"Ni No Kuni Wrath of The White White"
@Kayvoo Haha, I'll fix that.
And yes, there are a few games more than 75% off, I'm assuming Nintendo has set that number due to some regional variations.
Nintendo of America… where you at?
There are only a few games I'm quite interested in left on my wish list these days but I'll have a look to see if any of them are on sale as I do every week. Still got over AU$200 of eShop credit after stocking up when the cards were on sale so I'm ready to spend if there's any good deals.
I'd rather see them start and end a week later (although chances are, they would still troll me by picking January 5 as the later deadline 😏), but welcome news anyway. Time and the full list will tell what I may end up pulling the trigger on.
Oh no, I'm still recovering from the Black Friday sale
My friend got me some eShop credit just a few days ago as a birthday gift, so this sale is well timed. Will have a look tomorrow.
Finally! Rayman Legends gets discounted!
I’ll be checking my Switch wish list on Thursday evening 😊
I wonder if I will see the DLC sale for Breath of the Wild ever again...
Looks like the regular crowd so far to me, but I'm sure my 300+ games wishlist will have some good deals. I've been eyeing Baba Is You.
But 35% off on Hot Wheels sounds promising, too!
@Kayvoo That white sure is angry.
I know that Ni No Kuni isn't the remastered edition, but they do this discount ALL. THE. TIME.
Is the Switch port decent? Haven't played it since the PS3 days.
Deep discount on Calculator? Been on the wish list for a while now
Trials of Mana 50% off - I'll take that!
It's not an eShop sale without DB Fighterz, Mario + Rabbids and probably UNO (which isn't on the list but will more than likely be on sale)
I'm going to caution against Ni No Kuni actually. Fantastic game that crashes frequently on Switch. They're selling it that cheap for a reason, sorry to say.
As a father of three girls under the age of three, the Switch had become my main platform. Man, my backlog is getting big. I just cant help myself, lol. Sure hope their next machine is back compat.
Currentæy nearing the end of Octopath Traveller (great game). It almost took me three months. Any recommendations on good, short(er) games to look out for?
Well, there goes my X-mas Bonus
Hello again Resident Evil 4 - Only 25% off again huh?
You're not getting any younger, you know.
@ThomasBW84 Same on Sony and Xbox. Always max 75%. In reality it's up to 90% on them and 98% off on Switch.
@citizenerased 300 games on your wishlist!? Man, I need to step up my game. I've also been eying Hot Wheels - hopefully NA gets a deal on it soon.
Also, very aMUSEing name you have
I love when nintendolife posts how much the games are off percentage wise, but doesn't post the actual sale prices.
Switch only? or 3DS as well?
@Kimyonaakuma I got it on black Friday and as a first time player, I'm loving it. Looks great even on my Switch Lite and after 15 hours haven't had any frame rate issues or anything.
Guess its time to load up Deku Deals and have a whizz through. Probably will finish in half the time I’d spent scrolling through the eShop itself.
I already have a few titles on sale I want to pick up today like Romancing Saga 2 & 3.
I also hope the Mega Man Zero collection goes on sale again soon. Decided to skip earlier this month and now listening to the soundtrack makes me want to fire them up. Unfortunately my Analogue Pocket ain’t reaching me till January.
@Kimyonaakuma Ni No kuni is a good port and plays just as you would expect a switch game to play. It’s a bargain really.
It's always the same games lol.
Games like Borderlands, Bioshock and Outer Worlds are already on sale for NA eShop so that might be worth looking into as well.
Think it's time I finally got Cuphead. Might get No More Heroes too as I enjoyed the Wii original, the second game is better though.
@Kimyonaakuma it plays and looks great imo
@BLD I don’t think I ever had a crash when I played it on Switch. Great game
I hope some NeoGeo and Arcade Archives games are in the sale.
@BLD I also have never once had it crash despite putting many hours into it!
@BLD I played it for 150 hrs and it might have crashed once
And I haven't even bought the SaGa games yet December is not a month where I have a lot of money to spend.
@dmcc0
Don’t forget lego games and okami
The only thing from the list that I am interested in is no more heroes (and I assume 2 will be on sale also). I have the Wii versions but getting both at €10 each is a price I am good with. I will see what else is on sale when I get home tonight.
My backlog and wishlist are so large that I can't remember if I have already downloaded the Hot Wheels game or not. That is not cool. I may investigate that one. I'll scroll my wishlist for other those wee "red bars" that indicate sales and see if I can plunge into the budget.
The vast majority if that list put up there has already been "dealt with"....
@Alpacachino As a young father, if been getting really hooked on roguelikes, which are a lot shorter and usually have a very high replay value. Easy to pick up, easy to put down.
Since you mention Octopath traveler, I'm guessing you'll want to go for turn-based (with a twist) again. My recommendation would be Star Renegades. Not sure if it will be part of the sale though.
Due to European tax, some of these discounted games are still more expensive than the standard price in USA.
Trust me if you want the best laugh you’ll have today. Go on eshop sales on Dekudeals, sort by metacritic user score. I almost died.
Any idea what time this goes live?
