I’m just waiting for the devil to show up at the Capcom offices:
“Now look what you’ve done! You’ve frozen everything! Do you have any IDEA how long it takes to get the pilot light lit?!”
That said, announcing a Mega Man Legacy Collection 3 (of color remakes of the Game Boy Mega Man and X games), and that we’re getting an Amiibo of Brick Mega Man would make it perfect.
What I really want is a remake(s) that lets you earn Kanto, Johto, Sinnoh, and Unova Champion Ribbons with Gen-VI Pokemon (and Gen-VI ones brought into Gen-VII) . I'm OCD enough to want to take my teams through every League.
Actually, I'd like to see them make the Pro Controller the default, and make it so that all that's needed to activate backward compatibility is to sync a GamePad and/or a WiiMote (needless to say, this means continuing to sell those). Let the owner decide if it's important or not, while cutting down the entry price.
I'd also like to see a return to carts, so that players can get into the game faster. Patches/DLC can still be stored on a drive, a la 3DS, but "no need to install" would be a good selling point. Flash is so cheap now that it wouldn't be like the N64 vs. PS1 days, where carts suffer a space crunch compared to discs. Since the discs have to be installed, there's no real advantage anymore. Smaller devs looking to save can stick with the download model.
Finally, they really do need to have comparable power to the PS4/XB1, and if they really want to surprise everyone, go for the Neo/Scorpio level.
One aspect I haven't heard anyone talk about is regioning. Many of the people in mainland China who have 3DSs got them either in Japan or Hong Kong, or through gray-market import shops that got them from there, prior to the console ban being lifted (or because they wanted to play the whole library, not just what was let through).
As such, if the Chinese release of Sun/Moon is a different "region", and won't work on Japanese 3DSs, a lot of people are going to find their purchase unusable.
This isn't the first time a Zelda game's content was tied to an external thing. Remember Link's Awakening, where the Color Dungeon could only be unlocked on GBA, or Oracle, where you needed both games for the true ending?
In both cases, you could have a satisfactory experience without the extras.
@Daruncic Indeed. They were honestly really broken, with only the fun making up for it. What would've been really awesome is if they had released a DLC for the Gen VI games that let you go through Kanto, with the Pokemon distribution and Gyms equivalent to the originals.
Now, if the have a Gen VI Mew release for the anniversary, then we can really start the hype.
I just can't figure why they would release the Gen1 Pokemon games. They were honestly really broken. What would've been really awesome is if they had released a DLC for the Gen VI games that let you go through Kanto, with the Pokemon distribution and Gyms equivalent to the originals.
I'm disappointed that there has been no announcement of remaking the GB games. Seriously, a collection of MM I-V, remade in the Mega Man 10 engine and reformatted for the 3DS screen would be a Day 1 buy, especially if remakes of Mega Man XTreme and a proper Mega Man & Bass were included.
It makes sense that someone from FF was in,but I'd rather have seen someone like Terra or Cecil, given that they actually debuted on Nintendo hardware. In fact, I'll start it right now, Terra for Smash 4!
My first thought on Greninja was, "Gen 6 Megas confirmed?". Its kinda subtle for that but it would fit the "rogue/ninja" theme. I've figured that they're coming for all the starters, and it isn't the first time one Mega starter got revealed ahead of the others.
My concern is that they are teaming with a solely Japanese company. I worry that Western gamers are about to be left out in the cold again. Nintendo does still show reluctance sometimes exporting non-Sure Thing concepts.
@JoakimZ Exactly what I would have said. In particular, there is no button remap, so the only way to use Bass's dash is to double tap forward. This kills the timing.

Re: Zelda: Breath Of the Wild And Tears Of The Kingdom Will Be Enhanced On Switch 2
I can’t find info anywhere about whether the DLC will be included in the Switch 2 edition of BotW. I wish they’d tell us.
Re: Nintendo Reconfirms Release Windows For Major Upcoming Switch Games
Looking forward to Super Kirbyo Odyssey.
Re: A True Pokémon Master Has Defied The Odds And Collected Every Shiny Pokémon
My first Shiny was of course the red Gyarados in Gold, but the first random full odds one I’ve encountered was a Dugtrio, of all things, in X.

@MegaKBang - You can breed Own Tempo Rockruff though, you just have to have one.
Re: Pokémon Sword And Shield's Latest Event Rotates Some Version Exclusives
I’m more interested in the fossils, tbh. Thanks to my nephew, I have the exclusives except Zamazenta.
Re: You Can Now Get Another 35 Pokémon In Sword And Shield
A side benefit is that you can get the version-exclusive Galar Forbes by breeding the originals. Finally have my Ponyta and Corsola lines!

Re: Gamevice Launches Patent Case Against the Nintendo Switch and Joy-Con Concept
Good thing it's not a Chinese company. Remember Apple losing a trademark case there against a company that made leather pouches named "iPhone"?
Re: Pokémon GO iOS 1.39.0 & Android 0.69.0 Update Rolls Out
Now if they would just fix it so all Pokémon earn coins when they return, instead of a max of 50 across all deployed Pokémon.

I'd play it if I could get past the 3101 error.
Seriously, does Nintendo ever launch on iOS and have it actually work from the start?

Re: E3 2016: Fresh Pokémon Sun And Moon Details Include New 'Mon And Battle Format
So, the count stands at 22 known-to-exist Pokemon, and 11 revealed Pokemon. Personally, I think we're getting 100 new ones.

How about adding a needed feature (Play DSiWare from the SD card), instead of just ongoing anti-homebrew salvos? You did it for the Wii!

Re: Feature: Breaking Down Ryu's Moves and How He'll Shake Up Super Smash Bros.
I was right in my prediction of his moves (Standard = Hadoken, side = tatsumaki, up = Shoryuken). Didn't call the Focus Attack, though.
I was right in one other prediction - Kirby doing Hadokens is hilarious! XD
Re: Street Fighter Legend Ryu And Fire Emblem's Roy Found In Super Smash Bros. Patch Code

Re: Talking Point: The Legend of Zelda on Wii U May Benefit From a Delay, But It Leaves a Blockbuster-Sized Gap

@TruenoGT Phantasia used to be on iOS, they killed it because it wasn't pulling in microtransaction $$$, not even letting people play just the game.
