Re: Feature: Super Mario Galaxy 2 - 10 Years Of Nintendo's Straightest, Greatest Sequel

I think the success of this game changed nintendo in a way I didn’t like : since then, thier sequels have been more styled after “super Mario bros 2 (japan)” instead of being more inventive like “super mario bros 3”

Personally playing this game was stressful cause of its linear and questionable level design. I thought it was absolute torture just to get to the mario 64 remake level. I prefer more of a traditional 3d platformer like mario 64 and sunshine

A mario 64 remake would be real nice. One benefit It could have is a camera easyer to control for those that struggle with it. It also might even help ignite a banjo kazooie/tooie remake from Microsoft. but I dont think it would ever replace the original mario 64 for me because Id prefer the original charming polygonal graphics/physics I admire from that unique era of gaming.

If Pokemon was under better management I'm sure it’s possible for them to hire professionals to code a flexible engine that could have all the Pokemon and be reused for multiple games while being added to. they are a large company but not run well. They still are trying to profit themselves from 1 group (children) and discarding their ever-growing group of older long time fans that want improvements such as difficulty, the national dex and story. I think the gigamax gimmick was only made to look good to investors.
