Last year in June, Fabraz - the team behind the excellent 2D platformer Slime-san - lifted the lid on a brand new 3D platformer "with attitude" known as Demon Turf.
It was more recently confirmed it would be published by Playtonic Friends (the same developer behind Yooka-Laylee) and now it looks like we've got a release date. According to a listing on the Switch eShop, Demon Turf should be arriving early next month on 4th November.
Here's a bit about it, along with a look:
"The Demon World is inhabited by all kinds of nasties… Most of them lumped into gangs battling for dominion, each led by its own head honcho. Yet even these bad dudes are no match for the Demon King himself! Instead, the task falls to Beebz, a young demon barely a thousand years old, who decides it’s time for her to kick every turf leader’s butt and become the Demon Queen herself."
Does this look like your kind of 3D platformer? Leave a comment down below.

Interesting take on 3D platformers having the player control an animated 2D sprite. Color me intrigued. I'm presuming the price will be fair if Slime-san is anything to go by.
Been waiting for this. I've been meaning to hop back into the demo on Steam. It's fun!
Not quite sure what to think of that. In ways it just looks silly to the point of ridiculous and then it looks brilliant. Will have to wait for reviews for sure.
Will people accpet the main character's animations, purposely animated at a low, sticky frame rate?
These guys also made Skellboy, right? That game was decent fun
This looks dope. Super dope.
I love the style of this one but whether or not I buy it will come down to how well it plays. It's hard to say for sure either way from the trailers so I'll wait for some reviews/impressions.
Here comes Niko was a huge disappointment(That game also use animated 2d sprites and was released this year). I'll put my faith in this one.
This -LOOKS- cool.
I'm very intrigued.
Looks adorable. I'll be interested if the controls feel good.
I am not a fan of this art style, especially the main character. I'll probably pass on this game, which is unfortunate because I love 3D platformers.
I think people are dismissing how good the level design and movement looks in this game, because of the artstyle. I've played the demo and the movement feels so good. I'm expecting this to be one of the best 3D platformers ever made. Hope it lives up to that.
Define "stylish". The artstyle for this game looks awful.
@Liam_Doolan Is this coming to PS4 as well? 🤔
@TowaHerschel7 Yeah, it is - there's a trailer up on the Playtonic Friends YouTube you can check out.

😔 I really need more frames of animation
I also really don't like the main character's animation. everything else looks fun, but the main character art does not look polished enough
I am kind of put off by the sound effects of the main character jumping and since that is the main component of a 3D platformer, I don't know if I could ignore it. Also, the graphics style are kind of hit or miss with me. Some great areas to look at as you are exploring at least though. I am not sure if I am interested in this one myself.
Finally...a release date. Way later than expected but I was worried this became vaporware so it's better than radio silence.
I am intrigued! It looks super cool.
This remind me ofJumping Flash from the Playstation 1.
Anybody remember that game?
Nice style, but we’re drowning in platform games
@rayGMR that clock-themed level looks like a 1-to-1 recreation of Tick Tock Clock (see the clip @ 0:58). So yeah, great level design. Someone else’s.
@Scrubicius it's one of my favorite games ever!! But what about this game made you think of Jumping Flash?
@gaga64 Those are bonus levels in the arcade not the main attraction. There are couple more Mario recreations in the game I'll admit, but you fixate on 1 shot from a 90 second trailer full of wild level designs. The 3 levels in the demo ARE original and were great fun to break with the moveset.
the demo on PC was good!! although i would have liked a few more directions drawn in the sprites, like whatever it is maybe 8? changed to 12 or something.
@rayGMR there were other shots that looked overly familiar, but that bit stood out as going over and above borrowing ideas and homages. But if you say it’s just a bonus level and the rest of the demo is great, maybe I’ll give it a shot.
@Yodalovesu The jumping...
Anybody know if this is being released physically? It would be terrific if they would put out all 3 of their games available on switch on one cartridge as a collection.
The level design at 00:57-1:00 in the trailer is directly from Tick Tock Clock in Mario 64. It is 1:1. I hope it's supposed to be an obvious homage, and not an attempt to copy pre-existing games.
This game has just looks sick as hell. Been waiting on this one for a while. Can't wait to try it out
What is going on in that picture?
