Re: Rising Star Games Is Bringing 3DS Action RPG Sadame To Europe And North America This Month

Chaoz

@Dave24 What those Fates being censored and not having a Europe have nothing to do with this. Fire Emblem or Nintendo has nothing to do with this game at all. This game isn't even in the same type of situation that Fates is in. There was literally no point into mentioning that at all besides making yourself seem idiotic by comparing two things that aren't alike in any way and bring up controversy, as if we don't have enough of that, that has no place for discussion here at all.
(It's not like Europe hasn't had enough favoritism already from 2015. We didn't get Paper Jam till this year and God knows when Bravely Second will come out here.)

Re: Review: FreezeME (Wii U eShop)

@Spoony_Tech How does that remotely does that? Anybody who don't care for read would probably just scroll all the down to where the score is anyway. That and a simple score doesn't really doesn't do a good job of telling about the game.

Re: Site News: Welcome To The Brand New Nintendo Life!

This new redesign is wonderful on my Samsung Galaxy. It looks insanely clean! Although I can so without the giant white bars everywhere on the desktop, I still think it is a great redesign overall. The new like feature and being able to see your mentions anywhere on the site is a good touch that was long needed.

Re: Perfect Your Battlefield Fashion with this Fire Emblem Fates Customizer App

This has been around for a long time I think. Since September I think, but I digress; I'm probably going to make my avatar like the picture below for my lunatic run. They're suppose to look like older versions of my Nohr and Hoshido character. Have no clue how I'm going to make my third path OC look. Might keep it the default male/female design.

Re: Video: Nintendo Introduces the Battle Mechanics of Fire Emblem Fates

Chaoz

@AVahne I don't really mind the streamlined gameplay. A game, in my opinion, doesn't need a thousand different mechanics to be fun and challenging. Sure, I missed some older stuff from previous Fire Emblem games like the weapon use limit that made you choose your weapon carefully, it is the basic gameplay of Fire Emblem that I care the most about and the reason why I like the series in the first place.

Re: Video: Nintendo Introduces the Battle Mechanics of Fire Emblem Fates

Chaoz

@AVahne Pair-ups are nerfed to hell in Fates considering enemies can now pair-up and screw you crap up instantly if you're not careful, can't block and attack on the same turn, and your movement being decreased. You'll have to elaborate more on "NES gameplay" because that can me a crap ton of things.

Re: Review: Dark Half (SNES)

Chaoz

Never heard of this game for sure and I heard of a ton of SNES hidden gems. I guess I'll try this out after I get done with Nohr.

Re: Hands On: Seeking an Awakening in Fire Emblem Fates

@Zup Please for the love of all things holy avoided Lunatic. That mode is so freaking unbalanced it'll make you want to crucify the devs of Awakening for making such a terrible hard mode that you would think a JRPG designer amateur would make instead of a multi million dollar them. It's not like Awakening doesn't already have terrible map design, the incredibly unbalanced lunatic mode plus that will make you feel like you're playing a slot machine of a game. I didn't even freaking touch Lunatic + mode without grinding.

Re: Hands On: Seeking an Awakening in Fire Emblem Fates

Chaoz

@MitchVogel I really recommend you to try out the GBA Fire Emblem games, FE8 to be specific. It's an amazing game to play after finishing Awakening (and in my opinion the better game) and it is great for non Fire Emblem veterans, after all, it was my first. After that I would probably try out Fire Emblem 7 and Fire Emblem 6 afterwards. The sad thing is is you want be able to replay Awakening afterwards because Awakening is really far from being better than any of those games sadly.

Re: Fire Emblem Fates Removes 'Petting' Feature in Western Localisation

Chaoz

@Shirma_Akayaku Browserhax is still working? That's news to me, I thought Nintendo killed it after 10.4 came along, at least that's what I heard. There are still plenty of people getting soft bricks also (I got about 10 to 12 soft bricks even when I was doing everything right) and a few full bricks.

Re: Fire Emblem Fates Removes 'Petting' Feature in Western Localisation

Chaoz

Let's time I played Fates the only thing that the petting did was bulid support from the character, something you can do just fine by playing the damn game while not acting like an old profanity. I don't really get the whole outrage about this honestly. Call me an apologist, but you can't make me care about something that is so useless that I didn't even touch the mode for the entirety of my Hoshido run of the game on Lunatic. Now if Nintendo lowers the difficulty becasue of the western audience, then we have a large freaking problem. I'm sure /v/ is having a whole parade over this news though.
>Kotaku
Lol. A infant is a better news source than Kotaku and I can't possible think of any reason to re-report any of the bullcrap they say.

Re: Review: Final Fantasy Explorers (3DS)

Chaoz

I'll try this out later tomorrow thanks to the English version being leaked recently. I really does seems like a poorman Monster Hunter though, hopefully it's not as true as people make it out to be. I been wanting to play this since E3 2016.

Re: Nintendo Further Explains Fire Emblem Fates Localisation, With Same-Sex Marriages In Each Version

Chaoz

@DarkKirby Can't really blame Nintendo for think their audience is morons considering that many people consider Awakening hard on anything that's not Lunatic/Lunatic + (even then those modes are just unbalanced pieces of crap), buy and defend the equivalent of physical day one DLC, and buy the crappiest of the crappiest games they put out? I would think the same thing after pulling cheap tactics to make a quick buck.

Re: Poll: Are You Optimistic About Nintendo's 2016?

Chaoz

I won't be optimistic about Nintendo till they give me a reason to be optimistic and I don't care how long that takes. Considering this year will be nothing but Japanese only games getting release over here (after group of people already translated one of those in question) and literally nothing for Japan besides the one or two niche games once every 2 months, then have no reason to be optimistic at all. In fact that just make me grow even more negative about Nintendo and I'm saying this as a freaking Nintendo fan that usually defend every stupid decision the big N makes.

Re: Feature: A Pokémon Retrospective: Generation 5 - 2010 to 2013

Chaoz

Generation 5 has to be one of my favorite generations ever. Pokemon Black and White was an amazing return to Pokemon's glory GBA days and was a complete breath of fresh air after the crap that was Generation 4. The Pokemon designs were unique a lively, the region was full of life, the characters were likable, the plot was good, the game is full of content, it had some cool spin-offs, ect. Generation 5 was just a freaking master piece of a Generation and will forever be my favorite pokemon generation. Too bad that Generation 6 sucks so hard that it's near Generation 1 levels of bad.

Re: Poll: What Did You Think of Nintendo's 2015?

Chaoz

This year for Nintendo was terrible. The only good that came out of this year was XCX, Stella Glow, MH4U, and maybe Super Mario Maker and Splatoon really. Everything else about it was utterly terrible, Iwata even died during this year! It couldn't possible get any worse than this year.
