While we're on the subject of illnesses, influenza has already led to almost 15,000 deaths and over 200,000 hospitalizations in the US alone this flu season. Wash your hands and cough into your elbows, you filthy mongrels. I also know 3 folks that have received packages from Wuhan in the past 10 days via Amazon purchases.
@Profondo Just stay calm, you'll be fine. Also, novel Coronavirus is certainly not the 'worst global pandemic of recent times'.
I mean, Ninty already does their own events for Smash. So really, doesn't this translate to "Please support it with prize money"? I'm asking a genuine question, I don't understand how it would make a difference.
@Nekonokatzen Thanks for the correction! For some inane reason I thought I had seen a comparison against 1.06%. It was probably something else, because I remember the number sticking out.
@thesilverbrick To be fair, that’s a higher mortality rate than the Spanish Flu in 1918. But a counterpoint to that is modern medicine. Another counter(counter?)point to that is the hesitance to work with other country’s infectious disease teams. So it’s all a mess.
It makes sense that production is going to be affected, but hopefully it won’t cause too much lasting damage economically. Hopefully the virus is contained well enough that the 9-12 months for a vaccine doesn’t get worse.
@mazz Yeah, I was quoting the very next line Shin says. It’s the episode where he thinks he has to save Hima because Nonako is practicing her acting, he thinks she’s a mugger.
@First_Amendment You could troll better if you used correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar. Should’ve stayed with your old username, because the First Amendment includes Freedom of Speech, not Freidome if Spech
Consumer spending is up this holiday season, a year after it was down a bit. Retailers played it a little safe, Manufacturers played it a little safe. Demand outstripped supply.
This doesn’t equate to Nintendo dropping the Switch, folks. It’s simple supply and demand rules used with sales forecasts.
I finally played the multiplayer tonight when I got together with friends for our Christmas Dinner. It’s so much fun! I didn’t think I’d enjoy the scream park as much as I did.
@SwitchForce Another comment again without how to verify it. Also how does anyone on here know how they were treading the article before hand. I can guess none of those replying have "no" first hand.
@SmaggTheSmug Okay, I’ll admit that Hoenn Zig is cute. I’m a more basic trainer so it’s hard to get on with the more detailed and colorful pokes. It was hard enough using my Drunken Viking Sailor Meowth evo in a gym, haha. Wait!! We can’t have a rational discourse here! THIS IS POKEYMANS!! Everything we say is wrong!
January 2018; Mario Odyssey Top Five: Fire Emblem 3H, Pic-a-Pix Pieces, Asphalt 9, ACIII, BotW 2019: 1,117 Hours, 117 games Top month is September at 123 hours. Lowest is December at 49.
@alpacatears Doesn’t matter if the publication is based in Somewheristan, the local laws apply. The chance that folks may react to something in poor taste should never influence whether something is discussed or disseminated for public discourse, as well. Acting in that manner only allows for a select few (the deciders) to become the arbiters of what can and cannot be talked about in a society. People have always been awful, just as much as people have always been great.
@alpacatears This isn’t an active proceeding, the trial hasn’t even started. This is information from the arrest and bond hearing, which is all public record. Also, all trials can be reported on in the US. The only information not open is grand jury, which does not even involve a trial.
I prefer the magical unicorn Rapidash now to its original form. Zigzagoon can still stay in the bushes, far away from me. Both forms look like a rabid raccoon that needs a wash.
Well at least Jar Jar can take time off from being the dead horse now. I'm saving all my fanbase outrage for when the Robotech and Mass Effect movies are finally a thing, though.
@SuperWeird If you remember, lemme know how you like it. It sounds fun, but the non-VR thing has me on the fence. I got the Amateur Surgery game and it definitely feels like it was better in VR instead of plain controls. Give the game Pool Party a look if you haven’t already. I had fun with it for awhile
I read hardly anything about the game before it came out. Then I read a review and decided to think about it. Then I bought it. Now I’m enjoying it. I’m not a lawyer or moral pillar, but this seems silly to me. The folks that were leaking and reading leaks already likely made up their minds before the info.
@rjejr Exactly. People thinking this has something to do with a singular project truly don’t understand how a business works. You don’t employ 800 people for one project at a time. If you do, this is what happens. You have to constantly market your business to drum up projects so there’s always something in the pipeline, while managing expenses against income. This is the same reason it takes years for a small business to become sustainably profitable.
This is great stuff. I remember my mom being in the hospital when I was young and the children’s area had an NES set up. In retrospect, it’s a nice thing that kids could still be kids for a few moments while serious things go on around them.
Wild supposition! Anti-capitalism rhetoric! Poor comprehension of market sustainability!
I think I’ve got the comment section covered now, folks. Hope those affected can find continuation of work in their skill set, though. Or even get some change if they desire.
@Patron Some folks seem to think this is a joke troll or satire account. But even those are moderately amusing. This isn’t. It’s just the same boring shtick. Today’s didn’t even meet the normal threshold.

@Silly_G Very true. And clean water. Though I did get dysentery as a child. West Virginia mountains are no joke.

@Rodan2000 Agreed. Those older sets were cool, too. My faves were probably the Town Hospital and Underwater Base. Oh, and the Pirate series!!

I’d like the feature that gets gamers to stop encouraging half-measure mid-gen console versions.

Re: The Wacky World Of Crayon Shinchan Arrives On Switch With Surprise North American Launch
@mazz What does this dance have to do with anything??
Love the Funimation dub as well. $10 is quite a steep price for this standard-looking runner, though. And it’s just Crayon Shin Chan.
