The question we must ask: Does Nintendo read Reddit to get their ideas! ðŸ¤
It's a fascinating proposition for the time. Of course, it is possible for more than one person to conceive a similar idea.
@Spider-Kev Agree. It's not really a prediction. Just like "leak" is often misused for rumour and speculation, we're in a world of exaggerating a situation to get attention. "Proposed", not "predicted", is more accurate.
@RasandeRose Define "everyone". If you're referring to games media, then, yes, everyone seems to own a Steam Deck. For the regular person on the street, I doubt they could identify a Steam Deck as something not in a Steam House.
The Steam Deck will always be a niche product because it's so expensive and primarily appeals to a niche group of people. Casual and mainstream players will stick to regular consoles, while PC gamers will play on their PC!
The device itself is a bit clunky, both the hardware and software. It's big and the battery life is terrible, while there's compatibility and/or performance issues with games. Most of my Steam library is quite old and only 10% is supported by the Steam Deck.
In time, much of its issues will be remedied, notably with a Steam Deck 2 and a refined UI, and more games will work without hassle. If there's a big convergence with the proposed Xbox handheld (all these devices run a version of Windows OS like the Xbox), and the prices reduce, then we will have a compelling alternative for handheld gaming.
@SillyG Thinking about it, a colour variant is most likely as per the Switch launch.
I also agree the announcement video in January was to end the crazy rumour cycle, and plant a date for the full reveal, potentially of different models.
@SillyG An SKU (a product code) could be any variant, including colours. A model is a Lite or OLED, for example. Games media are poisoning our minds by using the term wrong.
I agree with your comment, I'm just not sure if it's the SKU or model part! ðŸ¤ðŸ’¯
I can't see it over $400, especially after Nintendo's recent comments of keeping it affordable and with overall inflation in mind, which affects disposable income. There's virtually no direct inflation on electronic goods, and ignore the tariff scare. Japan, especially electronic goods, are not the target of those. Tariffs hit the importer, not the consumer, so smaller ones get absorbed anyway. If rumours are true of no OLED screen, cost impediments are further restrained. The LCD Switch only sells for $300 now because people are buying it. It no doubt costs much less to produce these days and could be sold at $250 and maintain the original profit margin. Therefore, $350 from $250 is a big jump in price. $350 is definitely feasible even if I think Nintendo will go for an intermediate figure of $370.

If you're worried about supporting billionaire owners, visit NL directly! You get a better overview rather than rely on an algorithm anyway. Infiltrate the Air Fortress and destroy it from within!
@KingMike Ping!
I vaguely recall the sixth fortress as being so tough. After destroying all eight, there was another eight to do. I can't remember the story behind that. I recall them not as tough. Perhaps the approaches were more difficult. I still own my original copy and it's one title I would never sell, even if I sold the rest of my NES collection.
Good to see the majority want the option to buy games, not be submitted into a subscription model. Almost 100 million Switch users aren't presently subscribed so it does make you wonder how much extra money Nintendo are losing by denying the option to buy games.
As to 3DS games that could be converted to the Switch 2, Metroid Samus Returns was my choice. I could not think of too many others specifically I wanted, with Star Fox 64 3D the other option. With Metroid, it could benefit the most from a remaster. Star Fox really needs a new game, even if it's mostly remaking levels from older games. Give us a Star Fox without the crap from the GameCube and WU, I say! By crap, I mean lame levels on foot or in walking vehicles, and weird controls.
@Skunkfish Are you serious? So you can own it forever! Read the comments. People have made the calculation that they prefer to buy a few games than subscribe in perpetuity! After 5 years, you paid $100! Almost double that for N64 games.
Other people resent the model. You don't. Good for you. Again, we're not talking about you! The topic is how much EXTRA Nintendo might earn if they offered CHOICE. Ultimately I got an idea when learning 100 million users are not subscribers. Potential it's a lot.
@Skunkfish We're not talking about you. We're talking about individuals that are clearly stating they would like a CHOICE to buy games. If you're happy to pay a subscription every year in perpetuity to retain access, all power to you. I raised the question of how much EXTRA could Nintendo be missing. That's it! Derailing the topic with a personal anecdote doesn't address that question.