@mainstream05 Knowing them busy copy and pasting the same list of games they always put on sale haha
You forgot to list two of the greatest deals:
Saints Row IV: 2.79 EUR
Giana Sisters - Twisted Dreams: 0.99 EUR
Both are all time low prices.
You're welcome.
Seems like the same discounts on the same titles as always. No FOMO here.
@r0mer0 the first Puyo Puyo Tetris hasn't been discounted in ages. Although I still didn't end up getting it.😅 But I got Songbird Symphony (also expiring today) which is not the all-time low but the otherwise lowest it's been in 1.5 years, so if you have spare funds and fancy a cute metroidvania with rhythm game elements, take a closer look.
Some games like Saints Row IV, Giana Sisters and Sine Mora EX have hit "any cheaper would be a giveaway" lows this sale as well.
@construx Giana Sisters for that price is a must if you're into platformers
I didn't know Guardians of the Galaxy was available for the Switch. But as it's the cloud version, I don't think it'll ever be playable for me
I must confess I didn't buy any in the sale as I had all the ones I wanted. Which were the vast majority
@nhSnork As you said Saints Row, Giana Sisters and Sine Mora EX are at nearly giveaway prices, I've picked up all 3.
Finally picked up Trailblazers for an extremely reasonable £4.99, been thinking about getting that for a while. If your into F Zero combined with Splatoon it's well worth getting.
Picked up;
Guacamelee
Guacamelee 2
Yoku’s Island Express
Blue Fire
Cuphead
I’m only spent about £30, if that. Should keep me busy for a while…!
Finished Yoku's Island Express yesterday (well, decided to stop at 88%), and it was so much fun, can't recommend enough. Finally a metroidvania that's not too punishing.
Finally picked up streets of rage 4 and I bloody love it! Also got spiritfarer after enjoying the demo, got both with a vocuher I received for Christmas
Now gotta wait 2 whole days for the inevitable New Years sales.
@BANJO yeah, Trailblazers has been on my wishlist for ages, but didn't make it to my holiday splurge cart either. When said cart is already a bit over 30 games, you need to draw the line somewhere (especially since the early month paydays have contained the salary's glaringly lesser half these last months, so I'm trying to save up a bit for that upcoming fortnight, too).😅 But here's to getting my hands on it eventually.
Incidentally, after the aforementioned splurge led me to temporarily yeet racers like Grid Autosport and NFS overboard, my vehicular urges on Switch have been mostly covered by Mudrunner this week (an old purchase and not on sale now but still seems recurrently discounted overall). Hard to imagine any other driving game that could be so zen and so nuts at the same time.😄
Just browsing through Deku Deals and noticed Bug Fables at 50% off - not noticed it before in the sale (just reduced today?) but lowest price ever at £13.49 and an absolute steal!
@Gwynbleidd thank you. I’m halfway thru Guacamelee and loving it.
As for Blue Fire… it’s like a 3D cross between Hollow Knight and Zelda. Apparently. Fingers crossed it’s good.
I was going to get remothered tormented father's but heard the switch version is a mess so I'm going to wait for it to go on sale on ps4
@nhSnork I just checked, I've picked up 9 Switch games and 3 Xbox games in the sale, all for the RRP of roughly one new title (£40.00 ish)
I thought that was quite enough but it's nowhere near your 30 plus games...
Yes, I agree you have to draw the line somewhere.
Mudrunner is great, I found it took abit of getting into but was a fun title once you have found your stride. As you say, peaceful but nuts in equal measures 🤣
@BANJO heh, my haul cost me a bit over 12k rubles (plus all the gold points I got out of them)... but that would have been below three AAA full-pricers on my main account's eShop even before the related currency took another nosedive to euro and first party prices shot up. Even after the recent minor price adjustment, items of, say, FE3H league go for about 5000 now, so I basically got 31 items for, uh, 2.5 "new title RRPs"?😆 Or maybe 37 for the roughly three if I throw in four 3DS discounts and two Steam ones from the same splurge. Moral: "Switch tax" is only more or less a thing if you're interested in nothing but big Nintendo exclusives - but if it's your portable heaven for third parties, eShop isn't starkly different from Steam.😏
Heck, we just got another big sale kicked off - and while the first party stuff is at the traditional 33% off, you have Haven and Ori at 50%, Valkyria Chronicles 4 at 70%, Crawl and Pinstripe at 80% and Red Faction Guerilla... at 93%, pretty much taking the torch from Saints Row 4.😄
@Moistnado Most Americans pay sales tax on digital downloads too. It's just not included in the price you see online because it's calculated at checkout and varies by state.
@nhSnork That's certainly a fine haul, 37 games for 3 new rrps. That will last you a while.
I didn't even think about picking up any for my 3DS... I might have a quick look before the sale ends... 😏
Yes, the discounts have been really steep for this sale, making many games comparable to Steam prices, it's good to see.. 😀
Not another sale....
Red Faction Guerilla sounds like a possibility at that discount and Valkyria Chronicles 4 looks tempting. I must restrain myself from many more purchases, I won't have time to play them all... 😂
@scottishwildcat whenever I have used the USA stores, I always chose the state with the lowest tax.
