I personally don't have any issues with small text, although if other people do, then it should probably be a teensy bit bigger. Then again, this game has been out for, what, a year now in Japan? I doubt any patches are going to happen anymore. I will echo the complaints about the sound-mixing though. It got really silly after chapter 4 or 5, where a bunch of exposition is dropped on the player... but we can't actually hear the people talk because the music decided it needed the attention more.
@sillygostly The best animation a game could pull off on the original DS was in Ghost Trick. Indivisible is leagues beyond that, from what I can tell. Sure, they could make a Wii U version, but it would be a gimped version of what their vision is for the game on PC / PS4. And after what happened with Watch_Dogs, I'd rather have them focus on making their game the best it can be on their target systems.
I guess I'll just get this on PC then. Game looks fantastic, and I can certainly see how the game might be a bit too demanding to run on Wii U at the same quality as other versions. And, well, I'm just glad this game got funded in the first place!
Man, this is a rad week for downloads. Awesome Kirby games, the Cyber Deals, even more Picross goodness, the massively underappreciated Zack & Wiki, Paper Jam and of course XCX. I'll keep my fingers crossed that the datapacks still go online before launch; I don't want to spend launch day downloading stuff from the eShop.
Oh no, I really wanted to get this at launch, but now that it's releasing in the same month as XCX and Paper Jam, it's going to have to wait. Confound it, holiday season!
I'm with MrSeitaro on this one, you can pretty much skip this. It's artstyle and gameplay are kinda uninspired, the lack of story pretty much destroys the experience though. If you want to play a good JRPG, there are plenty of far more inventive, fun and more memorable ones on the 3DS, DS, and Wii. Think Xenoblade, Last Story, Inazuma Eleven, Dragon Quest 9, Bravely Default, any MegaTen game, Etrian Odyssey, and of course a bunch of timeless classics on Virtual Console.
"we're mainly getting virtual mobile phones thrown at our eyeballs, which isn't too offensive." Right underneath that paragraph I had a phone advert. Nicely played, advert company. New website design looks good. I'll leave my Adblock off to support the free internet service.
@Grumblevolcano Oh right, I do remember them suddenly announcing a bunch of new Mii outfits right before the previous update. I suppose it could happen again, but on the other hand, things have been kind of hectic for Nintendo recently because of their CEO issues, so they may not have had the time to develop more than the Mario Maker stage. I suppose we'll find out soon enough, though.
@Grumblevolcano Oh, what's this all about? Is there another Smash rumour circulating? On topic, nothing really interesting for me, but quite a few nice discounts for some great eShop games!
"It makes perfect sense for Nintendo not to capitalise on the success of such a well-received title" I don't think that the word 'not' was supposed to be in that sentence, haha. I don't own Mario Maker myself, but you can bet that I'm going to get this stage. It's unique!
@TheWPCTraveler Now I want to see Kojima make a SMT game with typical Metal Gear storytelling. Let's have a hour long cutscene about the ethics of Demon Fusion! On topic: That pre-order bonus for the normal edition was made for me. Sure hope that makes it over to the rest of the world.
Still having fingers crossed for an optional way to grind levels. My only complaint about the first game was that I constantly felt like I was on a slippery slope with the difficulty, where my characters just didn't level fast enough to keep up with the enemies. I am, of course, aware that in a strategy game like this you often have to out-tactic your stronger opponents, but still.
I was very surprised to see Dutch webshop bol.com restock these four amiibo among others like Greninja and Jigglypuff. So I snagged Ganondorf to complete my Triforce Trio, and Zero Suit Samus to complete my... Samus Duo. Now just restock that goshdarn Kirby already!
Heya, Arc System Works... how about them fighting games, eh? I'm sure there are quite a few Wii U owners interested in a BlazBlue or a Guilty Gear or even a Persona Arena! This looks kind of eh, though. We'll see if they are when reviews come out.
So after having played ProjectXZone 1, I can't help but notice that a lot of the teams here have been changed, with virtually all female characters being replaced with male ones. Instead of Xiaoyu we now have Kazuya joining Jin, and the same happened in the 'Tales of' team. I hope they haven't changed the Frank/Hsien-Ko team, I loved the absurdity of that. I do like the new Dante/Vergil team though, makes a lot more sense than Dante/Demitri. Overall still looking forward to seeing what new characters get introduced in this game, and hoping that they will include some way to grind experience.
@TreesenHauser Well, maybe Ryu would come with a Street Fighter stage with a few well known SF song. If this is at all true, of course, which I really doubt but really would want to happen!
I enjoyed the gameplay of the first game. Got a bit grindy near the end, but I have a pretty high treshold for monotonity (Is that even a word?) If the promotional material I've seen around the interwebs is right, they pretty much doubled the amount of playable characters (Unless that was only for those 3D Vita games). Should be fun!
I'll be all over this. I felt that IE:GO was a big step up in the gameplay department from the DS trilogy. Everything just felt far more streamlined, so that when something went wrong during a match, I could actually blame myself, and not the game. Also, that story is insane, and I love it. It's IE:2's alien invasion plot all over again.
