Re: Review: Don't Crash (Wii U eShop)

Chaoz

As other said, is it really doesn't make sense to give it a 1/10. It doesn't even cost that much and Most of RCMDIAX games goes on sale every 2 seconds so it is worth it price. The game is simple and sweet fun (that deserves a mobile port imo) and it not broken or buggy. Even Luv Me Buddies got a higher score at that game is complete and utter broken, crap. The game does what it sat out to do, create a short sweet game that you play when you're bored. Sure the games is better suited for mobile in my humble opinion, but it still does what it trying to do successfully. But hey, that's just my opinion.

Re: DeNA Executive Confirms Plans For Five Nintendo Smart Device Games in Five Genres

Chaoz

@PlywoodStick Where the hell are you even getting this from? Nintendo handhelds are as fine as day. Not to mention your unnecessary sterotyping of mobile games when a few are them are actually good. And Nintendo won't even be pushing these out at a fast rate, so I'm betting they will be actually good. Plus touchscreen controls are horrible for most games and Nintendo is not even working on these games (DeNA just have control over there IPs) so they don't have to waste time on weaker hardware so why would they even consider leaving the handheld market? Anyway I would love a Rhythm Heaven and WarioWare game on mobile, there are so many things they can do with them on mobile and they would be literally god tier time wasters.

Re: Unseen64 Digs Up Development Insights Into Metroid Prime: Hunters, Dread and Federation Force

@TwilightAngel When did I say they were alike, and it's not my fault if Quorthon was being unspecific in the first place. I may be wrong about Bayonetta and Devil Third being comparable, but Xenoblade, Dark Souls, and Bloodborne are all compared. Xenoblade has tons of lore that you can choose to find out about, it can be difficult, and they're all action RPGs. If Quorthon meant a complete port of Bloodborne or Dark Souls, then yes I am very wrong. And you write as much nonsense as me and Quorthon, since most of the stuff you say are literally have nothing to back it up.

Re: Unseen64 Digs Up Development Insights Into Metroid Prime: Hunters, Dread and Federation Force

Chaoz

@Quorthon "Pretty much all remakes are pointless. I'm glad you're finally catching up,"
Untitled

I'm not even going to read the rest of paragraph because that was the dumbest thing I read all week. I could sit here for hours typing why you can't be anymore wronger than you're are now, as if I didn't already put why remakes are a good thing in the end of my comment. The original Metroid is completely unplayable and just outdated now-a-days, it's a chore to play through and there is a reason why every Metroid fan remcomends Zero Mission over the original. Zero Mission fix every problem the original Metroid had and adds better controls. You're literally the only person that I heard being unironically disappoint with Zero Mission even though it fixed everything about the original Metroid and made it playable. Remakes in general are good things. Remakes can make a game that sucks compared to today standards good, remakes can bring new content to the game, remakes can fix the game bugs and make the game more streamline, ect. You have no reason to dislike remakes, so I hope you was just drunk when you typed that.

Before I start this I just want to say Super Metroid sold like crap compared to Fusion, so yes the sales slowly improved it self after Fusion. I have no idea how you thought I was trying to say Metroid Fusion sold better Prime because there was no point where I actually said that. If anything Fusion made more people buy Prime since most people said they enjoyed it. Zero sold less than Fusion because it's just a remake. Other M sold badly because people were mix about it. This should be common sense. And as I said before most Metroid veterans actually enjoyed Metroid Fusion (something I said twice now that you continue to ignore) so yes you are in the majority when it comes to anything you say about Fusion. Not only that but Metroid Fusion is a gateway game. Metroid Fusion was easier than many Metroid games but that allowed people to start playing the more hard and nonlinear games, again this should be common sense.

"Where's Nintendo Bloodborne or Dark Souls?"
Bayonetta, Xenoblade X, and soon Devil Third, a whole paragraph downed in just one sentence.
"Clearly, watering down Metroid games "for the kiddies" is the wrong way to go about making Metroid games."
Still better than Metroid, Metroid 2, and Super Metroid sells, plus I already said what needs to be said about this above.

