Oh great, not only Nintendo locking content out of amiibos that will probably sell out in 5 seconds but indie devs too with below McDonald's tier quality figures as if Nintendo hasn't be dangerous close to being below that.
The fact that there is microtransactions in this game and it's controls and performance is terrible is a instant put off and just a large sign for me to not buy this
And this means anything why? Nintendo patents crap all the time, this is nothing new. If anything it could just be a concept. And here we go with more stupid NX speculation because boy people here just cannot get enough of that, even though we already speculate the every living crap out of it even though we don't know anything official about it.
The animations look terrible, too much shine and bloom, and the glowing effect on Samus is terrible. Sorry, but this looks as bad as the latest Issac Smashified.
Since Sonic Classic Collection is complete and utterly crap (None of the games actually runs like the original, lag everywhere, graphical glitches everywhere, the audio is terrible, removing a lot of small things from the original games, ect, seriously it was anything but neat) I doubt this would made it a better package. I would rather not have Crazy Tazi completely ruin too Sega.
@Monado_III I don't know about most games running fairly well. I had a good amount of sound issues with Super Metroid and pretty much every SNES game. No frame buffer or graphical glitches tho. Hopfully the GBA emulator starts improving soon.
@BoshiBoy Ironhax doesn't even let you pirate games, smealum wouldn't even allow himself to do that. Smealum even apologizes to the Ironfall devs for getting the game pulled from the E-Shop. The game going to get put back up right after Nintendo patch this anyway, so that barely important. Nobody, and I repeat nobody, is going to buy a new console just for a few games that are in Japan only. Nobody made of money, and I already gave my money to Nintendo for my well earn console. Their is no reason why the 3DS and Wii U to be region locked, and I don't care if I'm not a quote "true Nintendo fan" in your eyes, because at least I'm no Nintendo fanboy.
@LuciusHellmonde Yeah because their isn't around 100 games on the GBA that has been published by Nintendo. Also you can play online even if you have a old version of the 3DS with a Gateway or any other current 3DS hack.
@BoshiBoy "And no one cares that much about imported games," You're either a shill or a really, really close minded person. Do you have any idea how many games never make out of Japan? Iet me tell you a story, their is a series call Taiko, it a series full of rhythm games that are extremely fun and I big fan of him. Guess what though, none of his games after the first one never got released in America because of the poor sales of the first one. This is no problem for most consoles though, as most of them are region free and I can play them on a english console, but I can't do that for the Wii U or 3DS. If I wanted to play those 4 games I would need to buy a Japanese 3DS and Wii U, and nobody made of money so I can buy both of those. Now instead of thinking about just me, think about other fans of series that almost never make it out of Japan (most Dragon Quest for example) that can't play the series games just because so men in business suits won't allow them to play games out of their region even though most consoles let you do that. Plenty of people care about imported games, and you're close minded to think that.
@dadajo I'll have to agree. There is literally no reason to be mad about this, even more since this is very early and you can barely do anything with it. It's not even as bad as the Wii, the thing that got hacked so early (mostly because the Wii's files got leaked and hackers quickly took a look at it) and made it easy to pirate Wii games, people are getting their panties in a tight for nothing.
It seems people on Nintendo Life to be very anti-hacking for no reason, I mean it almost sounds like you people like being lock to a certain region and being unable to play games from others, something everybody but Nintendo don't do. It doesn't even allow the pirating of 3DS for god sake, the only thing you can do is play games from other regions, use emulators that are mostly very early, and play some Homebrew games. You guys are being anti hack for no reason, the only thing remotely bad this hack cause is the Ironfall being remove from the E-Shop.
@Kirk Yeah and he was talking like a know it all and was making us sound dumb at the same time, not to mention he also called Sakurai a jerk. If you don't think that insult then I wonder how you react when your friends try to insult you.
You sign a NDA document You break it by calling your costumers complete idiots and reveal too much information You get fired because of it Look I feel kinda sorry for this guy, but he brought it on himself and there shouldn't be 2 articles of this guy explaining himself even though he know there is no defending himself. No matter how cruel it may sound that just how big companies and life in general works, you're always going to have rules and laws you will have to follow if you want to be anything but a hobo living life as if he was in the stone age.
Coming from the same studio that made the Lords of Shadow series, I'm not really sadden by this news. Not to mention it does sounds exactly like Federation Force, but for the Wii U and with 4 more hunters.
@MightyKrypto Can any developer give a single compliment to their competitors without being write off as "PR Talk"? It always war with you people sometimes.
