I was going to play. It takes less than a minute to download that day's game. If there's nothing I'm interested in I've wasted 10 minutes on redeeming games I'll never play.

I'll get the games just in case one of the few that are interesting are added. There's no downside.

@FragRed This was my thought immediately. What does this mean for movie theatres? Will WB movies not be in theatres anymore? Or will they just keep them as separate brands? Theatre under WB, straight to streaming Netflix?

I thought the demo was removed from the eshop.

This is the first week of the reduced price, Japanese only PS5. Let's see what happens in the next couple weeks. Same story happened week one of the PS5 pro.
