I had the original Zelda special edition basic 3DS since launch and loved it, but after buying the N3DS XL, I could never go back. It's amazing.

My reactions are probably a bit overzealous because I went from a launch model to the brand new one without ever owning an XL. So there's that. Still, glad that I have it and especially happy to be playing FE Fates on it later this week.

Here's to a long 3DS lifespan!

Actually a pretty solid selection, especially for puzzle fans.

Nothing I'm super into though, so I'll grab Girls Like Robots for 5 bucks. Looks fun and reviewed well.

Fire Emblem next week! The drought is over!

Just the two Smash characters for me this week. I've enjoyed all the DLC fighters so far but they've been more of a "play for fun" type of thing. Yet with Bayonetta, I could actually see myself using her long term. She has a fascinating move set and I did surprisingly well while practicing.

If anyone ever wants to play some 1v1 with new characters, let me know. Always up for it!

Looks like just Tactics Advance for me. Although I don't want to get too burned out on TRPGs before FE Fates...

Super excited for this one. I've kept an open slot next to Fusion in my GBA folder for a long time now, ha.

Here's to hoping the Zelda Anniversary plans include the two DS games as our next big Nintendo VC release!

Nothing for me, but I'm hoping that those VC releases are the beginning of a 2016 filled with classic games coming out every week on Wii U and 3DS.

I guess that Xmas eShop money will remain where it is for now. Back to Xenoblade yet again.

I usually get a few eShop cards for Xmas, and have been debating if I should pick up Steamworld Heist. No doubt it's a fantastic game, but with so much time going to XCX, I'm not sure if I'll actually end up playing through it.

Might be good to get it now and save it for the new year...

The tributes in the days after his passing were incredibly special, but it got me wondering what they would be like in the months or even years after. They've continued to be amazing. From marathons and streaming events, fans, even a touching moment at The Game Awards. I imagine we'll continue to see them for a long time.

His legacy continues to grow, and deservedly so. I missed him at the last Direct, and continue to miss his personality and influence on our favorite gaming company. Always remembered.

Enjoying practicing with Cloud and the beauty of the Midgar stage, but that's it for me this week.

Back to XCX, it seems.

Nice! Picking this up on Thursday. Been a loooooong time since I've played a Wipeout/F-Zero type of game.

I'm a bit sad because it was such a fantastic experience on PC...but I do hope Nintendo owners try and find a way to play it. It's on Steam sales quite often.

Would have been interesting to see how they implemented the gamepad though...

If I had to bet, I'd definitely say it's the Smash Ballot or an announcement of when the Smash direct is (which will likely announce the ballot anyways).

Either way, I'm excited!

I've played them all since childhood, and seeing that artwork (at the top of the article) makes me feel of tinge of nostalgia for the good old days of HM. Sadly, the actual game looks rough. Really rough.

I'm really hoping the mobile version is a different thing entirely. They can fill that one up with micro transactions and whatever else, and keep the Wii U version pure.

After Lost Valley and the companies breaking up, it's hard to be too optimistic. But who knows...

I haven't heard much buzz at all online. The reviews came out and were positive and people seemed interested, but I'm just afraid it didn't do that well. Hopefully NPD will provide a clearer picture.

While it wasn't for me personally (from what I played and read, seemed like a young young kids type of thing), I was hoping that it would do well and maybe propel the Pokemon company to up their game a little and announce Z finally. Haha. But we'll see I guess.

When I saw that you guys had a review up, I got that rising excitement feeling in my chest. Almost like the feeling you have before you throw up....

It was warranted. I cannot freaking wait. December is Xeno month!

Sadly, most of the comments around the web are about the shipping. Buying only a game or two makes it not a huge discount, but if you went for a big haul, probably worth it.

I picked up Tactics A2 and WEWY. Square Enix should have offered free shipping for this weekend, or AT LEAST for people who spent over $20-25. My shipping was up to $8.99 for two games. Ugh.

I'm snagging Outrun, Retro City Rampage, and Boxboy. Not a mind-blowing sale but I'll take it.

Considering Scram Kitty for that price too...

Ouch. Really bad. And I'm not just talking about the heavy hitters like IGN and Gamespot. Even the other Nintendo Enthusiast sites are crushing it. NWR gave it a 3.5.