@Kirk So you don't respect any company, because everyone does that. Hell, even Sony and Microsoft does that. That just how jobs work in the real world, and there is no way to change it. You either like it and get a well paying job or you don't and get a cheap job.
And of course their would be complaining about something that could prevent people from being overwhelm and get to actually know the tools instead of giving you the basics so you can slowly get better so you'll be able to create good levels.
Even though I love the every living crap out of my Wii U, it basically dead at this point. There is no way the Wii U going to get anymore third parties at this point with out paying the developers to do so, not only that but most developers wouldn't even accept it because most people that own a Wii U don't buy third party games for it so there will barely be a profit from it. Sorry to all those hardcore Nintendo fans and Wii U owners, that just the sad truth really. If anything this will come on the NX, as there has been so much news about games being ported on it lately and it probably going to replace the Wii U.
@AVahne Those games aren't even developed by Concept except Soul Sacrifice (I don't even think Comcept even contributed that much to that game anyway), Keiji Inafune only putted Beck in Mighty Gunvolt just get more PR. And most of the games Nintendo delay aren't platformer with only 8 STAGES. I get the "A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad." crap, but most indie devs can make a decent 2.5D platformer in under a year with 8 stages. How the hell does a a company as big as Comcept take more than 2 years to develop something as simple as a Mega Man clone and some indie devs can do it faster? Comcept is a company that completely inconfidence in business (I use to consider Keiji Inafune a good Conman, but after the PR diaster that was Red Ash I wouldn't even consider him that) and game developing.
@luke88 Why though? Nintendo are complete idiots for not even putting the GBA and SNES games on the Virtual Console and region locking the 3DS so they deserve to have their system modded so everybody is able to pirate SNES and GBA games, remove the region locking, and across 3DS games without buying them. They brought it on their selves.
@moomoo When more than half of that list of games is NES games that you're probably not going play for more than 4 hours and some of the 3D ones not even being well received, The Rare Replay is only slightly more worth it than the Metroid Prime Trilogy and Kirby Dream Collection, but the prices from each region is not always the same so that's subjective. When Rare downfall started is different from person to person, so it'll be better if we got off that subject.
@Ryno You're glad Microsoft bought Rare because of one game that is literally nothing but a collection of games that shows how much of a shadow of their former self? You're glad that Microsoft forced a good company to make shovelware for the Kinect?
@KillScottKill I don't know where you live, but Kirby Dream Collection is only 30$. 20$ at Walmart. Not to mention Metroid Prime Trilogy was $15 dollars at the E-Shop at one point, all 3 games that are bigger than pretty much everything on the Rare Replay (not that makes the Rare Replay a worse deal by any means)
@Wolfgabe If NoA barely listen to us then that means they will hardly send any of the fans response to NoJ and even if they do they probably misunderstand most of it. Barely anybody owns a Wii U or consoles in general in Japan so they won't get much responses there. You know the rest.
And of course America won't get this including Kirby's Return to Dreamland Donkey Kong Country Returns, Metroid Zero Mission, the version of Metroid for the Famicom with an actual save system, Final Fantasy VI, the other Fire Emblem games, ect! Seriously what the hell is NoA doing?
I can't believe Splatoon made so many people actually buy a Wii U. Too bad it basically a dead console, hopefully Nintendo smakes me in the face and prove me wrong soon.
To all of the people saying King K. Rool can come back because some other fighters have Mii costumes, let me remind you pretty much all of those characters are characters we knew was going to make it to Smash 4. Not trying to rain all over your parade or be a douch, I'm just saying.
I actually remember this being just a fangame in the Sonic Retro forums, nice to see the game improved so much to be consider it own game. LakeFeperd deserves the money after making Sonic Before the Sequel and After the Sequel, two games that has been better than most modern Sonic games such as Sonic Lost Worlds and Sonic Boom. I'm probably pledge my $15 today.
Even though I have Shantae on my DS and Steam already, Shantae: Risky's Revenge Director's Cut is the game I'm most excited about. If only it and the original Shantae also had a Wii U port too. Lifespeed and Antipole DX are also some games I'm excited about, but not as much as Shantae.
@Melkac Sure didn't stop them from showing off the Wii U gamepad early even though Sony already copy the Wiimote. Plus what @gatorboi352 said .Sony and Microsoft won't even pay attention to Nintendo latest gimmick unless it sells about as well as the Wii, but I doubt they'll even copy their gimmick after that seeing as how badly the Playstation Move and Kinect fail.
@TwilightAngel I doubt the NX will come in 2016, or else they would have talked about it this E3 instead of the next if it that near completion. The earliest the NX would launch is mid 2017. Nintendo consoles have the tendency of launching a year or two after they are revealed.