On the Metroid modernization, may I show you Metroid Prime 1-3, all games that targets Metroid core audience? Also nice hit at Splatoon even though it got most of it content early in it life-span and all it content launched day one, just locked so people won't get bored of it.

"In an era when games like Dark Souls and Bloodborne are celebrated for their challenge and depth, it's absurd to think Metroid could only succeed by watering down that very same formula for the kids."
Funny how you say that when every Metroid game after Fusion targeted the core audience excluding Metroid Prime Federation Force. Quorthon you really need some sleep, you sound like you're drunk.

Re: Unseen64 Digs Up Development Insights Into Metroid Prime: Hunters, Dread and Federation Force

Chaoz

@Quorthon Well for one why are you comparing movies and tv shows to video games, a media that is completely different from both of those. The reason why Fusion is so "coddling" is become things has changed since the NES days. Kids are used to games being hand holding and linear. It like kids now are growing up sandbox games that let you do anything (Minecraft, Gray's Mod, ect). Metroid has to be modernize to get more people to buy it, so that's how we got Fusion. It maybe a dissapointment for "hardcore" fans (most Metroid fans think Metroid Fusion is a great game, even the ones that grew up with the original Metroid,) but it was for the better for the series. Metroid sales improved from that point on and it returned to it series's nonlinear roots.

Your Metroid Zero Mission agruement just falls right on it face. If Metroid Zero Mission is "unnecessary" then so are all remakes then, because Metroid Zero Mission improves on what the original game did like all remakes. And how the hell was it basically remade to Super Metroid? All it did was added some control mechanics from Super Metroid, nothing else. And having the original game on the GBA means nothing what so ever. The original Metroid is down right unplayable these days, not to mention it came out 2 years after Zero Mission.

Re: Unseen64 Digs Up Development Insights Into Metroid Prime: Hunters, Dread and Federation Force

Chaoz

@Quorthon What the hell is Zero Mission missing that the original Metroid captured? Please tell me, and Fusion was linear because it was trying to get more people to play Metroid in the first place since it not casual friendly. Many people wouldn't even have touched Metroid if it wasn't for Fusion, even so Fusion is still a great game in many Metroid fans eyes so you probably have your nostalgia goggles on when talking about Super Metroid.

Re: Unseen64 Digs Up Development Insights Into Metroid Prime: Hunters, Dread and Federation Force

Chaoz

@Quorthon It not hard to just ignore Other M completely, all they have to do is say it not canon, not like story ever been the main focus of Metroid. PLus Zero Mission and Fusion were both amazing games that are up there with Super Metroid, so I don't know where you got that from.
@Bolt_Strike As Aromaiden already said, I pretty sure they are trying to give the younger audience a chance just like Fusion, but I also think Nintendo is just having a hard time trying to think of some new stuff with Metroid. Sure exploration and shooting is fine at all, but that can only be only fun after a few games. If they keep doing the same thing over and over, exploration and shooting people would just think it would be a Super Metroid rehash or Prime rehash, and I pretty sure Nintendo understood that after hearing the response to Metroid Dread being "Metroid Fusion but on DS". That doesn't make Federation Force any better though.

Re: Weirdness: A Mighty No. 9 Live-Action Movie is On the Way

Chaoz

Why in the name of hell does Mighty No. 9 needs a live-action movie? The game isn't even out yet! Inafune needs to be put on a leash because he true don't know how to handle money. Why the flying f*** does Mighty No. 9 needs a movie now? The game isn't even out yet, and nobody f***ing ask for this! Nobody, nobody in there right mind asked. Why would Inafune waste time and money on something that nobody will watch instead of developing his already bad looking game? And I won't be surprise if this in up being a flop because nobody wanted this. At this point Capcom is performing better than Inafune, at least they won't make a f***ing movie for something that don't needs one, at least they are slowly trying to redeem there selves. Inafune is doing nothing but wasting money on something that is not needed, when he should be adding more to Mighty No. 9. I losted all respect for the man, there is only so many times you can make a mistake, and this was the last straw.