I'm disappointed in Atlus, their cards are basically a bunch of artwork of upcoming games with a 'Happy New Year' text slapped next to it. Capcom surprises me though, their card actually looks like a lot of effort went into it. And about Bandai Namco... I don't really know what to think of it. I only know that character from Smash Run, so it doesn't really do much for me.
@Tsurii897 Is it? I'm watching the Thriller Bark arc of the anime right now, but I have no idea who that guy with the top hat in the upper part of the picture is or what his relevance to the plot is.
At first I was going to get the Kirby amiibo, but thanks to the Spinner in Hyrule Warriors I'll get Link now, instead. I'll see if I want to get any more after that if I like how they work in Smash and Mario Kart.
Raising the cap for materials is not really necessary for me because I always immediately use them for badges. If only they made the rare drops a teensy bit less... rare. I really don't want to fight the final level over and over again in the hopes that I will get the final boss's rare drop. I suppose raising the material cap could be handy if you want to make a lot of bronze drop potions, but yeah. The other updates sound exciting, though!
@andyg1971 The Twilight Princess pack is a worldwide release next thursday (november 27th) I like Twili Midna, and I hope she will be a bit less awkward to play as than Imp Midna. The Dominion Rod for Zelda looks great in that one screenshot. I was expecting a Hero's Shade alt for Link, but the Postman is so out of left field that I can't help but love it. It's the costume no one asked for, but secretly really wanted!
I wonder how many times I can say 'YES!' before it would be overkill? Loved the first two games, and was sad when the development studio went kaput. Now to have my fingers crossed for a Wii U version!
"Tournament Players Pass Judgement On 8-Player Super Smash Bros." Tournament Player: "Not enough like Melee." Ah, but I jest. I'm looking forward to hectic 8-Player battles in Smash 4. I like how you can even encounter them in Classic Mode!
Yeah, no way that this list is complete. I just unlocked the Duck Hunt Duo, but I still have to unlock Ganondorf, Game&Watch, and some of the other characters that apparantly need less Smash matches than DHD. And I hope there are indeed more ways to get characters, because no way am I ever going to survive Extra Spicy difficulty for Junior.
So this pack contains Cia (and I assume Volga and Wizzro too?), two new costumes, a new weapon for Link, five new levels, an entire new map for Adventure Mode, and even a completely new way to play the game? Now THAT'S a lot of awesome stuff for a low price (especially if you got the 'season pass' for €15,-). Take notes, developers and publishers! This is how you do DLC!
This just reminds me that SMT4 is still not released in Europe. Ah well, I'm far too busy with Hyrule Warriors and Curtain Call to get yet another game.
@Aqueous From what I know, you can now indeed get SSS rank on songs without having to unequip all skills (The "Stoic Bonus" in the previous game). The only thing you get for having nothing equipped is some extra Rythmia (The points you need for unlocking stuff) at the end of a stage.
At least, that's what it said in a FAQ about the Japanese version of the game. I doubt they would have changed that for the worldwide release, though.
This already looks so much more fun than those Dark Notes from the previous game. With this and Hyrule Warriors coming out on the same day, I think I'll be set for the rest of the year!
SteamWorld Dig, the Mario Kart update + cars, and at least the Doctor Strange pinball table. If I still have some money left on my account after that we'll see if I get the other tables too. Good week!
Duracell batteries in Pikmin? No problem for Nintendo fans.
Zelda en Yoshi levels in Sonic Lost World? No problem for Nintendo fans.
Cars that just happen to have a Mercedes logo on the front side (ya know, the side you don't see while racing)? All hell breaks loose. I just want to know why this is such a big deal to people. "It breaks the immersion"? If Nintendo had made these cars DLC without the Mercedes tie-in, everyone would be praising them to the heavens. But nope, it's from a different company, so this DLC is obviously evil.
"I don't want to see other people use these cars online?" Honestly, do you really pay that much attention to the cars that other people use while you are desperately trying to avoid banana peels?
@ErnisDy Uhh, the first game does have achievements. Heck, last week I got a achievement for logging 100 hours in the game. I mean, sure, they don't increase a gamerscore or anything like that, but they're still there. That being said, yeah, I'm getting this game. Ya know, because I logged one hundred hours in the first game!
@Einherjar I bought the Wii U at launch for Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper, does that count?
Anyhow, Ruto is one of my favourite characters from OoT, so now the wait for this game is even more unbearable!
@Einherjar I've pretty much learned to ignore reviews about Warriors games that have those words in them, because the reviewers are pretty much never fans of the series (who would know what people who are interested in the series would want to see in a new game). A review by, say Jim Sterling, is a whole lot more reliable if you ask me.
Isn't it Tecmo Koei? Anyway, I'll definitly be one of those one million. I love Zelda and I love the Warriors series, so that kind of speaks for itself.
@Shiryu Oh man, it's refreshing to see at least ONE voice of reason on the internet. Everyone's reacting like Nintendo is going to replace the 3DS with this.
Hey Thomas, how is the timing for the hammer? I found the hammer timing in Paper Mario Sticker Star to be a bit... odd, which made me rely solely on the jump for most of the game. Is the timing for the hammer in this game like in Bowser's Inside Story?

That Cyber Deals thing sounds interesting, but I already have most games on Wii U and 3DS worth getting. Hopefully they'll surprise me anyway!
