Can you believe E3 is happening in less than two weeks? Well, we can't either. We're all keeping our fingers crossed for new Animal Crossing info, we obviously can't wait to hear who's joining Smash next and we're sure there'll be a smattering of surprises to enjoy as well. There's a lot to be excited for, but these announcements can have a tendency to overshadow the great games that launch in the month of June - and trust us, there's a lot of them.
Don't worry though, we've gone ahead and compiled a handy list of some of the coolest games coming out next month. Watch the video above for the full lowdown, and scroll down for spoilers and screenshots.

I read Battle Worlds: Kronos as Battle Worlds: Kratos. 😂
I'm definitely getting Mario Maker 2, and I might get Bloodstained as well. I liked Curse of the Moon a lot.
CTR and Mario Maker 2. E3 is the last break week before the storm of Switch releases.
Got CTR and SMM 2 on pre-order already, and will probs pick up Bloodstained as well. Great month for me!
Oh wow, I thought Three Houses comes out in June, turns out it’s July. Had my dates mixed up for some reason 🤔 But I’mma pass on everything in June, the act of building levels in Super Mario Maker never interested me and I feel like as a man with a somewhat limited schedule for leisure has no time to invest into it. And everything else just doesn’t appeal to me...
You can tell Super Neptunia RPG has 'split pin' animation just from the pic.
Super.
Mario.
Maker.
2
For me Already pre-purchased in the eShop.
And Bloodstained, because kickstarter.
I'm focusing to hunt older Nintendo games in June 2019.
And i'm still hunting for FF XII Switch USA version.
@Anti-Matter , what is specific to the US version?
Every time I read „Battle Worlds: Kronos“ I am wondering if there are Klingons in the game 😂
And will there be sequels like „Battle Worlds: Romulus“ or „Battle Worlds: Andoria“?
... seems I have watched too much Star Trek recently...
Just Mario Maker 2 limited edition preordered.
@Drussa
For FF XII Switch version, i want the USA version since i have FF XII PS4 USA version and i want to sell the PS4 version and buy the Switch version instead.
The region must be same since i'm collector and i don't want to bring home any games with PEGI 16 label, so i want the USA version since it rated TEEN by ESRB / rated CERO B / 12+ by Chinese rating.
WTF Battle Worlds: Kronos is a 2013 game with average rating.
Already prepared money for SMM2.
Can't see a lot outside of MM2 that excites me. If Battle Worlds reviews well I might give it a shot, but then if NecroZelda really does come out tomorrow I may be too busy...
Maybe pikmin 4 in 2020?
Another good month for the Switch. Mario Maker 2, CTR, Mutant Year Zero and Bloodstanied for sure. Might also get Kronos, SNRPG and Pedro if impressions are good.
Super Mario maker 2
Bloodstained
Mutant
Crash Team Racing
Will get crash for ps4 as have Mario kart will get others for switch.
Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden Looks cool! Anyone played it?
I'm so ready for Slay the Spire and Maker 2
Mario Maker for sure. Got my eye on Neptunia, Bloodstained, and Mutant Year Zero as well.
Bloodstained is the only one on my wish list atm
I'd like to get CTR but in all honesty I'll be getting SMM2 and that'll do me for the year.
@Supadav03 how about Suikoden for Switch!
A good-looking lineup for sure.
Not sure I'll be getting any immediately, but at least half those shown will probably make it onto my Switch eventually.
Pedro's probably top of the list, unless I stumble upon a great deal for MM2.
That mutant game looks worth paying some attention to.
Where's the cheapest place to pre order Mario Maker 2 in the UK?
@NintendoFan4Lyf
Some games with "confusing" age rating like FF XII, FF XIII, The Sims series i must consider them carefully.
FF XII & FF XIII rated TEEN/ CERO B / PEGI 16
The Sims series rated TEEN/ CERO C/ PEGI 12
Here, i only allowed until TEEN for USA version, CERO B for Japan version, PEGI 12 for Europe version.
For the game above case, i checked their age ratings from Three different regional.
