Zero games for the failing Switch. SAD!

I'm just waiting for my Monster Hunter Stories 2 copy. I'll eventually play TWEWY and Master Blaster 3 too.

I know some these games have a lot of people looking for them, but these all seem really niche or at least they are to western audiences.

Very excited for Ys 9. Played ys 8 because someone gave it to me and it was great! I got very unexpectedly hooked.

MHS2 for me and that’s about it for me. Skyward Sword was and still is, my least favorite Zelda.

Getting Zelda amiibo and Joycons, Ys XI, Monster Hunter CE and amiibo and GAA day 1. Since I am not made of money, I will be putting many of the other games from this month on my BF list.

Holding off on Skyward, perhaps forever. Couldn't stand the nagging tutorial on the original release - and the fast travel behind an amiibo - that's been scalped now - it doesn't exactly improve this one for me.

Ive never had a backlog before in my life. Ive always been a buy a game, finish it before buying another type of person. But I might have to get Monster Hunter Stories 2 even though I haven't wrapped up Atelier Ryza 2 and Persona 5S yet. The demo is just too good!

Too many. Ace Attorney, Neo, YS 9, MH Stories 2 and Cris Tales. Pretty sure I'll be getting them all. I need a new SD card.

A fair few good games for me. Good month for me.

Nothing here for my tastes but that’s okay. Allows me to save up for the inevitable fall downpour of games. Plus I can put time into Mario Golf, Ratchet, and Guilty Gear Strive. Enjoy July!

Can't wait for Blaster Master Zero 3 - both prequels were awesome. Playing with each extra character was also great making another playthrough a very different experience and worthwhile.

I would argue that going through Ryza 2 and P5S is a backlog-ish, but that's definitely a backlog 90% of people here could only dream of XD

For me it's definitely MHS2, wasn't Skyward (albeit totally open to loving it), then I seen the steel book Ys 9 finally, Great Ace Attorney Chronicles & WEWYN but I need to actually play and finish the original first.

I havent used my Switch in a very, very long time now.

with success comes sacrifice I guess.

There's been a lot of stacked months. Even Feb-March this year was chock full of excellent games. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, Persona 5 Strikers, Bravely Default 2, Monster Hunter Rise demo...

Heck, even in June, like a week ago, we got Mario Golf, Tony Hawk PS 1/2, MH Stories 2 demo and Neo: TWEWY demo, and I think Disgaea 5, in a single day.

But this one is pretty good too.

WHAT ABOUT GAMES COMING OUT IN AUGUST? Why do July games get all the focus? This is absolute virtue signalling and I will no longer be allowing my children on nintendolife since they seem to have an agenda of talking about "july compatible" games. August is a month too so it shouldn't be excluded!

@JaxonH depends on interests. July is firing on all cylinders for me. Persona 5 Strikers and Bravely Default 2 are the only other 2 Switch games I have bought so far this year

I've bought a lot, but beyond Persona 5 Strikers, Bravely Default 2 and Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, I'd say Monster Hunter Rise is the most exciting video game I've played in the last 5 years (barring World- that was also just as exciting, except it wasn't hybrid so maybe not quite as much).

Trails of Cold Steel IV was also a banger. Got the collector edition. And Mario Golf is excellent (love the motion- I'm a diehard Wii Sports Club Golf fan). And Tony Hawk is a must have. One of my all time faves. There's been plenty others, but those are the seriously hype ones. Did buy Atelier Ryza 2, New Pokémon Snap, Crash 4, Ninja Gaiden Trilogy, Disfaea 6, and some others. Too many to remember.

@scannerdarkly7 they added skip scenes and tutorials only play once now. Regardless it is a excellent game either way. You get the same crap with almost every game anymore.

Never seen so many 1 and 2 out of ten, maybe gaming isn't for you?

