Wonder was my least favorite Mario game.

.. and I have no desire to reward Nintendo by paying for a port with minimal upgrades

Not going to encourage their greed

What were the sales figures like?
I wonder if they had dlc planned, but the game didn’t sell gangbusters or something?

(Which wouldn’t surprise me - two kart racers in same year and all that)

Always interesting to see people complain about how ai or Netflix, or whatever is going to kill films or games, and so instead will pirate said product instead,

I’m hoping for huge lotr style sweeping vistas of georgious landscapes, etc..

Been trying to read review on my phone. Honestly NintendoLife, have you tried viewing any of your pages on a phone, I can’t scroll more than 2 lines of the review before an intrusive ad appears!

I have mario kart. Why would I get another kart racer on same platform in same year?

@Switching : personally I find it fascinating that people need to have digital foundry tell them whether or not a game looks good.

I don’t own a switch 2 (can’t justify it to myself for a single game I want to play on it). The reason Dk Bonanza doesn’t appeal to me is the visual style. Everything I’ve seen of it, the shiney plastic look doesn’t appeal. Call me a snob

I’m saying it’s impressive how well it’s selling despite the lack of decent titles… and how overpriced they are.

If the (insert console here) had similar launch line up, or worse, and still sold that many, I’d be saying the exact same thing

but they sold relative to the lack of must have games.
I didn’t say it was bad, just think it’s impressive it’s done so well, even though the launch line up has (so far) sucked (notice you named two games which aren’t even out yet), and are stupidly priced
I’m impressed! I’m not being nasty towards it.
I will admit I wish it wasn’t this successful, as right now Nintendo are being rewarded for their greed - they only learn when people do opposite (see how they decreased price of 3ds, which turned that from failing machine to a big seller)

EDIT : should point out, price isn’t a problem for me. But I like my kids to buy their own games to learn value for money .. and I need them to gave someone to play with

@axelhander : oh the “pirates would never play a game if they couldn’t get them free”” argument… but that argukent is out of the window when he’s selling pirated games! Thus showing they would pay for them! And yes, hes profiting .. so yes it is the same as your boss deciding to not pay you for your work, because they weren’t going to pay you anyway.

I’ve played virtual boy (original), the red.. hurts.. if they don’t offer other colours, we’ll, it’s Nintendo, of course they won’t, half assed job - maximum price

Where’s option for “maybe, if they give option for something other than Red, and stop taking the P on the price? For example, let us download our own templates for cardboard, etc”

There aren’t lenses or mirrors, so why not just allow people the download/print and cut their own?

Of only the two half decent exclusive games available , they both get awards. Hardly a surprise.

Imho Mario kart world wouldn’t get a sniff of an award of there was actually anything else half decent out (I’m sure Kirby will surpass it)

@cagriggs : nah. Kirby is November, they won’t do two games in one month.

My money is on a new direct in next couple weeks, Metroid October, Kirby November, new game (possibly Mario) December… plus big game for 2026

Heck, if my market were old enough, I’d license “chorlton and the wheelies”, lol. But only old people, like me, would get that reference

@HeadPirate : Well yes. But it wont stop the Daily mail from setting up a story where they have their reporters kids have a group chat and then have someone appear naked on the 4th camera... Sort of thing the daily mail loves doing...

With regards to camera : I fully expect to see stories of “my child saw a naked person on their Nintendo - ban this filth” within a week of the switch 2 launching

I dont play games on the move, and im worried about battery life on switch 2 for that purpose.
But I want to play nintendo games.
But I dont want to pay more than the price of a ps5.

Can they innovate by having a switch 2 light which is a standard console and not handheld for half the price?