Initial rumours were Nintendo would release a few games each month for a limited time. If you feel extra satisfied that never happen, all power to you. Again, an obfuscation of the topic.
Here's a hypothetical for you. Recently Nintendo announced 129m Switch users. Subscribers are just over 30m. So, 100m don't subscribe. If 100m people bought just one retro game for $10, that's another $1 billion to Nintendo. Bang!
@Skunkfish We're not talking about cancelling NSO. 🙄 The question is how much EXTRA are Nintendo potentially missing. For instance, would selling games earn more revenue than the potential loss of subscribers? I can only speak for myself and say it's a categorical Yes. There's also many comments here stating no interest in NSO and would definitely buy games.
It's tricky to know with the basic subscription because it offers more than retro games. I resumed mine for F-Zero 99, for example. The expansion, with N64, GBA, etc, I bet there's a decent chunk of lost revenue.
Nintendo are so stubborn, that's the problem. From Capcom's perspective, the Virtual Console would make it easier to sell their games because everything is one spot. Whereas now, Capcom games are in the general store along with all the other riff-raff.
I wonder how much Nintendo loses from their ridiculous and restrictive subscription model? I would definitely buy several games whereas, now, I mostly boycott their service. Occasionally I'm in on the basic subscription, and that's it. The premium one, no way. From me, Nintendo are losing. It depends whether enough others make up the difference.
All these are quick fixes and most are quite trivial. Don't think Nintendo is investing huge amounts of time in F-Zero 99 or it's someone's huge "labour of love". A bug gets reported, it's quickly fixed, and an update is periodically released. Fairly standard practice. I'm more curious when we see Ace League Mirror or other new content.
I'm also pleased to announce I've finally won a regular 99 race and two League cups. After so many second places (about 20), it was destined to happen. Sand Storm 2 was the course about 2 months ago, and last week was Mute City Mirror. I won the Queen League (tied for first) 2 weeks ago and followed up with Queen League Mirror about a week later. In contrast to QL, in which I won no races, in QLM I was second in race 1 and won the next four. In the final race of QL, I raced conservatively in second spot because my main rival was behind me and I wanted to ensure I won the cup, even if a tie, rather than risk an error trying to win the race. I did lead for a few seconds on the final lap before letting it go.
A downgrade would only be a mild disappointment. I'm more interested in the games. We've known in our minds for years that the successor would be a Switch 2 concept and the announcement video in January confirmed the obvious. Even with the full reveal coming in April, I still think more about the games. Heck, I care more about Metroid Prime 4 than the Switch 2 at the moment. If Nintendo confirm the screen is LCD and looks excellent, then I'm fine with that. I'm even fine if a separate model is released that features OLED, and I would get that.
Edit:
@SurprisedRobinChu After the historical failure of all the Switch Pro rumours and the resultant embarrassment on media pushing it, do really believe Nintendo will introduce the Pro concept for Switch 2? It's not happening. Everyone needs to let go the Switch Pro fantasy. The Switch Pro is dead. It was never alive! Nor will it ever be.
@Dan420 "No plans" is politicians' speak. No direct quote for that anyway, and the article extrapolates the rest ("so customers shouldn't expect a price drop after the Switch 2 eventually releases"). All moot because Nintendo would run their usual promotions or can "change their plan".
That Nintendo reiterate they want to keep the Switch 2 affordable as "consumers expect" is the most encouraging sign. Inflation relates to Nintendo conscious of less disposable income these days, not as a price impact itself. The weaker yen might be an influence.
The biggest variable really is Nintendo's mindset. If they want it $350, they could do it, especially if LCD. Gouging is improbable given their history. If the Costco source is accurate, then $370 potentially and no more than $400.
@Dan420 All that could be true, which is why I nominated $370 as a potential price. Just $20 more than the current Switch OLED, gee, I might rush out and get one!
Also consider the OLED could be profitable at $300 due to cost reduction over the years. If the LCD rumours are true, the Switch 2 price comparison is against the regular Switch of $300 anyway, making the Switch 2 at $350 feasible.
