Beautiful! I'm happy I finally got to play and beat Earthbound on the Wii U VC. I can still play it again on my SNES mini if I'd like. I'm playing Mother 3 on a fan translation cart on my SP 101. Pretty amazing.

Its sad that the creator of Earthbound has no desire to continue the series. On one hand, I do support his decision of 3 being the end of the series. Now and days it's hard to come to terms with a series ending for good, even properties like Starwars and Lord of the Rings continue to move on with new continuations despite the creators no longer being involved with the projects. But on the other hand, remastering the Mother games would not be that bad. All its doing is giving a new audience a chance to experience the same game in a new coat of paint. But the creator has had a ton of people prepose a Mother remaster too him, and he has turned every single one down. There is almost no hope on a new, or remastered, Mother title if the creator is deadset on the series staying dead. And Nintendo wouldn't dare make a new entry without his involvement, it just wouldn't be a Mother game without him heading the project. It'd be a hollow shell.

@GrandScribe Sadly the meme is coming to an end. No doubt after how much of a success Half-Life Alyx was, Half-Life 3 may finally be in the works.

Had no idea this was even possible in Animal Crossing. Love seeing how creative people can be, would never be able to do anything close to that myself.

@patbacknitro18 Yeah, right. It's not like there's ever not been huge interest in a third Half-Life game in the... checks notes ... SIXTEEN YEARS since Half Life 2 came out. Maybe after all this time Valve felt they needed to release some sort of buffer project to gain actual interest in continuing the series before committing to a full sequel, but it's just as likely Half-Life 3 will never happen. I hope I'm wrong, but I'll believe it when I see it and not a moment before.

Actually the Mother 4 fan project is the closest we will get to a new Earthbound game. Like seriously have you ever played Earthbound?

@Wazeddie22 I have maxed out 10 villagers, Nook & Cranny, Mabel's, museum, lots of stuff, and my island is still basically Gilligan's Island. Isn't that why peopel get away to live on an island, to be on an island? If they wanted sidewalks, fences and stuff might as well stay on the mainland in a city. No ryhme, no reason, just nature.

That's my story and I'm sticking with it.

In that case my islands probably better than this one.

@Wazeddie22 Funny thing, KK Slider just came and played on my island this morning and opened up terraforming for me. Not exactly sure what the correlation is between those 2 but that's what happened. And I have to say, I can imagine people doing that now. I called it AC crack. I still wont' go that crazy, but I may highlight a few walkways among my dinosaur bones for a path.
