Re: Video: New Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Story Trailer Sets the Scene Rather Nicely

Chaoz

@Tuulenpoika It'll help if people didn't constantly mention it and derail an whole entire topic and/or constantly mention it everytime the game is brought up considering there is more to the game than one dungeon. There is nothing wrong with disliking censorship, but to act like it's the only thing that matter is dumb especially since there are many, MANY popular games that has been censored in the west even back in the NES day.

I'm saying you actually do that, but it's fair to be annoyed by it.

Re: Random: Super Smash Bros. Melee Input Lag Remains a Hot Topic Among Fans

Chaoz

@AlternateButtons No hard feelings if I sounded extremely harsh. It really had to do with something else entirely and I kinda wish I didn't unleash it on you, honestly.

I'm willing to admit that Melee does overshadow Smash 4 at least a little bit. As much as I don't enjoy competitive Smash 4, I still think the game has plenty of time for development. I just don't think a large chunk of the Melee community is just going to move to Smash 4 just because the game is under developed. Sure some competitive Melee players can play both games competitively like M2K, but that says a lot about how different both games are at a competitive level.

Competitive Smash is just another way for people to have fun. Sure it's not for everyone, but the many people who enjoy it finds it just as fun as a normal casual Smash game. It's just different strokes for different folks.

Re: Random: Super Smash Bros. Melee Input Lag Remains a Hot Topic Among Fans

Chaoz

@AlternateButtons Why are you telling a large portion of the Smash community to just "move on"? Not only would that be damaging to the Smash community as a whole, but you're telling people who has spent countless hours playing something they love to go away just because you don't like the game at a competitive level. Do you know how incredibly selfish that sounds? Even as a Melee player myself who doesn't care for competitive Smash 4, I still don't want the sub community to die because that's just a selfish thing to say.

Honestly, if you don't care about competitive Melee or just came here to crap on other people's passion, then you should really just go. I know I sound kinda harsh, but after being in the Melee scene for at least 2 and a half years now, I'm kinda fed up with people constantly talking absolute crappie about it even though they don't know anything about it. Just my honest abit petty opinion.

Re: Legend Maker Aims to Allow Gamers to Create Their Own Adventures With Links to the Past

Chaoz

@jbopatrick There is nothing wrong with using Game Maker what so ever. Yes, it is true that it used as a somewhat beginner game design tool it is still a viable engine for something this game is trying to do. I mean Game Maker was the engine behind Undertale, which is by the way a incredibly critically acclaimed and consider by some people one of their favorite games of all time.

It is pretty obvious that the designers are getting inspirations from Zelda, but that is only because Nintendo decided to take down the original project (The original project was a Zelda fangame that was obviously inspired by Super Mario Maker with the ability to create your own Zelda dungeons and worlds). If the project wasn't taken down, it wouldn't have to make character designs strongly inspired by Zelda.

Adding on to my whole Nintendo take down point, it would only make sense to charge money for something like Legend Maker. People have been asking for a "Zelda Maker" since Super Mario Maker released. Legend Maker, being something similar to that, is something people would pay money for considering the extreme demand for a "Zelda Maker".

There is no reason for Nintendo to give a C&D. Everything in Legend Maker is original and doesn't take anything from Nintendo besides the style of gameplay of a top down Zelda. Theoretically, if Nintendo were to give a C&D it would only generate an incredible amount of bad rep for Nintendo and that is something Nintendo doesn't really need at this point considering people are already mad at them for basically killing the Wii U, dropping the ball on E3 2016, and there many examples of censorship. All that negative rep only from the beginning of the year is extremely damaging to Nintendo's image and taking this down would only make it worse.

Not trying to come off as a shill, I'm just saying.

Re: Review: Star Fox Zero (Wii U)

Chaoz

I love how 99 out of a hundred of us haven't played the damn game yet we still have a comment section full of people saying "review score needs to be change!", "Nintendo needs to stop putting gimmicks in games! extremely long essay here", "Day one buy. All you guys are just haters and I'm such a special snowflake because of it!" and the review only came out less than 24 hours ago. I mean there's liking Nintendo and then there is just being over obsessive. Just wait till the game come out damnit.

Re: Feature: ENKKO's Andy Vargas on Breathing New Life into the N64 Controller

Chaoz

@Kirk People wouldn't be confused about holding it if they just made a normal controller that doesn't look even uglier than the early PS3 controller like this third party one.

