The backlash makes it sound like the nudity was the integral, main selling point of this game 😂

But I thought Nintendo was floundering and no one was buying Switch 2 because of the stock price…!

Does Axiom Verge still chug like crazy on Switch 2? I have both of the games on PlayStation, but pixel games usually feel more right on Switch.

My closest GameStop went from 0.3 miles away to 8. 🫩

It’s barely playable on Steam Deck even with all the lowest settings and no anti-aliasing. 15-25fps most of the time with screen tearing

And to think that during the Switch 1 years, people complaining about frame rate were ostracized as nerds and not “real gamers”

Do they come with aspirin for the headaches and eye strain this famously caused?

I thought Nintendo players didn’t care about resolutions or framerates?

For all the crap Ubisoft gets (a lot is unwarranted, imo), they are quite good at console optimization.

Someone at Square mentioned all the technical considerations and constraints that led to them using GKCs, with the main one being loading speeds. The 64gb carts are also $15-20 each, which would further drive up game prices…

There’s just no way to have an affordable physical solution that can match an M.2 SSD.

@Fiergala Nowhere in the article said Switch 2 was struggling with this, just that the trolly director said it would be a lot of work. Which it could, I'm not going to pretend to understand Tekken 8's programming, game engine, and the team's available resources.

Why is everyone so certain this would be an easy port? Are there a ton of game developers here?

And I just put this game down after struggling immensely in the final bonus world! I did 100% Bowser's Fury, though, which was very fun.

Plenty of 2D games chug on the Switch, so I'm not surprised.

This is exactly what I wanted from Switch 2. Much appreciation for Digital Foundry, too, since I'm a fan of the tech side as well!