FF XII and FF XIII was rated TEEN and CERO B, age rating i allowed but the Europe version they rated PEGI 16, possibly for their storyline. But after i investigate the violence level, i saw the violence level were still safe for me and still looked like general Teen RPG games. But, i still don't want to bring home any PEGI 16 games because there are some PEGI 16 games were rated Mature by ESRB or possibly CERO C, the age rating i banned. So, the number of 16 was still bias, it could be like Teen games or it could be like Mature games. Same case as CERO C (for 15+ years old). Some CERO C games are Mature games or Teen games.
Pardon of my complicated explanation about age rating i allow.😅
I just only want my games at my home with age rating i approved.
@LavaTwilight You already know I’m all over that! Ever since Konami started announcing all these collections I’ve been holding out hope for a Suikoden Collection too. I’d gladly pay for the first 5 main line games to be ported over.
@Joe-b Pikmin 4 will be available straight after the E3 Direct. You know it. Has to be true. Period! Arrrrggghhhhhh give me Pikmin 4 please!!
I wasn’t bothered about SMM2 having invested many many hours into the first and got MM fatigue. But then I saw all the new features and the rest, including some excited screaming and a preorder, is history.
Not listed here but terraria and mario maker 2 here
Will pick super Mario maker 2!
@Supadav03 ha! Likewise. Even Suikoden Tactics I found to be quite enjoyable as far as turn-based strategies are concerned. I'm still waiting for Suikoden 6.
@beazlen1 Here's hoping but unlikely. They should announce something though. Maybe rereleases straight after Direct with a Q3/4 release window for Pikmin 4. That also feels like wishful thinking somehow...
@gcunit full price is a great deal for SMM2 imo
Not sure why I’m not getting excited for MARIO maker. Never played it but just a bit over MARIO platforming perhaps? I’m glad others are getting hyped though. For me, I’d love to see Witcher 3 and of course, Animal Crossing!
As an aside p, Fuze coding has been a little delayed but is on the way too. I had a nice little back and forth with the developer. So I’m hoping that will scratch my tinker itch
Crash Racing and bloodstained for sure!
Hoping for some good reviews of My friend Pedro... with some meat over all the slomo flying murdering rampage.... Wich was the nicest thing Of this Ndirect...
Mario Maker 2 and Bloodstained,
Also Slay the Spire Ive never heard of but looks really cool!
Mario maker 2 and possibly bloodstained.
Mario Maker 2 physical for sure, so I can share levels with my nephew. I'm going to wait on Bloodstained - I will at least buy digital at some point. I just don't have time for too many games and have to pick my battles. I do hope it does well (assuring the game is as good as people have hoped).
@Grumblevolcano Those are the 2 games I want, as well! Hoping these upcoming weeks come slowly, so I can make some dough.
Too many good games this year, will have to skip some 🙁. Mario Maker for sure. Also Dragon Quest Builders 2, even though it's not listed.
@beazlen1 hahaha! I hope so!
Kronos, CTR and Mario Maker
@NintendoFan4Lyf
Okay, here the things i allow:
1. Mild Violence (Mario games), Mild Fantasy Violence, Fantasy Violence (Kingdom Hearts), Violence (Street Fighter, Teen Final Fantasy games)
2. Mild Language / Mild Lyrics (Rhythm games)
3. Alcohol Reference (Cooking Mama)
4. Partial nudity
5. Mild Suggestive theme, Suggestive theme
6. Mild Blood (FF III NDS), Animated Blood (FF XII)
7. Crude Humor (LEGO CITY Undercover, The Sims)
8. Moderate Sexual theme (The Sims)
9. Comical Mischief (My Sims)
10. Simulated Gambling (My Sims DS, bomberman Land 3 PS2)
I don't allow every single games with rated Mature / CERO C or D or Z / PEGI 16 or 18 no matter what contents inside, doesn't care if i can turn On / Off the blood, etc.
I set my strict gaming rules in my place because i don't want evil games at my place, so only games with rating Everyone, Everyone10+, Teen / CERO A and B / PEGI 3, 7 & 12 I allow to be in my gaming place.
