Re: Feature: Dormant Nintendo Franchises We'd Like To See Return On Switch

Dizzy_Boy

This is where Nintendo really messed up with NST, they were the team that last worked on Wave Race and 1080. Without NST on full development duties, we'll never see them again as those 2 games as they weren't NoJ games.
It's just a shame that NoJ won't give up any kind of control and allow NoE and NoA/NST to publish their own games, or even work on franchises that are no longer in current rotation.

Re: Epic Games Acquires Rocket League Developer Psyonix

Rocket League on Steam will continue to be supported by Psyonix with updates, but it will eventually stop being sold on there.
The backlash Psyonix has been recieving so far is quite a thing to see. And to be honest, I'm not supprised, especially as people have mentioned that the Epic store has far less features and contains spyware.
For themost part, I don't think the majority will care about the take over, but for the minority it's a huge deal, and I think that with Epic's record, it's hardly suprising that people are mad about it.

Re: Random: Rocket League On Switch Gets A New HOME Menu Icon

@mist there are some common cosmetics that you unlock as you play through the game, but these are all the same stuff that everyone gets. Then you can get random drops after each time you rank up your XP meter, these include aerials, hats, banners, decals, wheels, boosts and paint styles. In the garage, you can trade up the random drops, 5 of one tier will give you 1 of the next.
This is where you can make the game pay for it's self. Using the trade up system in the garage, when you get to the point where you can trade up to painted versions of cars or wheels, if you get any painted octane or black wheels, people will trade some good items for them.
After each match, you might get a random crate drop, save these up, you could also trade a bunch of these with people for things like cars and wheels.
Both ways of trading will admittedly take a bit of time and patience, but it's better than wasting money on buying keys to open crates and filling your inventory with stuff you'll never use.
You can also link your game to a Twitch account if you have one, and if you watch the official Psyonix streams, you can also get random item drops that are only available from the stream, although you could trade for them if you want.

Re: Rumour: Switch Lite To Retain Docking Ability, Nintendo Still 'Experimenting' With More Powerful Model

@subpoz I'm not expecting portable hardware to be on par with home consoles.
I'm just fed up that Nintendo are happy to be lagging behind processing power on their consoles in genral. There's no reason the the Switch could've taken over from the 3DS and then have a more traditional console that keeps up with what Sony and Microsoft have.
As it is, I'm buying less of Nintendo's own games and more 3rd party games nowadays especially as most of what Nintendo have put on the Switch are rereleases of WiiU games.
It also doesn't help that the Switch is the least social platform out at the moment. The fact that people have to rely on phone apps to communicate is absolutrly ridiculous.
