@Saro Can't be done unfortunately, the merchandising arm of the Pokémon company can't allow for it as they need new material for the manga/anime/toys/movies etc etc. Honestly, the best things I think Gamefreak could do is either a) massively increase their workforce/outsource much more of the development of the games to outside studios and developers or b) hold their hands up, admit their hearts aren't really in it anymore and let someone else develop the mainline Pokémon games. If they've got rights to it or whatever they can always be sold for literally disgusting amounts of money so it's not like it's totally unfeasible for them to let it go.

She did a similar thing on my Master Sword statue at MCM a year or two ago. She writes it pretty fluently, and she's a super nice lady I adored her in BotW so it was very cool to get to meet her.

@Heavyarms55 With the utmost respect, I totally disagree. It used to be the case that you buy the game and play the game. That was it. Now there's another way; the base game is free, and you can pay for optional cosmetics that have absolutely no bearing on the gameplay. This is how to do it right. I have mountains of stuff, been playing for ages and I've never spent a penny on Fortnite. EDIT: And I feel like I'm getting away with daylight robbery 😂

The occasion when it grinds my gears is when they make you pay for the game and have already thrown in a load of paid content. That's what's not cricket. An expansion pack I can get behind, provided the base game is good value for money. But if they make the game and then after the fact lock half of it behind a paywall, or develop a bunch of cosmetics, in effect making you pay twice, then I'm not touching it with a barge pole.

I'm a raging, card carrying #bringbacknationaldex dude, but I can appreciate some wholesome stuff when it pops up ♥️

I can't understand why anyone would waste precious gaming hours on FIFA on any platform, but to each their own I suppose.

Not touching them until my grass type squad get their travel visas to Galar.

Alas, I completed my Zelda Amiibo collection long ago. Just waiting on my LA preorder from Amazon and I shall once more have a complete collection. I really hope we get new ones for BotW2. Some Cadence ones would have been nice, but then again the shelf is starting to groan 😅

Er, hold up a sec, there's some spin going on here. Those tweets valued at 0 on the sentiment chart are the ones that didn't display emotional indicators? And the ones that only use the hashtag are lumped into that? What do you think the sentiment behind the hashtag is? I smell a rather large flaw in the interpretation of the data.

The other consoles will probably crowd Ninty out next year, but considering what a darling BotW was in the media, if they come out with a BotW2 trailer to rival the 2017 BotW trailer... Who knows? I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Christmas next year for a release window.

At E3 there's the stuff you know that's gonna be shown, the stuff that you're pretty sure is gonna be shown and then there's the "this is stupid, why do I continue to hurt myself" stuff that you know won't be shown but a little voice in your head keeps telling you that it will. That was the BotW sequel for me, and I'm in agony not knowing when we're going to find out more. Bring on the next direct, the next E3, the next anything that will give us news. I'll sit here internally screaming until then.

Too right. I'll probably be playing this for years after its release so a few months delay for the sake of the devs' well-being is fine by me

I don't think anyone would knock the quality of Nintendo's game design, but their online is just tragic. Splatoon is a masterpiece, but I can't choose when I play with or against my sister in Turf War. It's infuriating.

When I was about 14 or so I had a friend, and we would go on to argue over who would win in a fight between Samus and the Master Chief for the better part of five years. This question was never answered definitively as they are both so god damn awesome. So for the good of my fourteen year old self, GIVE ME THE CHIEF.

So long as we can party up on Switch with Xbone and PS4 players who you're friends with then I'm easy going. I'm not fussed about strangers, but me and a whole bunch of people I play with do crossplay all the time. I have two TV's in my living room, two Xbones AND a Switch precisely for this reason. Three man squads in the living room make for awesome sessions.

@Prizm If you assume everything's clickbait, which most journalism is now, then you're never disappointed. And if it's not clickbait, then you're pleasantly surprised. And not getting wound up at internet articles Win win.

But let's look at the alternative; if you have a nonclickbaity article, fewer people click on it. You're ad space is immediately worth less money. Ad companies may well not pay enough to keep the given news outlet going. Obviously it's a little more complicated than that, but in essence, we're in this situation because people want their news free. If you're not willing to pay for it, they have to get revenue some other way in order to keep the thing afloat. Hence the clickbaity-ness of journalism these days.

So yeah, don't be mad, it is what it is, peace and love to you and have a great day x

@RainbowGazelle You're arguing against the wrong people here. The vast majority of people click on clickbait. You want someone to blame, blame people who click on clickbait titles. Nintendolife are only responding to market forces. You wouldn't blame a seaturtle for riding a gnarly ocean current, would you?

Zelda has real potential to be made into a fantastic series, if Nintendo ever allowed it. And if it were to be done, it should look like this. Bravo to the creators of this short, it looks absolutely stunning.

I've put hundreds of hours into this game on PC. At first it ran like horse manure, but over time the performance improved drastically. I got minor bugs here and there towards the end of my run, but overall it's an incredibly enjoyable experience.

More recently, I picked up the Xbone version to play with some friends. We had a lot of fun on that, but there is a noticable drop in performance. They didn't seem to notice much, but having had the afforementioned play time, I can't say it wasn't disappointing.

I shan't be picking up the switch version (unless I see it pop up crazy cheap at some point) but I will say that if they improve performance on this like they did the PC, perhaps in six months or a year or so it might be something worth picking up, perhaps during a summer dry spell or something. But yeah, if it runs even worse than the Xbone version, at least for now, I'd give it a dodge.

Right, the last few updates have been reported on in this manner. I would hereby like to go back to when the title was insanely clickbaity and the article kept teasing and misleading you into thinking something amazing was happening in the update. And then a stability joke. I miss it deeply and it was infuriatingly entertaining.

Maybe it's a larger metacomment on the current state of the debate around transgender issues? Or y'know, poor communication between localisation teams and a reflection of Nintendo's lack of concern with canonical consistency. But hey ho, it's not like it matters in the grand scheme of things.

Firewatch is a much better game of this genre in my opinion. If you've got steam, I'd recommend that over this. Gone Home was good but as others have mentioned, kind of fizzles out. Firewatch builds and builds and builds. I found it preferable.

@FarkyValentine It had a gay plotline. I mean don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the game and it's story, but it was a pretty standard point and click affair if you ask me. I have a feeling because it increased LGBT "representation" it got more credit than was warranted.

@Heavyarms55 I represent the devil pro bono, and I'm pretty sure the casual consumer barely pays attention to who actually creates the game in the first place. Like people who think Marvel and DC films are made by the same people, and get confused when they hear Marvel movies are made by Disney. I could be wrong, but that seems to be the case when I talk to people anyway.

Played this on the PC, very good if you like this sort of thing. Can strongly recommend

Intent is what matters here. If the intention is to give yourself an advantage others do not have, you're in the wrong. If you're breaking the rules to add weight to the community's demand for fairness, you cannot and should not be put in the same category. They're just not the same thing.