We're in 2025 now, so no need to speculate about inflation. Nintendo didn't increase prices so we use those figures now. I notice many games media talk about inflation like it's a broad effect. No, it varies. Food, gasoline, energy and housing are the big contributors. Electronics are negligible since 2022. In 2021 there was a small bump due to supply chain problems.
I don't recall reading Nintendo said they wouldn't reduce the Switch price after the Switch 2 is released. I'll take your word there and note that while Nintendo rarely drop the official RRP of a system, they frequently run promotions. I see the OLED often at 25% off now. If the Switch OLED does sit around officially at $350 to make the Switch 2 look an enticing purchase, it will be crunched at times to shift units.
Note, these are scenarios to validate a potential price around $350 to $370. The one value we don't know is Nintendo's mindset!
Interesting that no one is making the "coming soon" connection to Metroid Prime 4 potentially coming soon, or 20 February being the preorder date for the figure is also the most logical day for the usual mid February Direct. ðŸ¤
I've thought $350 USD the appropriate price for the Switch 2. That's the current price for the Switch OLED, and if rumours are true of the Switch 2 reverting to LCD, that gives Nintendo the necessary profit margin to sell the Switch 2 at an affordable price. Perhaps $370 for a slightly weird number. That $350 range so it's under $500 CAD, under 400 EUR and under $600 AUD. Affordability is their mantra and I can't see it over $400 USD as I see some foolishly believe. Primarily on the back of the ludicrously priced and irrelevant PS5 Pro, they believe the Switch 2 will be $500 USD.
@Zyph Joycons are included as part of the package. I'm thinking of a scenario that someone primarily plays at their desk and so a regular mouse would be useful. You can connect a keyboard to the Switch already, and a mouse with an adapter to play things like Fortnite. If the Switch 2 has native mouse support via a joycon, then why not an actual mouse? Not saying it definitely will, only that it's possible!
I believe it. The Switch 2 is obviously already in production and there's at least another 4 months to go before release.
I like the idea from some comments of tying the initial launch to Nintendo accounts. It seems Nintendo is going for the swamp approach anyway: manufacture enough to easily meet demand.
I'm here to again say Castleroid is the better alternate term, while Metvania should be the current term. Portmanteaus should be a combination of partial words if possible. Exceptions are single syllable words used.
Of the two games added to this list, Blade Chimera looks most interesting. I will keep it on my radar.
Metroid Prime 4 initially had a vague "2025" release date, and late last year got a "coming soon" label. Not sure if that's still active or subsequently removed.
I don't take much stock in these reports because they're meant to be a broad outline of the year, so 2025 could mean next month as much as it could mean September. I would not think beyond September because that really limits sales for the year.
Only MP4 is of interest to me of these games mentioned. Of huge interest!
People would still keep buying the Switch over the Switch 2 because it will be notably cheaper (especially if it's discounted) and for the massive library of games. Second or third units could be bought by a household, or even an enthusiast might buy a spare. I actually bought a spare PS4 about 6 months ago for dirt cheap. I still own my original Switch and an OLED, so unlikely I'll buy a spare myself.
I've always thought around September for a Switch 2 launch based on the release schedule of Switch games. I figured the full Switch 2 reveal would be in June, and since it's two months earlier in April, late summer could be the release time, so I answered that. I could see a June release while Oct/Nov is simply too late. Again, look at the game schedule. Only Metroid Prime 4 is hanging, so its release date, if we learn it in the usual mid February Direct, will predict the Switch 2 timing.
Nintendo would also want strong sales momentum through the year, starting with the sales surge on release one and then build to the holiday surges late in the year.
The 3DS was initially set at a ridiculously high price and was selling poorly. Once the inevitable happened and the price dropped, sales started to escalate. That's when I launched, with most of my friends following once the XL model arrived. Not sure why Sony would think Nintendo would compete at the same price point as the technologically superior Vita. Obviously MH4 really helped kick 3DS along in Japan. I got hooked into Star Fox 64 3D!
I'd be stunned if Nintendo go bigger with the cases. I took a screen shot just in case I need to add to the list of fake Switch "leaks" and rumours over the years. My phone is almost out of memory! 🤣
Given it's 8 years since the Switch, I can't imagine anything not 1080p at 60 fps on the Switch 2. 4k would be offered for less taxing games. For all the jargon mentioned, it's probably best to wait until April for Nintendo to tell us directly the level of output.
