NSO classic library is unrivaled. A subscription service to play all the old classic Nintendo and partner games was ALWAYS the best way to go rather than another virtual console where you have to repeatedly buy the game again. Plus my shelves are not clogged up with old cardboard boxes of games I'll never play purely down to the hassle of having to dig out the old hardware. It's much easier on Switch and will be even better on switch 2
Mario kart world is like £35 if you buy it in the switch 2 bundle. I do not want it on cartridge. I won't be playing it in 15 years time. Loud minority shouting about the PRICE of Nintendo switch 2 games isn't going to change anything.
@Moistnado well if you have NSO you could get the Switch version of Metroid Prime 4 and then if you upgrade to Switch 2 you will be able to play the enhanced Metroid Prime 4 for 'free' as the switch 2 EDITION upgrade comes with NSO if you own the switch version
@LXP8 In case you missed it, Nintendo will also be offering a GameChat "open-access period" until 31st March 2026, where GameChat can be used without a membership. After this date, a subscription will be required to use this feature
I will probably pick this is up it comes down a little in price. I'm not sure how low it could go but Id like to think it would get down to £34.99 at some point like most third party games seem to in the UK. Sonic Superstars dropped very quickly, physical is at £19.99 in Argos right now. Sonic/shadow is like £34.99 already. I get it totally different games, not as expensive to make and probably sell alot more, but I'm sure cyberpunk will drop within a year
It's really a small minority of people complaining about these 'issues'. Even a few thousand angry commentators online is a extremely small part of what made switch a success. It sold hundreds of millions of switch consoles. The vast majority don't ever and will never unleash their anger online, and just buy the games like they did with every other generation.
@Rykdrew I suppose I'm old enough to have been ripped off back in the day paying £70 for Paperboy on N64, that when I see the quality of today's games, it's the price I really don't care about, I care about the quality of the game. Modern gamers don't know how lucky they are, but that's just my opinion, and my experience
@N00BiSH still got my Donkey Kong 3 game & watch. Stanley should be in mario kart world. He doesn't get enough love. If penguin is there STANLEY should too
@OrtadragoonX yeah true. CDs did drop game prices and also alot more games were released. Thinking about it, when you take in the amount of online sales and discounts many games are actually pretty cheap now after a year or two. The eshop always has some sweet deals
@Ladasta The Adventures of Batman & Robin on the Genesis was $79.99, Garfield Caught in the Act Was $89.99 at Toys r us in 1995. Consider yourself LUCKY you didn't have to pony up such money for such average games with merely a review in a magazine and a few screenshots to gawp at to decide whether they were actually good or not. They were both ass. Games were a rip off then and a rip off now. Nothings changed. People just have rose tinted memories of the past. I guess smoking was better then too.. tsk
@UltimateOtaku91 technically they COULD run on switch but they wouldn't be in 4k and or at 60fps/120fps. Also not in HDR and with poorer load times on OG Switch.
@PikminMarioKirby I imagine the star crossed world isn't on the cart? That me speculating of course. Better compression techniques is the other explanation
@WiltonRoots exactly. Smyths toys can rarely be beaten on price especially for Nintendo first party games. The recommended retail price is just what it says it is, RECOMMENDED. people fail to realise this, and it's exhausting
@OldGamer999 hmmm. If it's a Nintendo switch 2 EDITION it will be a paid upgrade for NON switch online expansion pack members. I've read around £10-15.
@LieutenantPete switch 2 will probably be the first console I don't buy any physical games for. I can't be bothered with switching (lol) the game carts out. It's a right hassle

Amibo, up there with Skylanders as the biggest load of junk ever introduced to gaming. And that rubbish Lego dimensions game too.

@BTB20 I think DK Bonanza will be better than many people might imagine it will
Re: "Stay Tuned" For Next Mainline Mario, Says Nintendo's Bowser
How likely are we to get a Twilight Princess remake? Or will it just come to NSO on GameCube classics? Is it wide-screen? I have not played it
Re: "Stay Tuned" For Next Mainline Mario, Says Nintendo's Bowser
Waluigi Land is more likely
Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Confirmed As The First Switch 2 Title To Use Nvidia's DLSS Upscaling
@KoopaTheGamer it's probably going to be cheaper to buy the original switch version and then upgrade later when you get a switch 2 regardless

@WiltonRoots hahaha! All the switch games will be on whatever the newest Raspberry Pi by then. I'll also be 105.
Re: Nintendo Direct: Mario Kart World: Every Announcement - How Would You Rate It?
Ordered the Mario Kart switch 2 bundle. Mario Kart World game is literally only £30 then
Re: Nintendo Confirms Duration For Tomorrow's Mario Kart World Direct
I'd like Donkey Kong JR. to be a custom costume for Donkey Kong in Mario Kart World.
Also Stanley from Donkey Kong 3 as a playable character

Re: Talking Point: Zelda: Wind Waker Is On Switch 2 - Do You Still Want A WW:HD Port?
Always though this art style was average, looks like Kindergarten Zelda imo. I'm sure it's a good game but hard pass even on NSO

Re: Video: Street Fighter 6 Side-By-Side Comparison (Switch 2 & PlayStation 5)
I'd prefer it if they just released SF6 on switch WITHOUT the open world sections. I just want one on one fighting, none of that extra crap.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Switch 2 Cross-Progression Confirmed, Performance & Resolution Detailed
@Rykdrew the Rog has barely sold 100,000 units. So the mainstream does not care about it. They care about switch 2. And Nintendo.

@tobsesta99 are you not over that by now?
