We'll kick things off with some new story screenshots. We can't wait to see how Kirby's adventure will unfold after looking at these...
Exciting stuff, right? Let's move on to some wider gameplay screens:
A closer look at how a second player can play as Waddle Dee:
And back to more shots of Kirby's adventure:
And finally, a look at some of the varied locations you'll be exploring:
How good does this look?! Feel free to share your thought with us in the comments!

It's definitely very pretty. Been a while since we've had a fully original platformer with that bigger budget feel from Nintendo.
I am in tears. This is beautiful.
They had me sold at the Waddle Dee cafe
Looks absolutely fantastic! Nintendo always knew how to get the best out of their systems.
Honestly, the OG trailer didn't do a ton for me, but this, THIS looks fantastic. It has that classic Kirby cuteness with every single shot. I love the Waddle Dee cafe, I love that Kirby has a gun, I love everything. I can't wait for this game now
This is looking pretty cool. Nice to see that there's co-op.
RRGGGHHHYESSSSS. YEAH!! Is it March yet?!
Looks beautiful.
I’ll wait for a review but it looks a lot of fun- it’s basically Kirby Odyssey and that’s no bad thing
The addition of multiplayer puts this game back on the radar for me
Waddle dee cafe... Need I say more?
@StarPoint I think i'm going to start thinking before being a critic for these things.
This would be the 2nd or 3rd time (For me) the first trailer for a nintendo game didn't really look the best, and then all of a sudden the next trailer It blows me away.
I have no doubt that somewhere in Japan you can find those Kirby burgers for real.
Would I like to hear the latest information from around the world? No, but I'm going to let you tell me, anyway.
Also, Nintendo/HAL seem to have plans for Kirby's 30th and I'm all for it.
I can't stress this enough, either. This game looks awesome. March 25th will be here before we know it, so I'm hyped.
Okay this is looking pretty awesome. Might just be a day 1 purchase.
@OldManHermit there actually is a Kirby Cafe in Japan. And those burgers and modeled after the ones served there.
Damn, that looks good
I'm happy for those who gets excited for a new Kirby, but the history of lack of difficulty keeps me away from also being.
Hope I'm wrong this time, but I will definitely wait for the reviews.
@Clark2k It is definitely going to boil down to the difficulty for me as well. I really hope that there’s a “Hard mode” option, or at least the base game has some challenge and it isn’t just mindless running like in Star Allies.
@patbacknitro18 Ah well there ya go. If I ever find myself in Japan I'll have to try one.
I don't know why, but this reminds me of Bomberman64. I'm really excited!
Never played a Kirby before. This is looking like it might be but first. Really like the looks and variety
This proves that great lighting effects makes a big difference. It is perhaps the most important optimization for any AAA Switch game.

@OldManHermit Look up Kirby Cafe. The food is all adorable.
Edit: whoops, someone beat me to it. But still! Look at the cute food!
I have never been a huge Kirby fan, but I am looking forward to this game. It is always exciting when Nintendo transition one of their 2D games to 3D. Don't know if it will do for Kirby what OoT, Mario 64 and Metroid Prime did for their respective fanchises, but I can hope!
This game looks incredible. I'm super excited to play this in March.
Day 1 Purchase for Me and another Purchase for my Son!!!
@Poodlestargenerica Correction: call of duty is a baby game.
This could potentially be the best Nintendo game this year. You can tell by the trailer that its gonna be loaded with fun gameplay and content. The areas all look unique and varied. Seems like a lot of love was put into this. Looking forward to get it on March!
HEAVY Bomberman 64 vibes from this. I went from ”…”MEH” to “GIMME NOW!” real quick.
I honestly don’t even want to read or see much more than this so it’s a surprise, but know that Nintendo won me over with this new info!
This co-op screen shot has me leaning towards Day 1 since knowing Nintendo it will still be $60 5 years from now when Kirby DX releases on Switch 2 for $70 so no point in waiting.

The only thing I would like to hear is game length. Kirby games tend to be really short to me w/o a lot of replay value. My kids finished Epic Yarn in like 6 hours. The 3 of us finished Star Allies also in about 6 hours. Rainbow Curse was about the same. Not sure about the 3DS pair of games but probably about the same. No matter how cute a game is $60 for 6 hours is a hard sell for me. I'll probably be able to borrow it from my library free in a few months like I did w/ Pokemon Snap and Monster Hunter Rise last summer. 12 hours I can justify a full price purchase, though I did play MHR for 30 hours when I borrowed it for a week, but I'd like to own this 1 if there's enough there to own. 🤷♂️
@Poodlestargenerica Star Allies is Fantastic! Yes I was disappointed by how extremely easy it was, but Kirby is very strong. I'm hoping the difficulty is more difficult for the 3D Adventure. But I still wouldn't call Star Allies a baby game, I still enjoy it.
I just used COD as an example because some people think just because a game doesn't have animated blood or cussing in it automatically makes it a "baby's game".
This should be my all-time Switch game because I kid you not, blowout Blast is one of my favorite games ever. This looks like the game I dream about when playing blowout blast.
For his neutral special-
Kirby and the Forgotten Land joining Switch best graphics along side Luigi Mansion 3 e Super Mario Odyssey.
Mostly curious about what modes the game will have, and also if this game will have any secret bosses as well. Also hoping that the "true arena" or whatever it'll be called in this game, has a new variation of the final boss or new phase or something.
Star Allies hardest arena mode, I dunno the final battle didn't feel too different. I remember Triple Deluxe's True Arena had a completely new phase to the final boss and it was a nightmare trying to beat it. xD
Ooooookay, fine. I'm excited for it now. Looks like Kirby is finally getting a modern "full length" outing that doesn't sacrifice the simpler art style and feel/look.
The most exciting take away is that multiplayer is confirmed.
That bridge at the end looks super cool. Really excited to see what other locations this game will have!
Looks quite lovely actually. Looking forward to it!
For Kirby's latest ability, he wields a gun.
(I just had to type this when I gave Kirby's new gun ability some thought, lol)