Edit:
@SoIDecidedTo The Switch Pro itself was a wild rumour. Anything it might do was complete speculation.
While the Sega 32X would like to say Hi, fat chance of a separate power boost.
Eight is the perfect number for the best balance between racing and chaos. Sometimes I even think four is sufficient. 24 will be ridiculous if it's traditional racing. The course shown is much more expansive than normal so I suspect it's a separate mode or entirely different game.
@Slain Probably the Direct on 2 April was meant to be the first look, not just the main reveal. The trailer we got now was just a tease and a reveal date merely to shut down the absurd rumour mill. Nintendo never promised anything more themselves, so believing in the fake leaks was the problem. I personally never accepted this one - that it would be a full reveal. Nintendo typically tease, reveal and release. This was step 1.
@Lord Ping! I could ping half the people in these comments. 🤗
@FredsBodyDouble This teaser trailer was never meant to be the full reveal. That's 2 April. This trailer was designed to shut down the absurd rumours. It's sad that so many people got duped by the fake leaks, so I suggest only to trust official sources in future.
Of course, a Switch 2 would look much like a Switch. What did you expect? Did you really think Nintendo would stray far from its ultra successful formula? 🤔
This wasn't a reveal. That is set for 2 April. This was a tease and a reveal date, probably released a month or so earlier than planned, and was designed to shut down the absurd rumour mill. Anyone disappointed or underwhelmed can only blame themselves for believing the fake leaks. Fact is, Nintendo themselves NEVER promised such a reveal for this day. In fact, their only promise was from the middle of last year when their president said they will "make an announcement about the Switch successor" by the end of March 2025. This teaser trailer was it! Next time, only trust official sources for information.
No surprise that I answered Zero Effect. I've constantly warned in these pages that people and, worse, the gaming media are exaggerating Nintendo's comments, if not being deliberately deceptive to get clicks. While NL has been one of the more sensible outlets and always suggested scepticism to the vast array of fake leaks and rumours way back to the Switch Pro fantasy, even they got duped this time. The fact that Switch games are still to come, including Metroid Prime 4, tells you directly the Switch 2 is some months away, meaning a full reveal would not be this early. We've also known for years a Switch 2 was likely next, so that it looks like a Switch should not be surprise, nor damage its chances. Probably the most important information most of us really want to know about the Switch 2 is the release date. That it's bigger, and nicer, and more powerful, we all expected that.
It looks like a bunch of new tracks to be added into a Mario Kart 8 Ultimate on launch. 🤣
It's difficult to tell if current generation or not because of the cartoon appearance leads to flat colours and shading. I suspect it is MK9 and likely released a few months after launch. Why? Because Nintendo always hold MK back little.
Anyone feeling underwhelmed should next time not believe the fake leaks, sordid rumours and wild speculation. Nintendo never promised any such reveal, only some sort of announcement by end of March. The leakers got it wrong yet again. While they managed to find a date, they made false attributions to it, much like the last rumour proved to be the alarm clock and before that the Switch red box and OLED iterations would be the Switch Pro.
On 2 April is the actual reveal, and that was potentially Nintendo's plan for the first look. Before that a tease of some sort and a date for the reveal. The rumours pushed that out early and to include more footage than hoped. I said all along this would be exactly their path and roughly the time frame. Why? That's how Nintendo always do it, and they still have Switch games to release in 2025, notably Metroid Prime 4.
Remember, Nintendo always play safe on ultra successful systems. We would always get a Switch 2. Sit back, breathe, and wait until April for the real excitement.
This wasn't a reveal. The real reveal is 2 April. This was a tease and a reveal date set so to shut down the absurd rumours and wild speculation. In that context, I gave it a 10 for Outstanding. We got the basic form and a reveal date. That's all I wanted.
Furthermore, anyone believing this would be anything more should not be so gullible in believing the fake leaks. Nintendo NEVER promised any such reveal; only promising an announcement about the successor by the end of March. This tease was it. While it probably came a month or so earlier than hoped, they had no choice to go early.