Re: Feature: Taking to the Skies for a Final Look at the Star Fox Zero E3 Build

Chaoz

@arnoldlayne83 You are so wrong about that Nintendo needs to dare more topic. Nintendo just release 2 new IPs this year that is not like the games they made before, and at least one of them had a had tons of marketing towards modern kids. Not only that but Nintendo been making a lot of innovations to their already establish series. Mario Kart 8 introduced a new mechanic, Hyrule Warriors changed Zelda gameplay entirely, Yoshi Wolly World introduced a new type of gameplay for Yoshi, Metroid Prime Federation Force mix up the Metroid formula, ect. You'll be lying out of your butt off you say Nintendo didn't take a lot of dares this gen, even though it did lead to some problems.

@TheLastLugia Please just stop. You're embarrassing yourself at this point.

Re: Feature: Taking to the Skies for a Final Look at the Star Fox Zero E3 Build

Chaoz

@Savino 2 actually, and a lot of people that actually played said the game is pretty fine and most of the people here says it look fine at every department but the graphics, something I can agree on. The only game that are actually get hate is Amiibo Festive and Metroid Prime: Federation Force. So you're completely wrong about most of the fans part. Second, you have no actual proof that you played the game at all, so you can't say it even plays bad. Sure it may look bad, but have you actually played it? Stop spreading lies about something that isn't even out.

Re: Sega Sorry That It "Betrayed" Fans, Hopes To Win You Back With A New Game Announcement This September

Chaoz

@MightyKrypto Even after Sonic Boom and them killing off all of there actually good series like Jet Set Radio, Space Channel 5, Gunstar Heroes, ect? As much as you complain about Nintendo you have to admit Sega is doing rather crappy these days, take that from a ex Sega fanboy. And the Dreamcast 2 will never happen, ever. Sega probably doesn't even have half the money to become more than a third party company.

Re: FreezeME, Coming to Wii U, Looks Rather Similar to Super Mario Galaxy

Chaoz

@BLPs Compared to literally everyone else Nintendo Life comment section is the most negative about everything, I would go ahead and make a spiritual success. There will always be some people that are extremely nitpicky, no matter what your game is. Take that from a person that currently a sprite artist for a fangame that has received tons of those people. Anyway the fame itself really does look enjoyable, it look like a mix of Mario Galaxy and Banjo and Kazooie, too games that are some of my favorite games of all time. Glad to see the WII I getting some more 3 platformer as well.

Re: Keiji Inafune's RED Ash: The Indelible Legend Off to a Strong Start on Kickstarter, but Wii U Version is Doubtful

Chaoz

As if I was going to back this after Mighty No. 9, the game will coming out with a half finished story if it doesn't pass 800,000, literally no gameplay video, and with another kickstarter for a 5 minute anime to begin with. Now I'm even less likely to back this since my Laptop can barely run full 3D games and I have to rely on multiplates. If there isn't a console version, you can kiss my money good bye Mr. Keiji Infanue.

Re: Hands On: Blast Ball Brings Crude Button Mashing and is a Poor Advert for Metroid Prime: Federation Force

@TSB Except Sonic 06 made people loss faith in Sonic (like me). Sonic 06 was universally panned by everybody. Sonic 06 was considered the darkest days of Sonic. Sonic 06 took everybody hoped and threw tnem in tne trash. Sonic 06 nearly single handly kill the Sonic franchise. That's an absolutely stupid thing for you to say.

Anyway, I'll wait till I play it. So far I just have mix feelings about it. It looks like it plays like Metroid Prime, so I may pick it up.

Re: Project H.A.M.M.E.R. Exposé Reveals Torrid State Of Affairs At Nintendo Software Technology

@MightyKrypto Japan and American culture is very different. We have different ideas and morals. Of course they wouldn't understand and would ignore there ideas. It not that they're racist, they really just won't understand there ideas because the west and east have very different ways of thinking. Not that I actually like that idea. I really wish Nintendo would actually give western devs a chance sometimes, but it understandable. If anything NOJ needs to work on being able to communicate with people around the world. Give NOA more freedom, treat your western audience better, fire Reggie, listen to people outside of Japan, ect.