With both this and Amiibo Festival, it's been a rough November. Thankfully the shining light of Xenoblade arrives soon.

I loved DQ8 on PS2 when I was younger, but never got a chance to try DQ7. Ready to put tons of hours into them next summer/fall.

Congrats NL! Like a few others, I used to read Virtual Console Reviews because it was really the only legitimate resource for that back then. I don't even remember my thoughts on the merger, but definitely glad it happened!

If this is actually what ends up happening, I'll debate with myself endlessly in the weeks leading up to release about which version to get. Then eventually get the other version if it truly is different enough to warrant a purchase.

Either way, it's more Fire Emblem. I can't say no.

Not loving the controls, but everything else about Fatal Frame is a ton of fun. Atmosphere especially.

If I still played New Leaf than I'd be all over those Halloween goodies...

I'm usually against censorship in any form of media, but uh...here it makes a lot of sense. I originally thought "why on earth would they even put a 13 year old in that to begin with?", but a quick recap of former Monolith Soft female characters is pretty telling.

Playstation friends, remember KOS-MOS from Xenosaga? She's an android but always seemed wayyyyy over-sexualized. I remember it getting a little weird in the second game.

This is the correct decision by the localization team. The massive in-game worlds and environments are all still there.

I played hours upon hours of FOMT as a kid, so I'll pick up More Friends and see if it's just as addicting (probably will be).

RE Revelations is fantastic, definitely worth the $4.99. Other than that, maybe Human Resource Machine when it gets a sale. The PC reviews are pretty positive.

Just Fatal Frame for me! Hoping for some Halloween releases next week. The Castlevania DS games...please Nintendo....

Nintendo...time to open those checkbooks and reel him in. Imagine if they gave him full creative freedom and a large budget to revive a dormant franchise?

Definitely picking up Sonic 2, like everyone else. I was torn about the Legend of Legacy demo so I'll probably wait for a few reviews to surface before I snag it. That launch edition is so beautiful though.

Plague is finally here! Now I know what I'll be playing this weekend. Maybe Year Walk as well. Always wanted to get it on ios but heard it was way better with the encyclopedia. The Wii U version combines them together, so that works nicely.

Car Battler Joe also looks intriguing...the older reviews are solid but I'll wait for a modern NL one.

Nothing digital for me, just that beautiful physical package of Mario goodness on Friday...

Lucky. I would've tried to stay calm on the outside whilst absolutely freaking out haha. Nice to see NL getting some face time with the great ones.

I know everyone has said this, but I'm really hoping it isn't a mobile game. Wii U preferably, although the thought of having Pikmin on the go with a 3DS is pretty fascinating.

I hope we hear something about it in the next few months, otherwise it's probably an E3 reveal with the NX.

I talked to the developers for a long time at PAX. They're good guys and want nothing more than for it to come to Wii U as quickly as possible. There's just a ton of work to make that happen, and they've barely just announced the PC release.

Give them a little time. It'll come. With off TV play as well.

I was at the panel today at PAX where they announced it. Massive cheer. Seemed like everyone was ready for a special edition. Really fun to see some concept art as well.

Nice to see Runbow leading the votes. I really hope it sells well.

Also excited for the original S&P. Solid week!

Oof all the reviews have been rough. Really rough. For once, I'm glad a game is delayed for us here in NOA land.

I'm a Seattle local, trying and failing to decide what event to go to. There's a billion the night before PAX this year. This one looks pretty fun...but if the Sheraton Nindies Lounge has most of the same stuff, might be better to just go see/play during the weekend.

Looks like Pandora's Tower for me this week. Like a lot of people, I missed it when it originally released. Intrigues me enough to download...plus it's really the only option.

Streets of Rage 2 and DK Jungle Climber for me this week. Two games I never had a chance to play. Dragon Fantasy sounded up my alley but it's reviewed so poorly on other systems (3/10 from IGN and Gamespot) that I'll probably skip it. Which is disappointing.

I've been thinking about picking up Blaster Master on 3DS for a while now, guess I'll get the Wii U version. Then Enemy Below for the portable. Hopefully next week will be a bigger, full update.