@SillyG Nintendo never promised anything more than this video. They only said "an announcement about the successor" by end of March. The problem is that too many people believed the so-called "leaks". Most were ludicrous rumours or wild speculation. This tease is really just to shut that down, and potentially the April Direct was always meant to be the actual first look and reveal. It's only 2 days beyond the deadline and an "announcement" about it might have been just prior and within the fiscal year. Or, the Direct be a week earlier.
@Jack_Goetz Ping!
Actually, I could tag half the users in this comment for believing "leaks".
The problem with even the rare genuine "leak" is they are often incomplete so guess or predict the rest, and usually over do it. It happened with the last big rumour, which proved to be the alarm clock. Before that with the "Switch Pro" nonsense, they were false attributions of the red box and OLED iterations.
With anything online, don't believe it unless it's a direct and official source.
So, just a tease to quell the absurd rumour mill. Actual reveal not until 2 April. Note that the device looks nothing like some of the "leaks".
I'd like to reiterate I fully expected Nintendo to tease the device and announce a further date for a reveal, and its release was potentially in September. It looks like May could be the month. While I guessed the tease might come at the end of a Direct that we typically get in mid February, it seems Nintendo just wanted to get something out in the face of all the rumours. In hindsight, keeping them separate is better anyway, and the February Direct still might occur and fully reveal Metroid Prime 4. At least we can now breathe!
Sorry to be blunt, those two clowns are among the worst purveyors of promoting so-called "leaks". If Nintendo are very upset or mad at anything, it would be at them. Just earlier today, they uploaded a video of 100 minutes talking about the supposed reveal "today". They were convinced 2024 would see the Switch 2, too, despite Nintendo explicitly saying only an announcement by the end of March 2025.
Truth is, most of the "leaks" are rumours or wild speculation. Leaks must be direct, official sources or hard evidence, like a working system. Printing an object based on hearsay or touch is not a leak. If the information source is anonymous, then there must be corroborating sources.
To me, this is classic CYA by these two insufferables by deflecting attention away from their own wretched behaviour. With rare exceptions like NL, who don't spread every ludicrous rumour and always tell us to be sceptical about those they report, the entire gaming media has been an abomination. Nintendo will announce and reveal the damn thing when they deem fit, not be pressured into it by this rapacious conglomeration of attention seeking varmints.
Oh goodie. Another rumour to track and see if it comes true. So far 468 rumours on my list. 468 all proved wrong! The most recent one was a reveal on 8 January. I guess the objective now, if not all along, is fabricate enough rumours and one might stick. Even if there's some nugget of truth behind this latest rumour, Nintendo will probably delay it by weeks to make it wrong, if not Nintendo are deliberately trolling these "leakers" all along.
Obviously it's just a HD port, as the title implies, and in contrast to Metroid Prime Remastered. I own it on 3DS so it's a pointless purchase. I can't remember doing the blow while playing it. How interesting!
Why are some people saying this accessory means they believe the Switch 2 exists? Of course it exists! Nintendo haven't been twiddling their thumbs for 7 years. The questions we all want answered is its precise form and its release date. So far, all release date rumours have proved wrong, and we just had the rumoured Direct on 8 January 2025 not occur.
I'm surprised Nintendo would allow any "Nintendo Switch 2" accessory allowed for sale, unless the successor has a completely different name. Interesting that the listing advertises refunds if you "find any quality problems or unknown problems during the use of the product", so it looks like a speculative product. The controller is called N-Switch 2, curiously.
I'm still banking on the Direct normally in mid February to tease the successor and say "more to come soon". That Direct will be focused on the final Switch games, notably Metroid Prime 4: Beyond.
"With the official reveal now confirmed for sometime before 31st March 2025" - really? What's the source? All that I recall is Nintendo will "make an announcement about the Switch successor". That announcement could be just basic information and a date for a reveal. It could even be to announce it won't come until 2026. 🤣 Yes, that's unlikely, so please no one start an argument.
Even "The new Nintendo console will be announced 'this fiscal year'" written early in the article is a dubious read of Nintendo's tweet from mid last year. So many media outlets have been deliberately derelict in reporting it accurately in their headlines so to earn clicks, and that's led to so much confusion and misinformation out there. All I'm saying is don't expect a "reveal" because Nintendo never said that. They could do it. Just don't expect it.