CTR and Mario Maker 2 for me
Glad Mutant Year Zero is coming to Switch, brilliant game!
Mutant Year Zero better have a physical release!
Furwind is continuously catching my eye as well!
I can't wait to get Super Mario Maker 2 to find out what kind of crazy things people are going to come up with. and, I'll probably pick up My Friend Pedro, that game looks really fun.
@NintendoFan4Lyf
I'm not a fan of Teen games actually.
Only a few Teen games i allowed.
I determine which Teen games i allow or not by judging these first:
1. Cover art and title words
2. Genre
3. Contents inside
Teen games i allowed such as general JRPG, Boxing / Kickboxing games, Fighting games like Street Fighter with Animated violence, The Sims games, Cartoonish shooting game (I played Metroid Prime Federation Force 3DS for the first time ever).
I don't allow Uncharted series to be in my gaming room due too mature looking, intense of using guns,
rough violences despite still rated Teen but rated PEGI 16. I just only judge from the cover + the game genre and i can tell that game is not allowed due to some inappropriate contents from that game.
Movie or any TV programs do the same things. Maximum age rating i allow is PG or 13+. But for some rare case like America's Next Top Model with 16+ age rating for some episodes due to LGBT contents, kissing, covered nude photoshoot, etc i still "allowed" but after i observed them very carefully. Also, used to be i have ever watched CSI Miami / New York from AXN long time ago but i don't watch them anymore due to my tight restrictions i made nowadays.
I'm not a movieholic so i don't really care what's new from movies nowadays, but only Disney movies (As long not Marvel or Star Wars or any Western superhero franchises), kids cartoons, kids / a few Teen Animes i allow to watch.
Crash team racing
Furwind was pretty bad and monotonous when I layed it. All aboard for Mario maker 2!
So am I to understand that Cadence of Hyrule is not a wonderful new game?
I'm skipping all of those. I'll be getting Wolfenstein Youngblood deluxe to be able to play with my other switches at home. Animal Crossing and Pokemon for the end of the year.
@vanYth Lol dude me too.
Mutant Year Zero was delayed to the end of July a week ago. Too bad that month different would have been HUGE for sales.
Man only one person showing love towards Slay the Spire. I'm disappointed.
If someone had told me 25 years ago that gaming in 25 years would be lots of 2D games, I wouldn't have believed it.
Super Mario Maker 2, of course <3
@Anti-Matter u lost me when u said evil games. There's no evil game.
Just Crash for me
wow let the funds ahem fun start.....
This is gonna be the start of an excellent summer of games. June and July both have lots of games I am interested in.
Crash, Bloodstained, and Mario Maker for me this month!
Super Mario Maker 2 of course. And also Super Neptunia RPG. (I wish they'd port the other Neptunia games to Switch as well!)
@Anti-Matter When a game is rated T in the US but Pegi 16 elsewhere you'll buy the T game but not he Pegi 16 game even when it is the same game?
I understand wanting to keep certain content out of your games but that seems like jumping through some crazy hurdles just for a slightly different label.
@andjahiam Superman 64 is an evil game.
Happy to see Slay the Spire coming to Switch! I probably won't double-dip since I already have it on PC, but I've put something like 60 hours into it. Very fun game if anyone's looking for a highly replayable roguelike deckbuilder.
MM2, CTR and Bloodstained - depending on reviews. MM2 I'll get immediately. The other two I'll wait for sales if the reviews aren't glowing.
@Heavyarms55
For FF XII case, i add with one more age rating (Chinese) to check the contents inside.
The Chinese age rating rated at 12+, that means like PEGI 12.
Based on Four age rating i used :
USA = Teen (Approved)
Japan = CERO B (Approved)
Europe = PEGI 16 (Rejected)
Chinese = 12+ (Approved)
Three Yes, One No and the verdict is.... Yes, i allow that game to be played.
Kinda like Got Talent audition system, if more No than Yes that means the game rejected. But, there are some specific rules of Rejection.
