I play old games all the time. I'm generally able to keep in mind that they are old games, and sometimes gameplay mechanics and game design were not at their best.

I'm more afraid of replaying the same game too often and getting tired of it.

@Serpenterror You're asking a lot. Based on other collections from Konami, I wouldn't expect that many games in the same collection.

The 4 main SFC games for sure. Probably the 2 main FC games. Maybe the first GB game. If we're lucky, the 2 main N64 games, but Konami collections focus mostly on 2D sprite-based games.

This game is amazing. I recommend it to all Goemon fans. It's basically the first Goemon game in 18 years.

2023 was an amazing year for video games, but Mameda no Bakeru is easily my GOTY.

But yea it's easy. But that's fine, at least it's super fun.

I would go with Bouken Jidai Katsugeki Goemon on PS2. I was a big Goemon fan as a kid (and still am), and I was so excited for Bouken Jidai, but it never was released here. It took me 15 years to finally play it, after I learned enough japanese and imported a japanese PS2. It was a very special experience, to finally play an old game that I was so excited about as a kid.
The game is good, but it was made better by that context. If I could forget this game, I could relive that feeling.

The announcement of Mameda no Bakeru

I absolutely loved Disney Illusion Island, so I'm happy we'll get more content.
It's currently my GOTY 2023 (yes, above TOTK), but it will probably lose that spot when I'll finally receive my copy of Mameda no Bakeru

@RupeeClock Yep it's a shame. It will probably be easy to play even in japanese though, like most Goemon games. But it looks so good, it could do well outside Japan. So yep it's a shame...

Let's not forget Otogi Katsugeki Mameda no Bakeru: Oracle Saitarou no Sainan, which will probably be my GOTY.

@Incognito_D I disagree. Selling the Stadium games without any way to transfer Pokemon would be an insult (and probably why they were not available on Virtual Console on Wii and Wii U). Making the games available on the NSO service, without additional fee, is not an insult. It's not perfect, but it's better than nothing.

I'm overhyped for Mameda no Bakeru

Best announcement of the Direct. Goemon is my favorite video game series, I'm super excited for this game.

It was a really good Direct. And my highlight is not in that list because it's exclusive to the JP version of the Direct. Mameda no Bakeru, the Ganbare Goemon spiritual successor from Good Feel looks amazing and I can't contain my excitement.

@GameOtaku They are only available to subscribers as a mean to get more subscribers. If they were available in the eshop, a bunch of people would not subscribe to NSO

Like, you want to play Ocarina of Time, you have to get the NSO + Expansion Pack subscription. It's their business strategy.

People love it nowadays, but it was not love at first sight.

@StarPoint Might not mean anything. If they have 20 mins of stuff to showcase, it's indeed better to do it in its own direct instead of in the general direct. Smash Ultimate did that in 2018 and non-Smash fans didn't like it.

@TKundNobody I agree that it's confusing, and very bad naming, but Super Bomberman R and Super Bomberman R Online are two completely different games. Super Bomberman R is a traditional Bomberman game, with a story mode, and classic multiplayer. Super Bomberman R Online is a free-to-play battle royale game, it doesn't have a story mode or the classic multiplayer formula.