To me, the biggest clue is "coming soon" recently added to the original and vague "2025" release of Metroid Prime 4. That suggests Nintendo are priming for a Metroid Prime 4 release around April and that will be the key focus of the usual Direct in mid February. At the end of the Direct will be a tease of the Switch 2 and a "summer 2025" reveal. Release would be around September.
Remember, I'm probably the number 1 "source" in the world that said the Switch Pro was a complete fantasy. Of course, I'm not a source. I'm simply someone that can look at Nintendo's history, watch their behaviour, and make logical and obvious extrapolations.

Occasionally I'm in on the basic subscription, and that's it. The premium one, no way. From me, Nintendo are losing. It depends whether enough others make up the difference.
Re: F-Zero 99 Has Been Updated To Version 1.5.6, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
Re: Poll: 10 Years On, Which Version Of Zelda: Majora's Mask Is Best?
It must be the 3D remake! Not even close. Better graphics and the modern refinements made Majora's Mask on 3DS more fun to play.
PS: Yes, I used "must" not "has to" because the word exists and it should be used more. ðŸ¤
Re: Talking Point: Why An LCD Screen Isn't The End Of The World For Switch 2
Re: Rumour: Placeholder Retail Listing Suggests Switch 2 Price Might Be Cheaper Than Expected
Re: Rumour: Placeholder Retail Listing Suggests Switch 2 Price Might Be Cheaper Than Expected
Re: Metroid Prime First 4 Figures Samus Phazon Suit Sneak Peek, Pre-Orders Open Soon
Interesting that no one is making the "coming soon" connection to Metroid Prime 4 potentially coming soon, or 20 February being the preorder date for the figure is also the most logical day for the usual mid February Direct. ðŸ¤
Re: Rumour: Placeholder Retail Listing Suggests Switch 2 Price Might Be Cheaper Than Expected
Re: New Nintendo Patent Seems To Confirm Mouse Functionality For Switch 2
@Zyph Joycons are included as part of the package. I'm thinking of a scenario that someone primarily plays at their desk and so a regular mouse would be useful. You can connect a keyboard to the Switch already, and a mouse with an adapter to play things like Fortnite. If the Switch 2 has native mouse support via a joycon, then why not an actual mouse? Not saying it definitely will, only that it's possible!
Re: New Nintendo Patent Seems To Confirm Mouse Functionality For Switch 2
@Zyph I'm guessing the Switch 2 will be fully compatible with a regular mouse! If playing at a desk, I would go that route.
For people using a TV, a book by your side on the couch would suffice. You could put a book or tray on your lap too.
@Kirgo Ping!
As with anything Nintendo, using a joycon as a mouse is an option, much like gyroscope controls. I doubt I'd ever use the mouse functionality.
Re: Nintendo Taking "All Possible Measures" To Combat Switch 2 Scalpers
I believe it. The Switch 2 is obviously already in production and there's at least another 4 months to go before release.
I like the idea from some comments of tying the initial launch to Nintendo accounts. It seems Nintendo is going for the swamp approach anyway: manufacture enough to easily meet demand.
Re: Best Nintendo Switch Metroidvania Games
I'm here to again say Castleroid is the better alternate term, while Metvania should be the current term. Portmanteaus should be a combination of partial words if possible. Exceptions are single syllable words used.
Of the two games added to this list, Blade Chimera looks most interesting. I will keep it on my radar.
Re: Nintendo Reconfirms Release Windows For Major Upcoming Switch Games
Metroid Prime 4 initially had a vague "2025" release date, and late last year got a "coming soon" label. Not sure if that's still active or subsequently removed.
I don't take much stock in these reports because they're meant to be a broad outline of the year, so 2025 could mean next month as much as it could mean September. I would not think beyond September because that really limits sales for the year.
Only MP4 is of interest to me of these games mentioned. Of huge interest!
