Super Smash Bros. Ultimate obviously isn't the only all-star brawler out there. One of the more successful ones outside of this heavy-hitter is Ubisoft and Blue Mammoth's free-to-play title Brawlhalla.
It landed on the Nintendo Switch back in 2018 and since then has continued to expand its roster. The game already has over 50 characters including the likes of Rayman, Shovel Knight and Tomb Raider's Lara Croft, and now to top it off is the reveal of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Yes, that's right - as of 16th June, Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, Michelangelo will be joining the battle (pizza included):
There'll also apparently be appearances by Master Splinter and Casey Jones, and there's a new game mode called Crew Battles being added. Last but not least is a brand new map depicting the radical green sewers.
The turtles have experienced somewhat of a resurgence in recent times - with Dotemu also recently announcing the beat 'em up Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge for the Nintendo Switch. It's expected to arrive sometime later this year.

Okay cool.
Now give us the games?
I wouldn’t mind Turtles In Time but id take any of them really.
Honestly, new Brawlhalla characters don't excite me anymore.
@Razer Have I got good news for you!
We have an upcoming game of TMNT featuring the 80s design, and now the same Turtles are now playable in Brawlhalla. I'm pretty sure that Nicklodeon is playing a 80s-styled reboot of the show.
The headline has me interested all the way up to brawlhalla
So three companies, arcade 1up, dotemu, and Ubisoft have managed to release turtle games. Are we sure it’s near impossible for someone to figure out how to release the original and sequel arcade games? Come on Hamster!!!
@sixrings I think Viacom has to make a call to Konami to release a little bundle game with the NES trilogy and the 2 arcade releases and the SNES and Megadrive game.
Put a collection of commercials, toy and game ads, arcade marques and a video clip of the 'amazing?' Pizza power. and I would gladly pay 30 for that bundle.
I just can't get into Brawlhalla, nothing you do has any impact! Just feels like you're lightly brushing up against each other
@Divinebovine Same. The principle sounds great in theory, but I didn't feel any excitement when I played it.
@Noid yeah i saw it actually.
After I posted this. It looks good and definitely a day one for me.
Turtle power
This isn’t the Shredder’s Revenge street date announcement I was hoping for 😅
@HotGoomba Probably because the game isn't as exciting anymore, but i still find it kinda cool when they do crossovers like these, they give me an excuse to return to the game for half an hour, go to training mode, say "that's kinda neat" then forget the game ever exists until the next character comes around
This would be cool if they didn't charge so much for each individual character. I want the Adventure Time pack, but if I remember correctly it's $20 per character.
@khululy I’d gladly pay $60 for your bundle!!! 😍
I wish I could get excited for this, but Brawlhalla is too... I don't know. What's the word? Floaty? Whatever it is, I just can't stay into it.
@khululy Throw in the SNES and Genesis versions of "Tournament Fighters," as well.
