During the Capcom Showcase earlier on, we got a look at a new trailer for the upcoming Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak DLC and the announcement of a free demo.
Included within this news was also a look at the DLC's roadmap for 2022 and beyond. Capcom has already outlined what hunters can expect in August. First up will be Lucent Nargacuga, along with the location, Forlorn Arena.
This will be followed by more rare species and subspecies monsters in Fall 2022, in another free title update. Beyond this - the Winter update for 2022 will include "several monsters" and moving into 2023, we can expect even more "free title updates".
Capcom also mentioned how it planned to keep hunters updated with "more information soon".
What do you think of the content en route to Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak? If you're curious to see what the fuss is all about, there'll also be a demo available later on:

thats quite a bit of content
I guess people complaining about this game will finally shut up?
I can dream.
One of those things I have no interest in myself but really hope it's good for the people who do.
What about the Amiibo?
Rares and sub species are good...but bringing in monsters from the previous MH games would still be better.
@IronMan30 wait! People are complaining about Monster Hunter Rise?
What are the complaints?
Fantastic to finally see Lucent Nargacuga return. Best subspecies ever.
@IronMan30 That will never happen, people keep complaining about "No content" when all they spend their lives on is playing games that weren't meant to be played 24/7.
Lucent Nargacuga?! This brings back so many happy hunting memories of MH3U, can't wait!
@Scrubicius the comment replying to me below you addressed it. People say there is "no content" for this game.
@Pillowpants MH is a endgame heavy series, Rise has no Endgame hence why people are annoyed at the lack of content.
@WallyWest
MH is also a series that is heavily into expansions/G/etc. Most of base MH games before the updates are scarce in content. Even base World if you separate the filler padding quests. Complaining about scarce content for a fresh MH base game that didn’t even get the free updates added yet let alone the giant expansions is redundant
I am so unbelievably hyped
@Arawn93 Base game of World i put into nearly 300 hours before Iceborne and base game of Gen was even more. Rise even by base game standards is very light on content and reasons to keep playing once you very easily get the build you wanted, there's not much challenge either and there's nothing to aim towards. Don't get me wrong its a great game but its one of my least favourite MH games and i actually spent more time with Stories 2 in the end.
@WallyWest for me base World was….50 hours at most not counting the infinite filler missions padding and dragged out unskippable story dialogue that pads out the playtime. Iceborne helped out World a lot just like Sunbreak will help Rise a lot.
@IronMan30 hmmm man I guess they missed the golden era of gaming. 😜
@Scrubicius oh, seriously... most people nowadays would go crazy if that became the norm again.
I hear you!
Me, personally, I wouldn’t mind it! Good times when you bought a game it was completed and you had to play the game to unlock items and such. It definitely seemed better offer.