Re: Opinion: With Forecasts Slashed (Again), Absolutely Everyone's Antsy For Switch 2 ASAP
Re: PlayStation Vet Shuhei Yoshida Recalls Nintendo's Scariest Announcement
The 3DS was initially set at a ridiculously high price and was selling poorly. Once the inevitable happened and the price dropped, sales started to escalate. That's when I launched, with most of my friends following once the XL model arrived. Not sure why Sony would think Nintendo would compete at the same price point as the technologically superior Vita. Obviously MH4 really helped kick 3DS along in Japan. I got hooked into Star Fox 64 3D!
Re: Feature: 12 Things Switch 2's Mysterious Not-C-Button Might Do, Maybe
It's probably just to keep the rumour mongers amused and won't exist on the final product. 🤣
For the lack of a serious option offered, it's probably to launch chat options.
Re: Rumour: Switch 2 Game Cases Might Take Up More Space On Your Shelf
I'd be stunned if Nintendo go bigger with the cases. I took a screen shot just in case I need to add to the list of fake Switch "leaks" and rumours over the years. My phone is almost out of memory! 🤣
Re: Digital Foundry Digs Into Switch 2's 4K Upscaling Potential As Patents Inspire More Speculation
Re: PSA: 'Nintendo Switch 2 Experience' Invites Are Now Being Sent Out
Not me or any friends. Clearly rigged! 🤪
Not that fussed anyway. I only applied because they did. We'll get plenty of information and demonstrations online to satisfy most of us.
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Donkey Kong Country Returns HD?
9 because it's a great game
2 minus because it's ridiculously overpriced
7 final score
Re: Poll: So, How Would You Feel About 24 Racers In Mario Kart 9?
Eight is the perfect number for the best balance between racing and chaos. Sometimes I even think four is sufficient. 24 will be ridiculous if it's traditional racing. The course shown is much more expansive than normal so I suspect it's a separate mode or entirely different game.
Re: Talking Point: Did All The Switch 2 Leaks 'Damage' Nintendo Or The Console's Reveal?
Re: Talking Point: Did All The Switch 2 Leaks 'Damage' Nintendo Or The Console's Reveal?

Re: Feature: Everything You Missed In The Switch 2 Mario Kart Reveal - Characters, Features, Easter Eggs
Re: Reaction: Nintendo Pins Hopes On Familiar Fun With Switch 2
Re: Poll: So, What Did You Think Of The Switch 2 Reveal?
This wasn't a reveal. The real reveal is 2 April. This was a tease and a reveal date set so to shut down the absurd rumours and wild speculation. In that context, I gave it a 10 for Outstanding. We got the basic form and a reveal date. That's all I wanted.
Furthermore, anyone believing this would be anything more should not be so gullible in believing the fake leaks. Nintendo NEVER promised any such reveal; only promising an announcement about the successor by the end of March. This tease was it. While it probably came a month or so earlier than hoped, they had no choice to go early.
Re: Nintendo Switch 2 Reveal Trailer Gives First Official Look At The New Console
@Jack_Goetz Ping!
Re: Nintendo Switch 2 Reveal Trailer Gives First Official Look At The New Console
Re: Nintendo Is "Very Upset" About The Switch 2 Leaks, It's Claimed
Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Donkey Kong Country Returns HD
It's a brilliant game. Easily 9/10. The problem is justifying the high price for a basic HD port of an old game. In that sense, 7/10.
Re: Rumour: 'Switch 2' Will Reportedly Be Officially Revealed This Thursday
Re: Rumour: Ubisoft Has "More Than Half A Dozen Games" Planned For Switch 2
Rumour is Nintendo have at least 10 games planned already! My source? A knack for speculating the obvious!
Another rumour: You can play the new device with both hands! 🤣😛
Re: Review: Donkey Kong Country Returns HD (Switch) - Aping A Retro Classic
Obviously it's just a HD port, as the title implies, and in contrast to Metroid Prime Remastered. I own it on 3DS so it's a pointless purchase. I can't remember doing the blow while playing it. How interesting!
Re: 'Switch 2' Ergonomic Grip Case Surfaces On Amazon
Re: Rumour: New 'Switch 2' Leak Suggests Console Will Require A 60W Charger
I guess it will all be confirmed during the supposed Nintendo Direct on 8 January. 🤣
For those unaware, a Direct on that date was a strong rumour.
Re: Nintendo Switch 2: Everything We Know About Nintendo's Next Console
