That's funny. I just bought Assassin's Creed III on Wii-U eshop yesterday for $4.99. They also have Black Flag and Splintercell for $4.99 as well (already had those two).

Yeah that’s one of the dumbest/puzzling things Capcom has ever done. They know that those games would be received better by Nintendo gamers and would sell better on a Nintendo platform? Maybe Nintendo made a deal with them to get them on the Switch online service NES games? I certainly doubt it though

Nothing wrong with being "that guy". I understand. That thumbnail is unnecessary. If you click on an article about Mortal Kombat then you know you are probably in for seeing some gore. But this is just right there without much chance to avoid it.

I guess they were going for a more-realistic hedgehog look for the movie version? So it doesn't look like we expect Sonic to look compared to the video games. Oh well.

Yeah I'd love to give it a shot. Switch is the only console I have currently (other than my Wii-U).

Hmm. Hope they have big plans for the 40th anniversary.

A mashup of some sort with Star Fox and F-Zero would be cool. Heck, you could even through Samus in too. Whether some sort of galactic racing game or a space adventure game, or elements of both?

That's how I look at it too. I owned a Wii-U and virtually every game that has been ported to Switch. But I have no problem with all of the ports. I just don't buy the ones I have already played. The ports are great though for the many gamers who didn't have a Wii-U.

I enjoyed Other M too. Definitely don't think it deserves as much hate as it gets, especially when a lot of those have probably not really played it for themselves. I obviously enjoy Super Metroid and the Prime games better, but I enjoyed Other M just fine.

I think you are right on both counts. It is easy-ish but there is plenty to do to 100% it. I think you'll definitely get your money's worth out of it.

That's awesome. I don't necessarily have any interest in playing Fortnite myself and my kids are grown and the granddaughter is still too young for gaming. This is pretty cool to see and that it was enjoyed by so many, including your kids. Making me a fan of Epic too.

Man, I'd go for that. I remember getting it for my kids when it first came out on Gamecube, and then playing it as much as they did! Get a remaster and in a couple years my granddaughter can play it.

Impossible Mission?! Is that the game I think it is? The old computer game? Or is this just a game with the same title? Because I enjoyed the original Impossible Mission back in the day.

Yeah I'm sure any revision would be backwards compatible just like New 3DS. The problem comes with those who have the older model and games start coming out that will only work on the newer model.

Yeah I'll grab this if it comes to the US. Still waiting for Battle Princess Madelyn on Wii U. I'm gonna buy it on Wii U just to support their loyalty for releasing it.

Nice. I enjoy articles like these. It 's cool to see these obscure peripherals for older gaming systems. I remember getting the NES PowerPad when it came out and wearing myself out trying to beat Cheetah in World Class Trackmeet. Never could beat him in the hurdles.

Cool. It'll be nice to get these, hopefully fairly soon.

I love how there were so many who whined about paying individually for NES/SNES games with the Virtual Console, clamoring for a subscription-based service, and now they are crying when they are given access to these games through a subscription-based service. Sad.

I remember buying a Gamecube at launch and then the next year getting my son one for Christmas. Then on his birthday in September I found a screen that attached to the top of it and a car charger that connected to it so it could be played in the car. He was the envy of all of his friends since he could play his Gamecube anytime whether in the car or in a hotel on vacation or even out on the patio. I know those weren't Nintendo-made attachments but Good times anyway.

I agree that $59 is too high if you've played it before. Even $49 would be a lot easier to swallow, but it is still probably worth $60 if you have never played it before. A new game in the series probably wouldn't have anymore content than this one does with the DLC added in. It would be nice to have these Wii U games $39-$49 for those of us who have played them already (especially Tropical Freeze since it merely added a new character and easy mode).

Where did I say that Nintendo was some philanthropist company? I said that I understand people complaining about the price, especially if they played it originally on Wii U. It was $59 then and worth the money. Then there was also the $29 Super Luigi DLC, which is included with this release, and it contains 96 more levels just as the main game does. I see that as worth the price if you have never played this before, which there is a sizeable portion of the Switch owner base who did not own a Wii U and didn't play this game originally. I would have liked it to be $39 and it would have been a no-brainer for me to pick it up again. I still may pick it up since it has been 6 years since I played it. You are getting the $90 worth of game for $60. You either buy it or you don't.

I don’t know where you are getting it looks bland? Have you seen it in action in person? It looks great. They put a ton of detail into everything, especially the backgrounds of the levels. I can see people complaining about the price but it has the original $60 game and the $20-$30 DLC which essentially doubles the size of the game. If you’ve never played this, and you love 2D Mario games, then this is a great game. It may not knock Super Mario 3 and Super Mario World off the top but it is still a very fun game.

It's not super-easy if you don't play as Nabbit and are trying to get all three of the star coins in all of the levels. It may feel a little easier/familiar to those of us who have been playing 2D Mario games for over 30 years, but it is definitely a great game for those who didn't play it on Wii-U. Plus you are getting the Super Luigi DLC with this which is a nice little challenge.

Well, it is kind of frustrating. Luigi’s Mansion and this game were console games that would be great to have on the Switch. I sold my 2DS and games and all my Wii U games when I got my Switch at launch. I was expecting the Switch to be my only console and handheld since that is what it is. I can see the need to keep supporting the 3DS for a while but they could release some of these games on both platforms.

I’ve wanted to try the Tembo game. I can’t believe Nintendo didn’t push to get it on Switch, at least if not Wii U.

Yeah I was waiting for Mother 3 on Wii-U since we got the other two games, and they added GBA games on the VC. I don't know what the actual sales figures were but I know that Earthbound and Earthbound Origins both stayed pretty high on the lists of most-downloaded games for Wii-U eshop, so I think you are right that Nintendo is missing out on nice profit from Mother 3. Maybe we'll still see it eventually. I 'd love to give it a try. I enjoyed the first two games. A collection of all 3 games on Switch would be a dream.

That's crazy with Mario Kart Wii! I wonder how many more copies they would have sold if they had ever made it a Nintendo Selects game a long time ago? I remember trading it in for $32 to Gamestop when the Wii U came out. That was more money than they were giving for just about any other Wii game at the time (other than Xenoblade or Fire Emblem, of course!), and it had already sold like 30 million copies back then.