Re: Project H.A.M.M.E.R. Exposé Reveals Torrid State Of Affairs At Nintendo Software Technology

Chaoz

@MightyKrypto But the game literally look like shovelware. Seriously, even the devs thought it was a mess. Sure it wrong of Nintendo to be so picky (I think Nintendo quality control is nearly worst than Apple's), but it really looked like some shovelware you'll find on the Gamecube. The game looks repetitive as all hell after the first few hours or so. There was a reason why people thought it was generally bad. Nothing of importants was lost in this. Not like most of the games they made were really good. Decent at best.

Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Wii U eShop / N64)

Chaoz

@Dpishere Even by N64 standards I would have thought this would be be bad when I was younger. Sure it graphics were good looking, but that novelty just wears off after a while. There was better games for the PS1 and N64, and it really shows. I mean it was release in the same era Majora's Mask was release, one of the games that I would consider to be my favorite games of all time.

Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Wii U eShop / N64)

Chaoz

A 10 out of 10 is a bit much, isn't it? Let's admit, oot has aged as well as milk. This game have so many problems that it doesn't even deserve to be called good. Oot, at least in my opinion, is just a pain to play in my opinion. The game is just slow and boring, and just an overall disappointment. Maybe it because I never owned a N64 as a kid (I still had a Snes), so playing this on the Gamecube after playing Lttp some many times just made me feel lie the game was over hyped. Oot is a best decent and at worst near Sonic 06 levels of bad.

Re: Prototype SNES PlayStation Found In The Wild, Unicorn And Big Foot Expected Next

Chaoz

@hYdeks At this point you're acting like a Sony fanboy (which make me question why you joined Nintendo Life in the first place sense you been saying Nintendo doom Sony for life since you joined) by not even consider why Nintendo "doubled-crossed" Sony. The reason why Nintendo "doubled-crossed" SOny because they was trying to take the SNES away from them. Sony used hardware on that they patented that Nintendo didn't know about till later. That would have mean that Nintendo would to pay to Sony to sell their games and Sony could claimed the game if they wanted to. That basically means Sony plan was to take the SNES from Nintendo. If Nintendo didn't drop that deal, Nintendo would have been as dead as Sega (at least during the Dreamcast era) at that point. That could have also mean that Sony wouldn't have made the Playstation you know and love, so before you make a stupid claim like that at least check up on your history. Also do you hate options? Be thankfully that you still have a choice of 3 great systems in the first place. Who knows what gaming would have turned into if Nintendo agreed with that deal.

Re: Talking Point: The Pros, Cons and Questionable Likelihood of a Nintendo NX Release in Summer 2016

Chaoz

@MightyKrypto This E3 only showed off games that are coming very soon, so I doubt that's all the Wii U have for 2016. Plus it completely stupid to waste money releasing something in the Summer when they could have made a bigger profit by releasing it in the Winter. Also it's one month after E3. Unless Nintendo is going to make the NX an rush ungodly mess I doubt it will ever release in 2016 July.

Re: Rumour: Nintendo NX Shipping This Time Next Year, 20 Million Sales Targeted In First 12 Months

Chaoz

@hYdeks Or you can buy a PC and have the best of both worlds instead of wasting your money on something that don't even have that many exclusives (at least exclusives that interest me) and nobody, even hard core Nintendo fans, believe this.

Anyway this rumor sounds all kinds of wrong to me. After Wii U, I wouldn't expect Nintendo to be so full of their selves to expect 20 million in the first year. Unless the NX has a really good launch and just overall sounds good, that'll never happen. Not only that, but the NX will be shown off at the next E3, there is no way it going to be launching literally a month afterwards.

Re: Shovel Knight is Coming to Retail

Chaoz

Why would you ever make a retail version of a game like Shovel Knight? It's a waste of money, most people already bought Shovel Knight digitally because it was the only thing they could do. Now you're going to listen to people demand and make it about a year after Shovel Knight came out? This is going to flop horribly in retailers.
