@Lofty1985 : and what principle is that? “I’m going to run out of this barbers without paying, out of the principle that they sued the last guy who didn’t pay”.
Entitled gamers strike again! “But I didn’t actually steal anything from the barber”.
Never understood some people who think games are free to make and should be free to play, and the people making them don’t deserve anything for their work that you enjoy…
I’m gonna hazard a guess that it was due to Amazon constantly sending games out before the release date. The only reason I used to buy switch games on Amazon, was I could get them a few days before official release.
@JDCII : Actually, if you read my other comment, i said it's not great (IMHO). But that has nothing to do with framerates that people who havent even played it are going on about.
even more reason im p-ed off with nintendo for cheaping out and not having voice acting. They cant even have the "we cant have a voice actor for link" excuse. And they still charge full price.
@MARl0 : The emperors (Digital foundry) clothing. Framerate issues no-one notices until they're told they're there... And suddenly become the most important thing. Utter nonsense.
Links Awakening had major framerate issues in places.. this does not. Unless they happen much later in game to where i've gotten to.
I suspect people moaning about frame rate have either not played it, and are just regurgitating stuff they've read online. Or are playing a pirated non patched copy.
Im expecting lots of people commenting about framerate, who've not even played the thing (I've seen no framerate problems since the patch).
But Im not really enjoying it that much, the boss fights are tedious, and it just feels like a dumbed down version of zelda.. Im hoping it gets better later on.
As it currently stands, after 10 hours ish of play - 6.5/10. Six feels harsh, and 7 feels too much.
And it just feels "cheap". I wouldnt mind if this was a budget game. But the lack of voice acting (For example) feels wrong. They dont have the "you are link" excuse here.. Nintendo cheaped out, made a small budget game, charged full price for it.
@Bigmanfan : no, the point of buying physical for a story based game you won’t go back to when completed, is so you can sell it and recoup half your money back.
Which of course, wouldn’t be needed, if Nintendo, etc didn’t charge stupid prices.
Same as I’ve been saying.. whereas it would seem daft to announce it before Xmas. At the same time, it would make perfect sense to announce it before their museum opens (and have it playable there)
@Deev : You are correct. Typing without my brain working.. It was released on March 3rd.. Which is why i think same could happen here... Potentially. I mean, it'd be perfect timing to time it with the opening of their museum, and have it on display there are a pre-release thing... There would be queues around the block to play it..
The disclaimer at the start of video implies that the remake is censored, and how I read it, you can play with the original uncensored version- but then you don’t get full hd, etc?
@-wc- : I do actually understand cable coming out of top.. especially if you're playing while charging. No different to xbox controller then? (I dont own a ps5 controller to see how they charge). But I'd have thought a cable coming out of bottom while playing would be weird... Dreamcast did that, and it was my least favorite part of the system (which I loved back then)
My biggest problem is I know this will come with a nintendo tax, and cost WAAAY more than they to.
Sorry, wasnt replying to you directly (even though I was), I was replying to all the people saying "Nintendo dont do M rated games", when, if anything, ignoring tired repetitive shooters - they probably do more than the other 2 do.
@anoyonmus : Geist and Eternal Darkness both published by Nintendo.
Resi 4, originally a GameCube exclusive, exclusive paid for by Nintendo. Manhunt, the Nintendo version was the only uncensored one. Conkers bad fur day, censored on Xbox, uncensored on n64.
Nintendo have done non family friendly stuff before.
@daftmagician : I said R-Rated. Mario goes postal, fed up with bowser constantly going back to his old tricks, Mario gets a machete and a flame thrower... With some X-Rated bonus content if you get all the coins.

Stuff like this looks ACE! (Until you realize that it'll be hell once it's full of thousands of people)

I wont be buying it as it looks like a very dumb down simple game with awful visuals.

Re: Best Super Mario Games Of All Time
@batmanbud2 : Why would i get upset by an opinion? it's an opinion, not fact
Re: Best Super Mario Games Of All Time
Wonder is the first Mario game I've played which i "completed" and had ZERO desire to even try the after game.
It's the first mario game i sold second hand too (normally i hold onto them for repeat plays for fun). I hated every single moment of it.
I have ZERO idea why it's in any way liked, let alone loved.
Re: Best Super Mario Games Of All Time
I hate Wonder with a passion, almost as much as NSMB2.
It would be near the bottom of the pile for me. Putting it above M64 is just ... Wrong.
Mario GB deserves more love... As does Sunshine .. which is still one of my favorites.

Re: Forget 'Switch 2', Nintendo Has Just Revealed An Official Alarm Clock
Does it play “1-Up” noises if I’m having “adult” time with a partner?
Maybe play the invincibility star sound at the end?
Re: Talking Point: After A September No-Show, Will There Be An October Nintendo Direct?
I’ve changed my mind. The Switch was revealed on Oct 20th.. so they’ll do same this time, mark it’s bitrthday… it is written, clammy out.
Re: Talking Point: After A September No-Show, Will There Be An October Nintendo Direct?
There would be no reason to announce new console before Xmas, and eat into switch Xmas sales… unless they were going to launch new machine for Xmas.
I’d guess it might’ve made sense to announce it before museum opened, and have it on display there.. but…

@BANJO : Well that's the common sense way of doing it. Or reveal it on March 3rd like they did the switch.
But I dunno.. the timing of the museum.... And it IS Nintendo, always expect them to do something strange
Re: Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase & Indie World Announced For Tomorrow, August 27th 2024
Personally I bet they announce the S2 before their museum opens. Have it a reason to go to the museum, see the new machine before it's released..
(wishful thinking, you never know)