If the games have age ratings Mature / CERO D or Z / PEGI 18 even just on one version only, i will instantly BAN those games without further investigation.
Like these case :
1. Mature / CERO B / PEGI 12 (Persona games) = One Hell No
2. Teen / CERO D / PEGI 16 / 18+ on Chinese (Horizon Zero Dawn PS4) = One No, Two Hell No
Bloodstained.
It's Christmas come early.
It will never be bad, the only question is how good.
Seems like forever it's been in the VG news, dumping the Wii U and pissing off it's Kickstarter backers
The Switch has lost its luster with an endless amount of indie games and mediocre first party ones.
@Anti-Matter Maybe I misunderstood your comment, I thought you said you were importing the USA version of FF12 because it was rated T and not the Pegi 16 version. What I find strange is, both games are effectively entirely the same, it's just that different regions have different rating systems and was surprised you'd go out of your way just so the rating on the box matches.
Mario Maker 2 for sure.
@Heavyarms55
I know FF XII USA and Europe version are SAME games with different age rating.
But my gaming rules is still very strict rules.
I don't allow any PEGI 16 / CERO C games inside my gaming room since those age rating are still very bias, so for the case of FF XII and The Sims games, i avoid Europe version of FF XII (PEGI 16) and i avoid Japanese version of The Sims games (CERO C).
I consider FF XII USA (Teen) / Japan version (CERO B) and The Sims games USA (Teen) / Europe version (PEGI 12).
@Anti-Matter But if you know they are the same game, what do the rating on the label matter to you? Is it just about consistency?
@Heavyarms55
I'm consistent with my gaming rules.
It also does the same thing with other games.
I have collect a lot of safe for kids / still appropriate enough games with label Everyone / Everyone 10+ / Teen / CERO A or B / PEGI 3 , 7 & 12.
I don't want to taint my games collection with label PEGI 16 / CERO C / Mature age ratings, as i realize those age rating are for adult gamer. It's against my faith if i put those games with restricted age rating on my Safe for kids gaming area.
I have ever showed you my video game collections inside my shelf and they were 100% Safe for watch and play games, including my decorative stuffs such as my Chibi Boxer pictures, Amiibos, Pokemon figures, Mario figures, etc.
I have my faith (Against adult games and entertainments) like that not just only for myself, but also i concern with kids nowadays who play inappropriate games that tainted their innocence and made their behaviours worse.
@Anti-Matter So you are saying that a game with a label marking it as Pegi-16 that is the same game as a game marked at Teen would taint your collection? That's some serious dedication to purity...
I understand where you are coming from, with regards to children playing adult oriented titles. But it's not the games that are making the behaviors of the children worse. It is the parents/guardians' fault.
If a parent is allowing their children to be warped by games, books, TV, etc... it is the parent(s) not doing their jobs. Parents must reward good behavior and punish bad behavior. Parents must communicate with their children and their children's schools. Any parent who doesn't do this is a failure.
Games, books, TV, toys, etc... those are just things.
I will only get SMM2. Spent too much on games, but Mutant Year Zero I've put off getting on PC so I am tempted to get it for the Switch to fill my Xcom void.
Also Slay the Spire was a super fun game and I sunk more time into that then I ever expected
Im just waiting for Fire Emblem.
Here's my take: if any of those games are eShop only that is a turn off. In this day and age Switch buyers will buy physical games that should be evidently clear now in 2019.
My Friend Pedro: Physical
Slay the Spire: Physical
Refunct: Physical
Battle Worlds: Kronos : eShop and Physical (already got Physical)
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled: Physical (PreOrder)
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night: Physical (I think LRG was the Classic version----ugh)
Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden: Physical (PreOrdered)
Super Neptunia RPG: Physical (PreOrdered CE version)
We. the Revolution: Physical
Furwind: Physical
Super Mario Maker 2: Physical (got PreOrdered CE version)
I have SD space limitations so that is why having Physical is the smart move.
@PerishSong lol, suppose ur right. 🤔