Untitled

Who cares if there is a somewhat proper way to hold it when most casuals didn't have internet back then and were confused as hell as to how to hold it consider most people was us to having only 2 things jut out of an controller. Just make a proper controller so people don't have wonder about it for more than 5 seconds.

Re: Video: This New 3DS Hack Allows You to Wirelessly Stream Video to PC

Chaoz

And this is why hacking your 3DS isn't the biggest sin in the galaxy unlike what most people on here thinks. I can see this being super helpful for people who don't want to buy a $100+ capture card just to show off some 3DS gameplay. Too bad it's kinda laggy, but I'm sure it'll get fixed up in the future.

Re: Super Smash Bros. Community Yet to Ban Bayonetta in Spain as the Debate Shifts to Tournament Bullying

Chaoz

I know nothing about the Smash 4 competitive scene basically at all but I do know a little about the FGC so I'm just going to say this, Bayonetta needs a second chance. Yes, she has hilariously broken zero to deaths that from what I heard you can't even DI out of and she is a low risk and incredibly high reward character, but here is a few simple questions. Remember when Sheik was considered top tier in Melee and some even wanted to ban her also? remember when Falco wasn't top tier and was an "upper" tier character? Hell, remember when people didn't think Puff was that good in Melee? Things change in the meta game people. People find new strategies, patches can come at any point now, game changing exploits can be discovered, ect. There is no reason to ban Bayonetta this early when she only been out for 3 months. Learn to adapt, find her weaknesses, or hell instead complaining use this time to get better at the game. I'm not telling you to really git gud against a character that is basically just a win button, but don't out right ban her.

Also, do the people who always come to the comment section only to say how stupid competitive Smash is even though you have no understanding of what competitive Smash is at all, please just leave. All you're doing is making yourself look like a complete fool.

Re: Nintendo Shuts Down Browser-Based '3D' Legend of Zelda Demo

Chaoz

Well I can't say Nintendo don't have every single right to take this down unlike every other fan project they take down since Nintendo is selling the game for 5 dollars on the E-Shop while these guys are fully remaking it free of charge, but that is still quite sad. Also, if anyone bashing these guys just for making this, get ahold of yourselves. There is no reason to bash the guys for making a contribution to something they love and honestly making free fan games is a learning experience for them. Calling them "idiots" like a certain someone is plain out uncalled for and you should feel bad for shaming the same people who will be the future game developers old because they did this. At least they spending their time doing something instead of sitting in a basement and doing nothing besides bash people on the Internet for making a tribute to something they passionate about.

Re: Pokkén Tournament Punishes Players Who Rage Quit

Chaoz

That penalty is nowhere as bad as it should be. Who the hell cares about the in game currency when you're not going to even use it online and really only use it for single player content that nobody plays after day 1? At least make it so the player is unable to play the game for 15 minutes. It's better than no penalty at least like in SFV.

Re: Review: Bravely Second: End Layer (3DS)

Chaoz

@whizzkidd You can probably get by without going through the demo, but I would recommend going through it before starting the game. It has more charm than BS anyway which really says a lot about the game in my personal opinion.

Re: Review: Pokkén Tournament (Wii U)

Chaoz

If I have to go out of my way to buy another Wii U and another copy of Pokken just to play it at decent framerate then I'll buy this when it's on sale. Local coop and framerate should always be things that Fighting games put in top priority along with character balance and whatnot.

Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD (Wii U)

Chaoz

@Minotaurgamer Excuse me for complaining about a game that I can't even f***ing play on the Wii because I'm left handed and me not being crazy enough to buy a expensive Gamecube copy of it. Stop standing for other people like a SJW and defending Nintendo as if they can do no wrong for Christ sake.

Re: Reaction: The Pokémon Direct Was Short and Slick, But Had a Blunted Impact

Chaoz

@Einherjar Literally the the point of Pokémon was to make you play with your friends and have fun battling and trading Pokémon together. Not only would making you be able to catch every single Pokémon would shit over the entire concept, but the point of splitting the games in the first place. Pokémon was never made to be a game where you can get the full experience just by playing by yourself, not even before Red and Green was created. It was meant to be a game where you can enjoy with your friends and have fun trying to "catch'em all" by trading version exclusive Pokémon and maybe even evolving your own friend's Pokémon. It's the exact reason why Pokémon was such a successful series in the first place. I don't care if you like to complete games fully, but taking out that would just be idiotic.

