@The_Nintendo_Pedant ha funny you should say Huntdown, that is one hell of a game. Shame that I'm stuck on one of the bosses so had to put it down. I wonder if the new Terminator 2 game will play similarly?

@DCinFL name a game that actually does justify it's price tag? And don't say silksong, it's so not the same

@Nintendomatt64 I want Nintendo to move forward. I don't want to play the old classics. But the caveat is I will pay to play the old classics in 4K. £39 is nothing to the fun I'll have with mario galaxy 2. I'm not sure what people want. Do they really think this would be a £25 game?

@TheBoilerman yes each to their own. But I don't want to play them, unless it's on a new console. I want Nintendo to look forward and not backwards. I want new experiences not old ones I had when I was a kid

@HugoGED I did that when it came out originally and it looked terrible. I also don't want to play on CRT TV anymore. It's 2025 I've moved on. 4K only

The fact they are in 4k is worth it in my opinion. The Wii version always looked terrible.

Judging by the battery life of the switch 2 this would be a hard sell. Ps6 level power in a handheld? Good joke

I feel every game since Sonic 2 has been chasing the success of the Original Mega drive game and has totally failed to capture its magic

If EA released an updated but graphically similar John Madden 93 but with new teams and players I'd buy that. Make it £20

@BundyDanger ha yeah that was the SNES version, I think you could unlock the blood with a cheat code. It's made me want to play Mortal Kombat again now lol

@BundyDanger yeah when I was at school it seemed like all the dumb kids liked mortal Kombat because it had blood.

Anyone else dislike Mortal Kombat? It's not a patch on Street Fighter 2 and it's sequels imo.
I like it's graphics, characters and audio but the gameplay is ***** and I hate the controls

Physical games are pointless nowadays. After a few updates and patches the game will look nothing like this original release. So what's the point? Just like all games that have patches and updates these days

@Johnny44 the less realistic the better to be honest. I hate games that try to be too 'real'. Donkey Kong is a cartoon character, and should stay that way imo

@HammerGalladeBro yeah we had the master system in the UK. It was more popular than the NES here. I had the master system 2. Dreamcast was fairly popular here, I had one day one but it was dead within 2 years. I feel like Sega just doesn't put content out from those because they weren't that popular in the USA mainly

Switch 2 v OLED it's really nitpicking to find a massive difference. Having a Switch OLED and coming to the switch 2 I truthfully cannot see much of a difference. If the blacks are more black I am hard pressed to see it myself. Is the screen more laggy. Can't say I've noticed. Is the screen blurring when scrolling? Maybe, I'm not sure. It's not an issue if it does to be frank. I don't feel it's comprising anything to be honest. The bump to 1080p is massively welcome. I've been playing super mario 3D world and it looks so clean on switch 2! I won't be using my Zelda OLED anymore. It's just a collectors item now

@Joeynator3000 that's good! The only thing Themes do is slow down the user interface. I don't need a mario background muddying the game tiles

@NolandC and this patch now makes the physical version pointless like every other physical game. Because this game in 5 years will be nothing like the one released in 2025.
It's a digital market now physical gaming is on the way out

@dskatter I mean keeping the old switch just means you can't play any switch 2 games. It's really not a deal breaker. Just plug the console into the wall and charge it while playing lol

@ChromaticDracula that's a good point actually. I guess having a usb c power bank is a good option unless you can plug in on a jet. Unfortunately the more powerful these handhelds get they also require bigger batteries, and then the price goes up. I think if the switch had come out at over £500 it would be far too much of deal breaker for most. Hard to find a common ground I guess

Turn off adaptive brightness makes a massive difference on switch 2. No problems with the screen, I'm not sure I can tell a difference between this and my switch OLED. Possibly if I put them side by side

@Datasun_7 you can do the 3 laps course in Vs mode

@Roibeard64 hopefully Donkey Kong Bonanza will be that single player experience. Not long to wait for it now. Then Metroid prime 4

@HalBailman call me blind but I cannot really tell too much if a difference between the oled and the switch 2 screen. Turning off adaptive brightness in the settings made a HUGE difference on switch 2. It's much more vibrant

@Lord it is actually. I've put about 8 hours into it already and I've completed all the 50cc cups in grand Prix and now onto the 100cc. It's a beautiful game, in 4K on a TV it makes MK8 look extremely basic if you go back to it. Had a quick go at knockout and won the first one. Haven't delved into online and had a brief go at free roam which seemed cool, I think that would be better with friends tho. Plenty of characters and costumes to unlock and also stickers to customise the karts. Id say there is ALOT of content here and it's definitely worth the money. Cheaper if you get the bundle like I did. It worked out at £35 in the UK

@HammerKirby physical games are on the way out regardless. They will be gone by the next Nintendo system hopefully

@Kiyata Nintendo would rather you buy the switch 2 bundle with mario kart world in. I don't know why anyone would bother with the physical version anyway, it will definitely have a day one patch regardless which makes whatever is on the actual cartridge redundant. I've gone for the Bundle