I know people have different tastes and you could be super critical but a lot of good games getting 1 or 2 which just comes of as pretentious

@YoungLink64 Skyward Sword has Japanese art that's anime-esque. I can understand genres and game types not being your thing, but I'll never understand people refusing to even look at a game because the art isn't their favorite style. There are so many great games you'd miss our on! With your icon and name, you're obviously a Zelda fan. Did you dislike Wind Waker for similar reasons? I'm legitimately wondering.

Ys IX: Monstrum Nox, Monster Hunter Stories, Blaster Master Zero III and Skyward Sword HD are all must buys for me! The rest I'm either not interested in or haven't heard of (except Ace Attorney, I'm just fine waiting for a long time for a good sale).

Quite a few that I want this month but have pre-ordered Skyward Sword HD and the joy cons so that's probably all I'll buy this month.

@suikoden quite the contrary. I own at least 2000 games, I’m not kidding. I have dozens of game systems starting with Atari and Intellivision, all the way to Nintendo switch. I play games daily and have since the 70s. The issue here is I can’t stand violent or satanic games. I think that’s unnecessary garbage that does not belong in games so those types are crap to me. Furthermore there are simply badly designed games or games that are not fun for a variety of reasons. I can give you a list of hundreds of games that I would rate a perfect 10. But none are on this list, that’s for sure. Oddly the game Suikoden was one of my all time favorites back when I still played PS1. 🤷🏻‍♀️

July month will kill me lol (Ys IX, Monster Hunter Stories 2, Cris Tales, Neo:, TWEWY, The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles). But I can't wait for Cris Tales. 😁

For a lot of people, myself included: YES!
Some sequels to beloved games (TWEWY, MHSS), an improved port of an underrated title (Skyward Sword), a never before released game in the West (The Great Ace Attorney) and the ninth game in a long running JRPG franchise that is also a follow-up to a modern classic in the genre (Ys).

For me i am just buying Dariusburst and Cotton Reboot. I am just hoping they announce G-Darius HD for Europe. And waiting patiently for Dethsmiles, Dodonpachi and Espgaluda. Great system for shumps fans.

@YoungLink64 I play a lot of tabletop games and I guess I just got used to art direction and even theme sometimes being so different from what I'd expect I'd like. It's silly to think that some of my favorite board games are about bird watching, running a winery or just have plain terrible box art!

Great Ace Attorney is the most excited I’ve been for a game in a VERY long time.

I’ll get Skyward Sword too. Less exciting because I’ve played it, but man, I’m down for revisiting on Switch!

Should try the demo for MH Stories 2. It’s only a few hours long and saves transfer. It’s so incredibly good.

Same for Neo: The World Ends With You. Demo is out, and transfers, it’s really good. And Ys IX: Monstrum Nox also has a demo, but it’s a quick 10 min section of combat.

I’m ready for Zelda, too. I never played more than a few hours of Skyward Sword. I’ve always wanted a handheld version that let you use button controls, but it’s nice that you can still use motion on the TV or tabletop. Thank goodness they addressed the handholdy aspects like notifying you every time you pick up the same mats, that’s going to make the game so much more enjoyable.

We’ve also got Great Ace Attorney Chronicles and Samurai Warriors 5 this month, but those are a little lower on my list. Still buying but, not mega hype like these others.

@JaxonH oh definitely. That's what I mean, with july being nuts. I'm getting MH Stories 2 and Ace Attorney day 1. Then I'll definitely pick up Ys and TWEWY2 too. Cristales is also a big one for me, but I'll probably save my money and play it on Game Pass

I'm not sold on a Wii port being worth $60. So I'll probably wait a while on Zelda

I think the issue here is that you have rated undeniably great games with pitiful scores which then nullifies a lot of your other opinions. Like sure you can not like a game, but it doesn't make it a 1/10, you're better off simply not rating them at all.

@Rosona no the issue is I disagree with you. My opinion is that those games completely suck. You have played games you don’t like haven’t you? Or are they all a perfect 10 for you? Just curious.