Re: Trademarks And Logos For The Next Pokémon Game Surface Online Ahead Of Tomorrow's Nintendo Direct

Chaoz

@e105zeta They could have still improve the difficulty so it's not piss easy, added to the post game, add a variety of Pokémon from different regions, make the plot actually good, and ect. Hell, they could have gone full B2W2 mode and remake the region entirely, add more areas, make older areas bigger and more memorable, expend on the plot so it's doesn't sounds like a 4kids cartoon, not make Mega Evolutions feel forced into the plot, and do a crap ton more things in general to make G6 end on a high note.

Re: Nintendo Issues Statement Clarifying How 'Petting' Will Work in Fire Emblem Fates

Chaoz

@Yorumi Why in the name of God would anybody watch fansevice anime on TV or anime on TV and all and judge it as if the TV anime watchers are the same as most anime watchers? TV anime watchers are the types that watches DBZ, One Piece, Naruto, and other popular anime that about men kicking each other asses, not stuff like Lucky Star, Kiss x Sis, and Kill la Kill.

And I don't know where you have been, but fansevice anime/manga and hentai hasn't been as plentiful as it is now.

Re: Super Mario Bros. Z Creator Launches New Patreon Page After Nintendo Takedown

Chaoz

@Action51 Are you even reading what the hell I'm saying? The Patreon wasn't going directing into SMBZ. Hell, for all we know Mark didn't put a cent of that money into SMBZ and just put it into the other, non copyrrighted things he makes. Do you see where I am getting at? There is literally no proof or evidence that he putting all of this money into SMBZ instead of doing what he loves the most. Stop acting like you know how this type of stuff works.

Re: Super Mario Bros. Z Creator Launches New Patreon Page After Nintendo Takedown

Chaoz

@Action51 As I said before, the thing is that the Patreon didn't go directly into SMBZ. It was literally was only made so he can spend his time animating and drawing more often. It benefited SMBZ, sure, but all of the money wasn't going towards SMBZ and was going towards multiply projects. He is in no way, shape, or form "profitting from other people's characters". If that was the case he would have put it in his old Patreon and in his Patreon video that he not using the money for anything beyond SMBZ. He knew this type of shit would happen if he didn't put it into the Patreon Nintendo would jump on him so he decided to try he best to make that clear, even though Nintendo did jump on him anyway. And if Nintendo really cared about "a hack directly stealing the names of a commercial product to cash in on it's popularity." (which is a dumb thing to say since this "hack" has inspired a multitude of famous animator and sprite artists and SMBZ has been insanely popular for a long time) every Nintendo related let's play would have been took down by now, every single artist who has made Nintendo related fan art for money would have been sued, and every game that rips off anything from Mario would have been taken down. That is your logic being applied to literally everything Nintendo related

Re: Super Mario Bros. Z Creator Launches New Patreon Page After Nintendo Takedown

Chaoz

Oh come the f*** on. He didn't even start the Patreon just because of SMBZ, he just started because animating things in general can take a long time even when they are original. He even said on the Patreon. I'm not saying it's wrong that Nintendo try to protect their IP, but with porn artists constantly starting Patreons and using Nintendo characters in their work and sometimes charging for it just rubs me the wrong way. There is so much crap out there that Nintendo could takedown (that half of the times charges for it) out there and never actually do, yet anything that is free for anybody to play or watch they must take down. All this will do is generate an even worse rep for NoA for everyone besides diehard Nintendo fans that will defend anything Nintendo do now.

Re: Nintendo Issues Statement Clarifying How 'Petting' Will Work in Fire Emblem Fates

Chaoz

@Yorumi Your friends and people you know from forums /=/ The entire anime/manga community

There is a large audience for fanservice anime that is most likely larger than people who watches anime for good stories and it's being straight up delusional thinking there isn't one. Anime fans themselves made them get a bad rep and the butt of most jokes, just like Sonic fans.

Re: Hyperkin's ProCube Controller is Heading to GameStop in North America

Chaoz

@TheRegginator Wireless input lag doesn't really matter much in Smash 4. It is hardly noticeable unlike most other fighting games and Smash 4 isn't even close to being as technical as Melee and Project M when playing on a CRT with Gamecube wired controllers actually can matter in a match; even then the only thing that really matters is rather or not you're playing on a CRT in the first place. The controller itself, at least from what I heard, doesn't have much input lag anyway.
