Nothing for me this week.
Nothing for me this week.
I'll probably pick Rico up when it's on sale as my current backlog is too big right now. I'm tempted to get Ikari Warriors though, I played through the C64 version recently and having a portable arcade version would be pretty cool.
Oh man, I remember worrying about whether or not Fate/Extella Link would come to Switch way back in like, August I think. Super stoked to get the Fleeting Glory edition.
Is that chocobo game the Wii one?
2 more weeks until Yoshi.
I will play the Monster Boy demo but I can't pay $40 for what looks like so many other $20 2D platform games - Shantae, Guacamelee, Ori. I know graphics aren't everything, but it's a 2D, not even 2.5D, game as well.
NO QUESTION buying Turok. Otherwise I’m very interested in Rico but I need to see more. The description has me sold but I’ve only seen like 4 screenshots. Probably Rico, definitely Turok.
Turok is such a blast from the past for me, I might go for that, if not now, then later.
Will also be getting the Chocobo's Dungeon game, I liked it on the Wii, but it's been a while and I wouldn't mind replaying it again. Though that's gonna have to wait a bit sadly, thanks again Squeenix for forcing me to import your games if I want a physical copy, really appreciate that.
Fewer than 100 games this week? #Nintendoomed
I may pick up Turok this week, already have it on steam but my laptop has issues playing it at times. I've been enjoying the new dynamite run of turok comics so this is an excellent companion to it.
Fate Extella I'll pick up physical next week, the big special edition!
Rico looks cool. I wonder how many people will actually be interested in the Chocobo game? I know I'm not lol, but I think it's fairly popular in Japan.
@MaSSiVeRiCaN The Mystery Dungeon series is pretty damn popular in Japan, but outside of it the only real popular ones are the Pokemon entries.
Does anyone know when Motorsport manager hits the UK eshop?
there's a release date for 14th March and that's today....
@CurryPowderKeg79 Patience my friend

Wow, Turok? I might have to get that..
Turok. Looking forward to Seeds of Evil
I never played Turok on 64 and always wanted to try it. However, I think I will wait and see for the time being.
Nothing for me, unless something later-on reviewed catches my attention. I'm content with my few Switch titles. If I get anything, it will be the Arcade Archives Mario Bros., & Vs SMB.
No purchase this week. Still trying to finish FFVIII on the PS Vita in time for FFVII release on the Switch. Planning to buy the Chocobo game in the future, though. 🐥
I grabbed Baba last night, and I’ll download the Monster Boy demo because it’s free. I’m just playing stuff till Yoshi.
Why is Square releasing Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon on a Wed? Nothing releases on Wednesdays ever
@jobvd its a new one
Wait...huh? I thought for sure that Chocobo Mystery Dungeon was getting a retail release over here... I guess not though. I guess I'll order the Japanese version and play it when it gets here...
Nice. I'll grab the retro games for sure (Turok, Ikari Warriors, Joe & Mac) and then maybe RICO.
Might pick up Chocobo Mystery Dungeon
I have been hoping for Turok:Remastered on Switch since it was released on XBOX1. Very happy.
@Dom will NL being reviewing Red Strings Club?
@Indielink I can certainly ask mate.
@Wanjia Take it up with Nintendo, they’re the ones posting North American eShop update press release on Thursday mornings (local time). Thursday is when Nintendo updates the eShop, so that’s why Nintendo Life posts this article each week.
Purchase is Baba is You
Oh. Mystery Dungeon is download only? Forget it!
Just the Monster Boy demo
@Mando44646 @jobvd actually it’s a remaster but it has new content.
@Tempestryke pretty much all the FF rereleases announced for Switch are digital only.
I might check out Chocobos mystery dungeon, but right now I'm saving for Mario Maker 2. If I really want a dungeon crawler, I'll just go finish super mystery dungeon.
Maybe Turok I loved it back then
Golf Peaks for me and I’m actually just holding out for my triple dip of Dragons Dogma. Oh yeah, knights for the win this Splatfest!
Well let's see what's on the eShop drive-thru today. Wow totally didn't expect Turok to be on the menu so soon. Well guess I'm ordering that and a combo meal of Joe and Mac and Ikari Warriors to go for this week then. I'll come back for some Chocobo dessert later.
Baba is You is notably absent - and it's a great game. Highly recommended for any fans of the puzzle genre. Very fun and unique concept.
@ShadJV Ugh. Thanks for letting me know.
@Tempestryke supposedly this has a physical release in Japan, and Switch is region free so you could import off Play Asia. But for the most part, they’re trying to churn out, what, 8 FF games in a year for Switch? It was a last minute decision when they saw the Switch doing well, more of a cash grab than anything else.
Personally I don’t mind, I have enough physical games and these are just quick ports (with some new content here and there). I got World of FF and enjoyed it, and am getting this and Crystal Chronicles, and some of the numbered ones too likely. I know some people feel pretty strongly about digital games though. At this point in time, I don’t think any of the Switch FF games are getting physical releases outside of Japan.
@Gen0neD I am interested in Golf Peaks, but will wait for a review. The low price is nice.
nothing for me this week. back to Super Paper Mario.
@ShadJV so it's the wii one in hd with added content? That was a great game right?
@jobvd yes, it was originally on Wii. This has added content. And I don’t have experience with the original so I don’t know for sure if it’s great but I love mystery dungeon games so I’m getting this.
Definitely will buy Turok day 1. I much prefer old school FPS. Turok is one of the only N64 games I never owned (because the control scheme turned me off), but now that it's on Switch with dual analog control, I'm excited to give it a go.
Just the Monster boy demo for me.
Saving money since I still gotta pay for stuff for Sanya, so I can't really buy anything right now. I did get SteamWorld Dig since I had $3 on the eShop, which is how much is was during the sale, so...free game! lol
@Tandy255 Yup, the $5 entry fee swayed me. I feel like 5 bucks at McDonalds would give me a greater sense of buyers remorse than this game ever would.
The captain toad dlc!!!!!
Not an option on your poll :/
@CaPPa If you want Ikari Warriors, I'd recommend the SNK 40th pack instead of the single game as I know that one has controls that are mapped to modern system controls (loop lever joysticks are no longer available in any real form, so using right analog's really the closest thing you can get-- using buttons for turning left and right sucks hard)
Not sure if the single game ones have that feature or if they make you use button presses to rotate.
Toad DLC
Baba Is You is a possibility. It looks unique.
